Awesome vid 👌 I've recently become interested in targeting carp through Melbourne's creeks over the eastern side here and have been scouting google maps and google earth for potential spots. I used to do a heap of work through the area where you are, often stopping along there for morning tea or lunch and have wondered about fish in there. Also love the bit about treating the fish with respect. Absolutely spot on, and thus far, you're the only youtuber I've seen mention this. I hunt and fish and whatever I catch/take it's paramount the animal I'd despatched as quickly and painlessly as possible. You've got my subscription 👍
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words! 🙏🏽 Always gotta treat nature with respect i've seen alot of people mistreat wildlife so I wanna use this platform as to educate people on better practises. Lucky for us we've got alot of spots in the south east side pretty much all of them have carp but you might find some natives aswell. Also i'm pretty sure I was freelining in this video but sometimes you'll see me use a running sinker rig.
@SinghFishing Cheers mate. It was good to finally find someone fishing our eastern creeks in places I recognise! I was field service on industrial equipment for a long time so know our eastern suburbs very well so it's great to watch your vids and know at least the area you're in. My eldest son (13) has been asking me to go fishing again for some time now and it's good to know there's fish in our creeks. Keep up the great vids. Seems to be soooooooo many big carp out there.
Let me tell you why I love your video's. It's because you’re so down-to-earth! It’s awesome how you take us along on your fishing adventures and share tips on where to go, what to use, and how to catch different fish. It’s super helpful to see you start with the basics, like catching carp in a creek. That kind of success gives a beginner the motivation to keep trying and hopefully land better quality fish someday! C'mon Shimano! Sponsor this guy!
Awww man that’s so sweet! Thank you so much for your kind words you don’t know how much I appreciate hearing that!🥲 One day when this channel grows bigger I want to use it to make a difference just like my idols did.
Ayeeee, Lets gooo!!! Been waiting for THIS! Nice carps mann. I completely agree that people should treat them with respect, they did not choose to be there. The video quality is getting better aswell! Keep up the good vids and hope to see more carp fishing!
Yooooo!! I was actually going to release this one in a few weeks but I remembered that you wanted to see one at the creek again so I quickly whipped it up haha! 100% agree native or not they definitely don’t deserve the hate.
I don’t know what it is but there’s something about it that always excites me when targeting them. Must be the memories of when I first started fishing it kinda brings me back.
@@SinghFishing Just made a new vid about worm farming. First time using worms last week and wanted to keep using them for future trips but they expensive! So i decided to make a worm farm 😅, hope you can give feedback!
Me and my mate pulled out 45 carp in 3 hours from our local housing estate wetlands in the northern suburbs, corn on an unweighted hook and some slack line...deadly
Thanks Nelson! It’s actually a really nice area. I remember years ago it was super over grown but now it’s pretty good. A lot safer than the rocky area hahaha!
Depending on what you want to target there’s many spots like Karkarook lake, Rowville lakes, ferntree gully quarry they’ll have trout in them. But you could try the creeks around here for carp Dandenong creek, Patterson river (freshwater), jells park, small ponds all hold carp, Redfin and eels. For saltwater Mordialloc and the Patterson River are great for Bream, snapper, salmon and mullet
Hey thank you so much for your support! If you are under 18 you don’t need one here in Victoria but if you aren’t exempt I’d recommend getting a license to avoid any trouble. Good luck hope you catch some fish!
hahaha i was just there last week, fished from the island and hooked one. Fought for a bit but he managed to get off the hook sadly, what time do you usually go and how long do you stay for?
It’s a nice spot I’d definitely go there again. Hopefully the next one that bites will be an even bigger one! I usually have the best luck in the mornings and afternoon but sometimes on my days off I sleep in or do chores lol. But they still bite in midday.
It’s right near the Dandenong bypass! I recommend parking near the factory closest to the river. Search Dandenong bypass on maps you’ll see where the bypass overlaps the river about 60ish meters down you find the island part. Hope that helps good luck there’s plenty of big carp there!
Carp is one of the most popular fish in the world to eat. Dandenong creek is a bit polluted but I’ve tried em in a clean waterway they are actually quite nice if prepared properly.
I reckon many people don’t prepare them well enough. I recently filleted one to use as bait and the meat was super white! It’s one of those fish that absorb the flavour of the seasoning which leaves a lot of opportunities for different dishes.
@@SinghFishing The funny thing is the British brought the fish here because they LOVED EATING THE CARP!! Now people here just think of them as a trash fish xd
Make we really need to catch up me and my good mate Muhammad who my met Dan at Dandy Creek we have found some of the most Prime fishing spots that I'm pretty sure nobody's been to or fished at all there was one spot along the creek I went to yesterday I caught fire fish in an hour and yes I have heaps of photographic evidence and I'm talking everything from Turtles Eels Blackfish redfin carp just the name of few
Thanks for treating the fish respectfully mate. Torturing a living animal because it is introduced (by us) is an ignorant, pathetic act. I've been close to punch-ons on jetties on Port Phillip for ensuring other fishermen treat banjos and puffers humanely before (it means more table fish for everyone). End of the day a real, intelligent man dispatches quickly or releases unharmed
I agree with you, some of the things I’ve seen people do to animals is just heartbreaking. It happens way too often makes you wonder if these people even have a heart.
We should do a collab bro😊 about 200 m down on the left-hand side passed the bridge I was there last night and pulled out 3 carp ranging from 62 cm up to 74 centimetres and we just caught one this afternoon my new PB 78 cm shoot me a message in the comments and we'll organise a small friendly fishing tournament and yes I also know where the redfern are hiding

Damn nice work your arms would’ve been dead after fighting so many carp! 😂 that’s a really good method of catching them.
yeah Shahil! can't wait for the next one!
Thank you so much Sammy!
Great video I've always seen carp jump around the island but have never tried there

Lol yh tru I almost fell in trying to net my fish off camera with the slippery mud and rocks haha
Be careful I know I’ve almost fallen into the river a few times hahaha
Keep it up mate this is some good content
Thank you so much Albert really appreciate it! 🙏🏽
Hey Singh, great to see this amazing channel growth. Keep it up!😊

I used to have one but I recently sold it maybe in the future I’ll get another one really enjoyed fishing on it though

Hahahhaah "that's a silver Carp" hahaha

@SinghFishing 2nd little dude has got us busy. That's for sure 😅
Congratulations on the little one man! Super happy for you!
yoooo if you catch carp in the south east ill buy it from ya ... thai's love carp

Carp is not a bad tasting fish as they think. In Europe they love em and I’ve eaten them before and tastes fine goes good

I reckon I’ll have to do a catch and cook again.
try hungarian fish soup with the carp!
One day will definitely have to try!
this guy clearly knows what's up! be sure to include the roe pouches in the soup if you eventually try it and have a female carp with roe on board
