Thanks to you I bought the Hermès model. Your philosophies matched my own, so you tipped my bank card over the edge. I think it’s worth it, it’s the attention to detail you describe, this way it replaced my analog Swiss luxury watch as my everyday.
My wife had the series 2 Hermes and now the 5. I also have the regular Apple series 4 aluminum and a series 4 stainless. My black stainless series 4 was hers, and she bought a Hermes band for it. People buy the bands separately, because of the color choices. Previous Apple Hermes were limited to brown. The series 5 has a few nice color choices. My wife got the orange. Orange is a genuine Hermes color. The watch comes with two bands, one leather, one rubber. I call it rubber. Both are orange. She wears the watch daily, usually with the rubber band. I liked the look of the black, but she made the right choice. The pink/ orange face matches both bands perfectly and is an absolutely killer look for a lady.

What a great review. I just picked up a black SS one with a black Hermès band - and this really made me appreciate the band more. No deployment clasp though :( darn it!
I had the same model and the black edging is rubbing off on both sides where I pull to remove the Watch 🙁 I had it replaced and it did the same a month later. I believe I see the same issue with yours.

i have a series 4 hermes with deployment and just last week chafes the leather band for a new nylon band they just released .
i will only wear hermes bands .

When you own an iPhone 5s/6/6Plus it’s a worth of using it cause it supports the older iPhones but for latest models iPhone, it’s just a legendary collections to keep at. any bands that same sizes as the series 4 with 40-44mm should be fitted and even with SE also the same as long it has the same band sizes and display.
I live like 50m away from the Hermès main shop in downtown Paris and you sure did raise my attention on this watch... thanks for your feedback!
So helpful thank you. I wasn’t 100% sold. I definitely don’t want it for the “flex” I wanted it for the quality. The crappy $20 knock offs from Target just don’t cut it.

It’s funny because I have the green Apple Watch 7 and I get quite a lot of people ask “is that green” “ah nice” it’s the watch case I’m talking about but it’s a dark green imo nice none the less I just got a Hermes strap to show it off abit more but not really for that intent
My biggest issue is the Hermes bands all of them start to split on the edges of the leather within a years time. I wish they made the watch straps last more than one year of steady use. Otherwise I love how beautiful and soft they are. Also I would highly recommend for daily use, if you are ok with buying a new band each year. The watch faces are pretty amazing too…

I am eager to order my Hermes apple watch. I REALLY love the deployment band but am wondering if it would be possible to add a hole to the band to accommodate my smaller wrist? Thoughts?? I really appreciate your reviews.

I was wearing a cheap leather strap on my Apple Watch once at a H and M and the guy at check out was like “oh damn is that a Hermès?!?!” Lol. I plan to buy a real Hermès strap for my SE Apple Watch.

I bought Hermes band for husband and he really loves it.
I’ve had a Hermès band for 3 years and still looks like it did when I bought it. It’s the lighter brown/grey color. Forgot what it was called. But I’ve received many compliments on it. Just ordered the orange leather single strap - this will go on my series 4 aluminum. Thought of upgrading the watch but put the money into the strap instead. Nothing wrong with the watch.

Great job on the video and worth the wait. I share your sentiments. I think that when you put that beautifully worn band onto a new Watch, it will be gratifying in a way only us watch nerds understand. I skipped the 5 and at this point I may just wait for the 6. That said, if the 6 doesn’t offer any truly significant changes, I’ll by the then “old” Series 5 at a discount and spend the savings on an Hermes’ band.

When Apple Watch Series 4 was announced, my cellular carrier wouldn’t support eSIM on Apple Watch. Paying extra just for Hermès and not being able to use the LTE capability wasn’t really worth it for me, so I just got the aluminum version. In the meantime my carrier started supporting eSIM and now I can somehow justify getting the Hermès ⌚️ 😉

Your videos are really nice. They are pretty and your explanations are so objective.. you just explain subjectivity in some things.. but are objective everywhere else.

I just got my series 4 off eBay. LTE version for just 250 bucks. Love it. Ticks all the boxes for me.
I was considering this model mainly because I absolutely hate seeing scratches on my casing which has happened on the gold stainless steel I currently have. No issues with the screen just the micro scratches on the casing. I hoped that the PVD coating would be more durable but I've been disappointed with that. With the silver stainless steel, I was able to polish it out. I understand that the Hermès versions have a DLC coating, which I understand is stronger than PVD on the cheaper stainless steel models. How has it held up for you? Are there micro scratches on the Hermès casing as well? Looking forward to your answers. Thank you for being one of the few real life reviews on this!
The silver stainless steel Hermes is identical to the regular silver stainless steel. No special coating, micro scratches very easily. Now the space black might have some special coating, not too sure, but I am here to tell you the silver stainless steel doesn't.

Hey, have you seen the gold color band from Hermes? Its slightly lighter than fauve colorway. I was wondering would that develop a patina like this as well? Confused between the 2 colors, they look very similar in pictures.
There’s a slight difference in colour, but the biggest difference is the leather. Swift leather is a softer leather and Barenia is one of the original saddle leathers (also rare and generally more expensive). From what I’ve seen I think Barenia patinas the best.

@@viralchopra917 It’s still a leather so if I had to guess it would develop a patina, but Berenia is famous for it’s patina. I wish I had more information for you… I’m more familiar with the leather on their bags than watches. I’m thinking of getting the Space black double tour in swift leather.
I love the Hermes faces. That's the big selling point for me. But is it worth $500 just for those faces? Eh? I had the Watch Series 2 in Stainless for 3 years. It was beautiful but too heavy. It was always falling down on my wrist, so I went back to aluminum when I bought the Series 5. For the same price you can buy the Nike version with 3 sets of special faces, so that was a better value. The only other benefit I can see with Hermes is the warranty is better. That probably adds $100 of value. I've had the Series 5 for a year now and I've been happy with the reduced weight. I bought several knock-off Hermes bands for 1/10th the price of the real thing. (In fact 5 bands costs less than one real one). They work just fine (probably made on the same assembly line). So, at some point I may splurge and get a Hermes version, but for a product that quickly goes obsolete, it's truly a luxury purchase.

That face is exclusive to the Hermes Apple watches and comes loaded with those Watches.
Not Really Rocket Science yeah I did some research and it turns out you’re right, but I’m probably going to stick with my regular watch. Those are some very cool faces though

I've been wearing my series 3 stainless steel apple watch for 2 years. Refuse to update software, it works great! The updates are designed to slow down your watch... forcing you to buy a new one.
That is not true except for buggy watch OS6.
Agree with Emmy. My wife had the series 2 Hermes, but upgraded to the series 5 only because she wanted cellular. We have both had Apple watches since the first gen. The series 2 is still one of my favorite watches. The features on the new watches are just not worth upgrading. We are seniors, and the much publicized ECG function is a joke. It won’t give results if you are exercising, and your heart rate is over a 100.

Who would have thought that a leather strap would outlast a watch. That is the problem I have with the Apple Watch.

its a nice band , but if you thing about leather and asambly complicity , work force, band its overpriced, i can make you 100% crocodile / ostrich/ snake apple watch band with 100% hand stitch and vegetal taned leather on the back, custom size and holes also custom deployment clasp for 200 to 250$ depends on the order.
How big is your wrist?
My wrist size is 7,7 inches. At the 45 mm, in the penultimate hole of the leather bracelet. Late answer, but Hermes and arm circumference is something very special and rarely answered.
On Apple Watch ultra they fit. The band will still be working for a while. So do not buy the watch it’s waste. Buy only the band
