You know, thanks to this performance Noah Kahan is now one of my favorite singers. Recently i rediscovered him and realized i liked his music from way earlier than i thought, which is since i've seen this performance. Thank you guys. This is magnificent ❤
Anyone notice how at 0:57-1:02 when it says "surrender yourself," Kaycee's character has her hands behind her like she's being handcuffed/chained to her life, while Sean's character is embracing the world with his arms above his head? And that's the world of difference it is between that mindset of having confidence versus being so critical and having no hope. Such meaningful choreography!
I love how whenever I read the comments of a Kaycee and Sean duet, there’s never people comparing them and saying which on danced it better. That’s because when Sean and Kaycee dance, they dance as one. Nobody is even thinking about which one did it better because they dance to compliment each other and make each other look good as much as themselves. Also I’m so in love with this combo 😍
I hate when people compare the dancers. It’s like they all did better than I could ever. Why do we have to compare them they are all amazing in their own unique way.

I just can't stop watching this. I mean it, like seriously, the amount of time it took them to master each step. It's not just choreography but a story. Each of their steps voice a story, and I'm here for it ❤
They’re literally one person. The connection is the same. I’ve been dancer with my dance partner for my whole and we don’t even come close to this. It’s so stunning.

I seriously think that this is the best choreography that I have ever seen, the song, the meaning, the video. Thank you so much for doing this piece of art man.
Sometimes when I’m watching duets, I feel like I’m watching two individual dances. Sean and Kaycee, they give meaning to a duet. They tell a story, together. It’s amazing.
It’s been 4 years since I first watch this And I don’t know why today I suddenly want to watch this masterpiece again They really make the dance different
Litolic it miss some really good parts. Sean and Kaycee are such good dancers that I want to see every detail. And the camera work was ok but still needed some work.
You realize that if he zooms out you don't see the facial expressions up close as easily, and their emotions are literally what made this choreography so much better and "guide the story" as many of you are saying here. I thought the cameraman was pretty god on filming the "emotional story", but if you wanna see their feet movement, go look at other videos or practice their specific choreography in their rehearsals.
You guys need to refilm this again, the camera work was bad it was too close and we were not able to see much of the footwork it took away from this amazing piece i’m just glad i saw those moments on instagram from fans.
I say it over and over again. Sean Lew is a literal genius. He is other worldly and he is insanely young. You should not be able to have that much knowledge and soul at that age. His choreography is simply stunning and on another level. He is genius in that he can only compete with people decades older than him to put him against others his age is unfair to them. And then there is the element of these two together that can only be defined as magic. Sometimes it’s hard to believe they are two separate people because they just sort of blend into one person when they dance, it looks effortless (I know they practice insane amounts to get it that way) but even people who practice for weeks or months could not get these moves down. It’s like they just know how the other works. The beauty in their performances always brings me to tears
I love that he reused pattycake as a reoccurring move and theme of the piece. They play pattycake together at first, like they're friends, except kaycee is emotionless. He tries to reignite their friendship by trying to play patty cake with her again, but she refuses and turns away from him. She tries to push him out of her life. Later she realizes she misses him and tries to restart their friendship by playing pattycake with him, but she cant. He's turned away from her so she can only play pattycake on his back. he left her and he almost forgot her. But he comes back at the very end and helps her break out of her emotionless cage. The ACTING MAN. that's what makes this piece so good.
This is true to some degree but actually Sean represents her "confidence" if you know what I mean all according to the title of the song. So we can interpret it as the girl losing her confidence, a part of herself in life and her and the "confidence" dancing around trying to find each other again until one day.
I keep coming back to this masterpiece. They’re not just amazing dancers but they have the power to tell a story to make the audience feel the words and expression inside.
I have watched this like five times and I still wanna watch more honestly these two are gonna go far they are amazing especially together so much chemistry it just makes the dance so much better
Kaycee showing honest emotions feels so scary to me and it seems to me that sean always had that positive energy around her. Sean is truly a person that we all need in our life. This aura that this man has is so bright and strong i have goosebumps right now.
I love how in the beginning when the lyrics go “Don’t take yourself so seriously” Sean’s face expression changes with every word, such a small move but so well done
I love the choreo so much but the cameraman kind of missed some HUGE moments that I wouldn't be aware of if I haven't saw them on other people videos on ig.
I have the same feeling watching this as I did 3 years ago. This video is a masterpiece. The dancing , the acting and the story behind it. I fell in love with it 3 years ago and still love it till this day. Only Kaycee and Sean can dance this so good that it can make me happy and emotional at the same time. Just love this master piece

YES. my thoughts too:
Yeah, especially with their Without Me dance, the ability to do the dance blindfolded and still be in sync was magical
Jo
Yes he should be able literally wdym
I swear they knew each other and danced together in a past life had to 😁
I love how in those serious moments you can see them both trying not to smile ❤😊
they have some serious chemistry going on ngl
Xime Kawaii Buny couldn’t agree more
I want that type of friendship with a guy I’m sure it means a lot to you guys
Same
same
Friends? Bullshit. They have either dated each other or are dating 100% for sure. Feelings are there and then I don't mean friendship.
Summer&Abby ' it’s rare
Omg I was your 1000th liker
I love that he reused pattycake as a reoccurring move and theme of the piece. They play pattycake together at first, like they're friends, except kaycee is emotionless. He tries to reignite their friendship by trying to play patty cake with her again, but she refuses and turns away from him. She tries to push him out of her life. Later she realizes she misses him and tries to restart their friendship by playing pattycake with him, but she cant. He's turned away from her so she can only play pattycake on his back. he left her and he almost forgot her. But he comes back at the very end and helps her break out of her emotionless cage. The ACTING MAN. that's what makes this piece so good.
yes! i've been looking for a comment like this
Yes.

So many dancers can hit their marks and execute the moves but leave you cold......these two told a story in complete sync. Stunning!
Wish I could see this choreography in actual. I would pay just to see Sean and Kaycee. This is art.
I have watched this like five times and I still wanna watch more honestly these two are gonna go far they are amazing especially together so much chemistry it just makes the dance so much better
why the hell is nobody talking about kaycee´s facial expressions? she´s absolutly amazing... it´s like you can really feel her pain!!!
These dancers have personality and can dance better than anyone I’ve ever seen, I have watched this dance continually for inspiration
I love the choreo so much but the cameraman kind of missed some HUGE moments that I wouldn't be aware of if I haven't saw them on other people videos on ig.
Yup, that's what I thought!
Where did you find them ?
Regina Vélez exactly

I have the same feeling watching this as I did 3 years ago. This video is a masterpiece. The dancing , the acting and the story behind it. I fell in love with it 3 years ago and still love it till this day. Only Kaycee and Sean can dance this so good that it can make me happy and emotional at the same time. Just love this master piece

The level of synchronization between them is unbelievable 😍😩
They're better than 95% of dancers I've seen. It's unreal for their age. Crazy talented! Both of them
Zach Shannon let’s say 100%
