I think a trully great dancer is the one who makes you believe the song was tailored for their moves, not the other way around. This is such an example.
What I love about Lia Kim’s choreographies is that she’s not just dancing, she’s interpreting the song in a fresh way. Her doll-like move during the lyric, “Now I’m smiling from the stage while you were clapping from the nosebleeds” adds such a powerful visual to the song’s meaning. This is true art.
Cheerful Mike she is literally the best dancer in the world. I have favourites in 1M, but without a doubt Lia is God of dance. She is perfect and so in sync with the music and creates unique and appealing choreography.

I watched this at least 10 times already! Lia kim is the only dancer that has ever moved me emotionally through dance!!!!! She has so much passion when she dances it brings tears to my eyes!!!!! Thank you lia kim for being such an inspiration in dance to so many people!!!!!!

Okay, but no one gonna talk about the videographer? He JUST knows when to zoom in and out. His skills and Lia’s facial expressions when she’s dancing? Whew! I. Am. In. Awe.
I have seen most (?) of Lia's videos, and so it just happens to be a comment on this one but I WOULD SWIM ACROSS OCEANS TO BE TAUGHT BY HER!?? She has such an unbelievable effortless presence that really encompasses this songs vibe, but also just always. Every part of her body was built to do this, her expressions, her eyes, her mind, senses, eye, even her ability to know her space so well she is rarely EVER off centre, even the way she communicates the essence of embodying a song (Dance Monkey video) rather than flexing on skill, and of course her phsyical body is just phenomenal. She's somehow a reed in the wind and flowing and bendy, and then so precise in the most minute movements and emphasis, I really can't handle how mezmerising she is and how her choreography embody each piece of music.
my favorite part is seeing people dancing along in the background. they just genuinely look like they're having a lot of fun and i think that's super cool and infectious :]
What a surprise, my favorite song, and an excellent dance to it. This is wonderful to watch over and over, especially when you love the song. When dancers choreograph the moves to the music, then that is "dancing to the music". I love to watch that back kick at 2:13 too.
I know not one thing about dance, I don't dance personally and don't follow the dance world closely, but I always come back to this video as a prime example of a choreographer who actually listened to the vibe of the song!!
