Hermes x Apple: Barenia Watch Strap & Cuff 1st Gen (2015) on Apple Watch Ultra 1 (2023)

At the time of this upload, this is the only Hermes barnia cuff strap for Apple watch video that I could find on TH-cam. I was wrong about the strap being used more than the cuff. No fold marks commonly found in used straps coiluld be found here. So this a 9 year old never work barenia strap and cuff.
THE STRAP & CUFF
The cuff strap was issued at the end of 2015 and created for a 42 mm Apple Watch Series 4. (I think at the time of this video, the latest Apple watch is series 9). At the time they were only available as a strap and watch bundle. They have since made the watch and strap available separately. This was sold preowned and strap / cuff only.
THE WATCH
My watch is an Ultra 1st generation from 2023 and 49 mm. This is my only Apple Watch for now. So I cannot make comparisons to other models. But at 7 mm bigger it seems to have fitted this cuff just fine.
SMALL WRIST & HAND
My glove size is 6 and my wrist is considered small at 15 cm circumference, and my fingers very short. I am wearing the smallest setting of the strap here.
I am about 164 cm (5'4'') high and about 60 kg (apprx 130 lbs). Not that this necessarily determine my wrist size. But I hope to give you a sense of proportion.
This cuff strap (and the 49 mm watch) doesn’t look overwhelming on me. At least not to me, and my personal style.
THE LEATHER
There is a white layer of powdery wax or solidified oil that became extracted from the leather as it shrunk as it dries up over the last 9 years. This will disappear as it liquify with the warmth of our skin and the heat of the sun, and became reabsorbed into the leather.
I usually recognise Barenia from the hand feel and the smell.
Barenia leather deserves its own video 🌷
So I am not focusing too much on that here.
