Totally spilled a decent amount my of soda on my bed like, 20 minutes before watching this, super wishing I'd heard the "don't be me" advice a little bit sooner. Also, loving all the 'stache content.
The chili on spaghetti is a big thing here in southwest Ohio. Im sure its all over the east coast too but its so big here that Cincinnati is its own food style of the dish. Go ask Jesse Cox about a 3-way. He'll fill you in. :)
Cincinnati Chili! You can order the packets of Cincinnati Chili mix online. I just cook up a bunch of ground beef, then add the mix once it's nice and browned. Add to spaghetti, like you would regular spaghetti sauce, and life is good.
Bob's Big Boys in Los Angeles supposedly does great spaghetti and chili. It's been like....15yrs since I last had it with my dad, so I can't say if it's still as good as it was. But it exists here in LA.
In NY it was always just a thing to fry up some ground beef and then reduce some tomato sauce over it and pour that over spaghetti. I've never heard of it thought as chilli though. Oh Oregon, I outta bop ya' in the labanza!
Never done chili and spaghetti before but I have done chili and mac and cheese. That's pretty dope. You literally just mix them together and go to town. Great way to deal with leftovers.
It's Cincinnati that loves the chili + spaghetti combo. That's a chili 2 way and you can go all the way up to a chili 5 way which is chili, spaghetti, cheese, onions, and kidney beans.
If you come to Cincinnati, chili spaghetti is taken to a new art form. Called a Three Way, consists of cheese, chili , and spaghetti. There are about 5 restaurants with different variation of chili recipes. Like wine tasting, you have to try them all to get a favorite one. I prefer the Dixie Chili, with the bold ginger and tantalizing cinnamon and coco taste.
Mustache problems yo. Food gets all up in there and on the beard too. Spills are the worst. Water spilled inside the floor of my car it sucked cleaning it up.
skyline chili from the Cincinnati, Ohio...you can order can's of the chili (you can order from Kroger owned grocery stores). The chili 3 way is cheese, diced onion/or beans is my favorite thing at skyline. Also, some Big Boy Restaurants serve chili-spaghetti which is ok....
Dodger i also have my spilling moments, you are not alone. My keyboard spillages include forest fruit juice, yes with the pulp... And Baileys...so... Also, here in the Netherlands we too eat our chilly with rice!
rice is a filler so they don't have to give you a full serving of chili in the bowl, but you said the portion size is big so now I'm not sure. I have to try that spaghetti chili thing soon.
Dodge I would suggest getting some form of side table next to your computer station and that's just where all drinks live, completely seperate to all your gear. Since doing it I haven't spilled orange juice on my keyboard once.
the only time ive not had chili with rice is when ive had it from a can and didnt have rice to put under it and im from Oregon like dodger. i dont know why she thinks rice with chili is weird. i have had chili with pasta but i much prefer rice as well
Can someone clarify to me what 'chilli' is? Cause I'm just imagining spaghetti with a pile of chopped up jalapeños on top. And that sounds a bit weird.
Chili is a thick tomato dish, kind of like a chunky pasta sauce. Usually chili is made with ground meat, beans and some sort of hot pepper. It's a common American dish which has its roots in Mexico and was popularized by cowboys on the plains.
Tate B ZnakerFIN I think so, but chilli con carne is nearly always served with rice (at least everywhere I've been), whereas from the sound of it in the US "chilli" isn't...?
Akame ga Kill is the perfect example of why i will always watch the adaptation first. i find that i just can't enjoy the adaptation for what it is if it changes anything from the source material, i just pick apart every little thing and stop enjoying it. i see other people do this a lot, and i saw it happening a lot with Akame ga Kill while it was airing. i liked the anime and everyone says the manga is better, so when i finally get around to reading the manga, i will not have lost the fact that i did like the anime, i will just get a better version of the story i already enjoyed.
Dodger talks about food so much, she should totally have a cooking channel! Or maybe just a weekly series. "Dodger Eats The World" or something like that. And then we can all have spaghetti chili :3
Here in the South(ish), we eat chili with rice all the time. Also, look up Cincinnati (or Skyline) Chili for the proper type of chili to go with spaghetti. Fair warning, it's different from normal chili, but it's delicious. =3
I'm really surprised you haven't had Spaghetti Chili yet (or as they call it here in Virginia, "Chili Mac" ;D). One of my friends in California always goes to this one place in Burbank called Chili John's, and they serve Spaghetti Chili. Heard it's pretty dope, might wanna check it out ;3 Also heard Larry's Chili Dog (in Burbank as well) was pretty good too. c:
Definitely try chili and noodles (use bowtie noodles or shells), and you may want to look into making Frito pies. Not an actual pie, but still delicious.
Dodger, chili spaghetti is amazing. This is coming from a Cali born and raised girl. Haven't you been to Bobs Big Boy? It's so good but so bad for you haha.
Sorry, I had to watch this twice, I totally phased you out the first time as watson was playing with sherlocks tail, & after the video was over I realized I had completely missed a big chunk of you talking :)
I totally feel that way with the anime. Seems like I should check out the manga instead. The anime just seems so cliche'd with the lines and really feels rushed. (I only got to ep 12)
Dodger if you ever find yourself on the east coast look for a Skylines Chili, They have what you desire, It's called a Chili 3 way. Spaghetti and chili with cheese.
Wouldn't spaghetti chili be relatively easy to make? I mean, you've told us about how you made chili before, right? x3 The interwebz'll be sure to have excessive amounts of information on it ;3
Steak >> Protein shake. Similar ingredients, better taste. :3 (and probably same price, if you don't buy the cheap industrial meat. Which you shouldn't.)
I just watched the VoD of the Co-Optional Podcast and, yeah, Maggie was great! I also really likes it when TB gets all political / legal and starts ranting about that. It's interesting and educational. :3
I know someone who works for Cheesecake Factory and says that they make tens of thousands of dollars off of the ads in those menu's, which is why they are so big (which I am totally fine with honestly, it's pretty harmless and they make revenue from it). Also, may I suggest, the fried mac n cheese balls. They are great.
I liked Akame Ga Kill for a while but felt they were trying to put so much more story then the episodes would allow. You really didn't get enough time to connect to the characters before they were killed off and it was meant to mean something but just didn't. It's a shame as I thought that anime had a lot of promise behind it.
i watched a couple of episodes and then stopped. the reason is at one moment the anime is funny and hilarious and then it does a 180 and there are heads and limbs flying everywhere , and it just felt .... weird , i have no problem with gore but it just didn't feel right.
It's a problem with the series more than just the anime. I've read some way into the manga and it does feel very rushed and the characters don't really get much development other than you being told how to feel about them. **Spoiler** And the almost instant reinforcement leaves the death of some team mates feel hollow and needless.
One time on the bus on the way to school, I turned around to show my new phone case to my friend sitting behind me, and I spilled like half a can of Monster on myself.
Spaghetti is my life! Have never had it with chili on top, but it just sounds like it'd be spaghetti with a real hearty sauce lol /shrug Now pizza-spaghetti, that is something worth looking into! Put that shit together as a casserole and what you get is pure orgasmic pleasure. Actually there are all kinds of pasta/other food combinations that are amazing, there's even this lasagna-fries thing I've been dying to try for foreverrr~~
I'm Italian and reading that so many people love spaghetti on their pizza- I-I think I'll go in a corner and I'll cry. You just can't do it. Spaghetti on pizza its a sacrilege!
Oh sorry! I didn't understand! You can use spaghetti or pasta to do something delicious called "pasta pasticciata" :) you basically use the pasta and put some ragú (tomato sauce+meat) on it. Then you put everything in a casserole and then into the oven. It's delicious! You can also put some parmigiano on top!
Totally spilled a decent amount my of soda on my bed like, 20 minutes before watching this, super wishing I'd heard the "don't be me" advice a little bit sooner. Also, loving all the 'stache content.
Hawaii does both. Chili with rice or spaghetti, add garlic bread.
The intro is so cute!! :3
The chili on spaghetti is a big thing here in southwest Ohio. Im sure its all over the east coast too but its so big here that Cincinnati is its own food style of the dish. Go ask Jesse Cox about a 3-way. He'll fill you in. :)
Loved the Watson cameo and the Sherlock's tail appearance.
You make spaghetti with chili and cheddar on top. For added fun, put some ground cayenne pepper on as well
the spaghetti and chili thing is from the Midwest. I used to get it in Ohio a lot
Cincinnati Chili! You can order the packets of Cincinnati Chili mix online. I just cook up a bunch of ground beef, then add the mix once it's nice and browned. Add to spaghetti, like you would regular spaghetti sauce, and life is good.
Yeah that happens in Bama with the spaghetti
Watson interacting with Sherlock in the background was adorabru.
Bob's Big Boys in Los Angeles supposedly does great spaghetti and chili. It's been like....15yrs since I last had it with my dad, so I can't say if it's still as good as it was. But it exists here in LA.
Apparently, Sherlock was stuck under the couch so Watson came to the rescue.
She was like _wat son?_ sorry
Kain Highwind I guess we're sherLOCKED into a pun battle now...
Wait so cheesecake factory is a place that doesn't just sell cheesecake? o.O
They sell more than just cheesecakes
It's all fancy and stuff.
***** OH MY!!!! Could I buy a butt burrito there? :O
Here in australia they only sell cake, well as far as i know
***** Y'know what, that makes a whole lot more sense
6:50 what story is behind that face i wonder
I live in Iowa and we do that but it also might be a southern thing
Chilli is really good on any kind of pasta. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
It's basically a spicier bolognese, so yeah.
You two are so gorgeous together.. I'm becoming soooo jelleous >_
In NY it was always just a thing to fry up some ground beef and then reduce some tomato sauce over it and pour that over spaghetti. I've never heard of it thought as chilli though. Oh Oregon, I outta bop ya' in the labanza!
that... is just spaghetti sauce
some reason here in RI we call the ground beef/w sauce in spaghetti american chop suey
The spaghetti and chili thing you're talking about is called Cincinnati chili!
In hawaii it is a major thing to have chili with rice.
Water spilled inside the floor of my car it sucked cleaning it up.
milk spilled in the car and left to bake in the summer sun... fun for days ;)
Hatschi B Oh that's just terrible :(. Did you have to go to one of those places to get your car all shampood?
The chili thing is from the midwest. If you're ever in Ohio check out Skyline. They specialize in that kind of chili.
the point of the rice is to help with the digestion of chili. Chili is very hard on your stomach hence the gas rice stops that.
As someone who lives on the east coast, yes spaghetti with chile is actually amazing.
skyline chili from the Cincinnati, Ohio...you can order can's of the chili (you can order from Kroger owned grocery stores). The chili 3 way is cheese, diced onion/or beans is my favorite thing at skyline. Also, some Big Boy Restaurants serve chili-spaghetti which is ok....

rice is a filler so they don't have to give you a full serving of chili in the bowl, but you said the portion size is big so now I'm not sure. I have to try that spaghetti chili thing soon.
we do chili and cornbread here. which is what I expected her to say
but the cornbread is like a side dish, rice is mixed in with the chili
never eaten it that way myself...
You ever eat chili with garlic bread...#tasty
oh my god i've had that at a wake before it's a pretty awesome combo.
so much for showering everyday
Dodge I would suggest getting some form of side table next to your computer station and that's just where all drinks live, completely seperate to all your gear. Since doing it I haven't spilled orange juice on my keyboard once.
the only time ive not had chili with rice is when ive had it from a can and didnt have rice to put under it and im from Oregon like dodger. i dont know why she thinks rice with chili is weird. i have had chili with pasta but i much prefer rice as well
Cincinnati has Skyline Chili. It's amazing. You should visit Dodger.
I always spill hot steaming coffee on my hands especially when I'm at a coffee shop, and have my mess up my mood!
It's called chilli mac
The Texas Gulf Coast have rice in chili. Of course that is main crop there.
I feel your pain, Dodger. I had tea spilt onto my lap while I was on a plane flying home. That was definitely uncomfortable.
I am from the Midwest and I can confirm that we do put chili on spaghetti here quite often and it is truly a dish of the gods.
what's tap water like in LA?
Something so rancid that my friends boil their water before filtering it
AnonymousFLo
I do a similar thing here in ny. When i drink water from the tap it makes me more thirsty and it tastes unlike water.
Meanwhile here in Sydney, we have some of the cleanest, healthiest water in the world.
mXDa_ForceXm I drink Sydney water.... yes its clean but it does have a certain taste to it.
moakley It has things like Fluoride added to it. It makes it healthier than bottled water.
Chili in a bread bowl is the best (if you don't mind the carbs)
dodger search for skyline chili, they sell chili with spaghetti online. easiest way to get the real deal. it also on amazon..
We do the chili and spaghetti in Kentucky!
That place is awesome
We dont do that on the east coast xD
what sherlock holmes tv series are you watching :O? i know a lot of tv series but none of them are really new to make new episodes
Ah ok, so it essentially refers to the dish chili con carne? Is that just an american thing cause I've never heard that anywhere else.
Emmasama240 So, basically it's just short for chili con carne.
Tate B ZnakerFIN I think so, but chilli con carne is nearly always served with rice (at least everywhere I've been), whereas from the sound of it in the US "chilli" isn't...?
me2olive I don't know tbh. I'm just confused as to what they call chillies if not chilli.
Akame ga Kill is the perfect example of why i will always watch the adaptation first. i find that i just can't enjoy the adaptation for what it is if it changes anything from the source material, i just pick apart every little thing and stop enjoying it. i see other people do this a lot, and i saw it happening a lot with Akame ga Kill while it was airing. i liked the anime and everyone says the manga is better, so when i finally get around to reading the manga, i will not have lost the fact that i did like the anime, i will just get a better version of the story i already enjoyed.
hey noticed no one told you to shower today.
All I can think about now is water spilling on my desk then leaking off on to my computer, its the stuff of nightmares
Dodger talks about food so much, she should totally have a cooking channel! Or maybe just a weekly series. "Dodger Eats The World" or something like that. And then we can all have spaghetti chili :3
Rice helps make the chili less spicy, so that's probably the reason.
Check out fairy tale
Aw, Watson in the background is so cute!
In England we always have rice with chilli, I can't imagine chilli on its own with no rice lol
Here in the South(ish), we eat chili with rice all the time. Also, look up Cincinnati (or Skyline) Chili for the proper type of chili to go with spaghetti. Fair warning, it's different from normal chili, but it's delicious. =3
Chilli in the UK is almost exclusively eaten with rice... dunno what you americans are doing with your wierd pasta :P
Dunno what you americans are doing with your wierd pasta :P
wat? we don't put pasta in our chili
Dooger just said you did, and you don't put rice with it, guess I shouldn't trust her so much :P
Chilli con carne isn't a soup... it's more like a stew
Jacket potato also works.
It's not just a UK thing. Lots of Americans eat their chilli with rice.
I'm really surprised you haven't had Spaghetti Chili yet (or as they call it here in Virginia, "Chili Mac" ;D). One of my friends in California always goes to this one place in Burbank called Chili John's, and they serve Spaghetti Chili. rice in chili sounds so good...
It is, I've never had chilli without any
It might be a Spanish this or Australian thing but my family eats rice with most things basically all meats just not pasta
Chilli on spaghetti noodles is delicious, especially with spaghetti squash. :)
I DO remember the Coffee pants incident!!! :D
Or just keep liquids away from the computers. My last laptop completely died because of a water spill
Dodger, chili spaghetti is amazing. This is coming from a Cali born and raised girl. Haven't you been to Bobs Big Boy? It's so good but so bad for you haha.
go to Cincinnati to get that Cincinnati chili on spaghetti or chili dog
I don;t think i have ever had chillie without having it with rice.. i don't even. And i'm English
Sorry, I had to watch this twice, I totally phased you out the first time as watson was playing with sherlocks tail, & after the video was over I realized I had completely missed a big chunk of you talking :)
I really really like you hyrulian sheild.
I totally feel that way with the anime. Seems like I should check out the manga instead. The anime just seems so cliche'd with the lines and really feels rushed. (I only got to ep 12)
Cincinnati is where you get spaghetti on chili, I think.
if chilli is like a sauce then rice is is fairly normal
chili is like a thick ground beef tomato soup
On the whole chili thing?
Louisiana.
Everyone here eats everything ala rice. lol
You still need to try making cabbage spaghetti!
Skyline does the Chili on the spaghetti check your local freezer isle. The now distribute out of Cincinnati, OH to western States.
cant he just use a straw to drink?
Dodger if you ever find yourself on the east coast look for a Skylines Chili, They have what you desire, It's called a Chili 3 way. Spaghetti and chili with cheese.
Wouldn't spaghetti chili be relatively easy to make? I mean, you've told us about how you made chili before, right? x3 The interwebz'll be sure to have excessive amounts of information on it ;3

But, uh, yeah. It's noon here and I probably should have gone to bed about twelve hours ago. So, g'night! -.o'
Facial hair problems
We always eat chili with rice here :)
Greetings from the Netherlands :D
totally distracted by precious watson kitty in the background
I know someone who works for Cheesecake Factory and says that they make tens of thousands of dollars off of the ads in those menu's, which is why they are so big (which I am totally fine with honestly, it's pretty harmless and they make revenue from it). Also, may I suggest, the fried mac n cheese balls. They are great.
4:33 A WILD WATSON APPEARS
Can any food from the Cheesecake Factory by described as 'How it's supposed to be eaten?'
Other than Cheesecake perhaps...
Cha-la head cha-la!
I liked Akame Ga Kill for a while but felt they were trying to put so much more story then the episodes would allow. I got upset with Shele died so now I'm trying to work myself up to read the manga to see if there's more story for her instead of those quick scenes.
Also, the chili on spaghetti thing is a Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky thing. I'm not a fan.
I put rice in my chili regardless of how thick it is. Then again, I'm from Hawaii and we put rice with EVERYTHING. Ev. Ry. Thing.
The worst mustache problem is when you sneeze or something and snot gets all up in it.
it was worth
Chili on spaghetti???? Bolognes????
One time on the bus on the way to school, I turned around to show my new phone case to my friend sitting behind me, and I spilled like half a can of Monster on myself.
I Really like beards, but every person I find attractive I've ever asked (on their opinion of beards) have said that they really dislike them Q_Q
Arin has really good taste ;)
Skyline chili, Doogs! We'll send you some cans straight from Cincy.
Spaghetti is my life! Have never had it with chili on top, but it just sounds like it'd be spaghetti with a real hearty sauce lol /shrug
Now pizza-spaghetti, that is something worth looking into! Put that shit together as a casserole and what you get is pure orgasmic pleasure. Actually there are all kinds of pasta/other food combinations that are amazing, there's even this lasagna-fries thing I've been dying to try for foreverrr~~

no no no not ON pizza, that even looks disgusting.
Basically, spaghetti with pizza toppings on top. Googler up some pizza spaghetti casserole.. mmmmm.
