On LCD and other similar style connectors, sometimes it's just oxidized contacts, before replacing, try removing and reinserting the ribbon cable, if it starts working(sometimes that's all it needs), or looks better, clean the contacts of the ribbon connector. Isopropanol(rubbing alcohol) or gently with a pencil eraser.
Thanks for the tip! Does that apply to LCD displays that are soldered to the board?
@@BryanDumaguina No only if the connector is removable with a plug.
There's always a possibility of a cold solder on a soldered connection, but never try and re-solder one of these types of ribbon cables,
unless you have a good heat adjustable soldering iron with a fine tip and good soldering experience, as the plastic ribbon will melt.
And never solder connections right on the contacts of the lcd panel, it will melt or crack it depending on if it's plastic or glass,
as there's a special process they use to attach it in the factory.

Yeah it sucks... we're the unlucky lot. I hope you find a supplier. It's an easy fix, once you find a replacement LCD.
@@BryanDumaguina just curious, does the h5 screen work in it? Can’t tell myself without buying one and trying, but really don’t want to waste time and money if someone else has tried it.
@@RockG.o.d That, I'm not sure. Just basing on photos, the ribbon cable is oriented differently. And it has some form of metal mount on the other end, it looks like it won't fit the H6.

You can try and look around forums. The French distributor for the parts has closed already unfortunately.
