Thank you for appending the older versions, with the original Celtic descant harmonies! And old instruments, like the viol, the small harp, the double-reed chanter, and the bodhran. Well done!
I was just about to go to bed have no idea why . Molly Malone popped in to my head . I remember it from when I was a young boy . I'm of Irish descent . It had to be Irish . I can't remember who sang the one I know from my childhood . I saw Sinead O,Connor has a version . I'm sure I've heard it before &I may have it in my collection . Sydney Australia 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘 29/11/2923
It was absolutely Wonderful to see you all play in person at the Enchanted Forest this season! All of Fae Productions visited the Enchanted Forest during our Shenanigans this September and I hope you liked our fairy coyne. This was the first song I learned as a youngster, for my Father was a Pirate and loved his songs of the sea!
Hi guys, thanks for this splendid video! Strangely, I have learned of this song from a comic book, and I was curious to hear it... Well done, indeed! Buy the way, could someone provide the lyrics, please? Greetings from Serbia!
In Dublin's fair city Where the girls are so pretty I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone As she wheeled her barrow Through streets broad and narrow Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh!" Alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh" She was a fishmonger And sure 'twas no wonder Just as her mother and father before And they wheeled their barrows Through streets broad and narrow Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh She died of a fever And sure no one could save her And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone But her ghost wheels her barrow Through streets broad and narrow Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Alive, alive, oh Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh
Awesome! We would love to hear your version. I did a quick search but couldn't find a link. If you have a link to any recording of yours for On We Go, it would be great to hear it!
Just listened to it. Really nice and I do love the counterpoint between banjo and guitar. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I love to hear everyone's take on such a great song.
We actually filmed this in December and it was about 30 degrees. Watch for the breath coming out of our mouths, especially Abby as Molly Malone when she is dead walking the streets toward the end. Fun times!
@@PossiblyIrish Yikes!! I can see it now, especially how the trees aren't covered in bright green leaves as they usually are this time of year. Despite the weather, it looks like you guys had a ton of fun!
You know it! We will be releasing a behind the scenes look at us making this video in the near future and you will see exactly that...having fun doing what we love.
Agreed. However it was lively while passing the message across. The dynamic used are top notched, each notes well arranged and carefully used. The counter point was a job well done for me 😮
Just beautiful. Molly Malone, gets to my heart every time.
Me too...I cannot get through this song without getting choked up. It always reminds me of my grandmother. :)
Nice song I love it and I sing this music in school for the Saint Patrick's day 😊
