I own a 86 944 turbo. These cars are notorious for slow draining the battery. It can be hard to track the problem down. Keep a trickle charger on it when its sitting in your garage for long periods of time. Hope that helps you.
Thanks Buddy, I actually bought one of those things you put one the battery terminal so I can actually turn off all power to the car by twisting it off, then when I wanna use the car I just pop the hood, go to the terminal and twist it on, it has actually worked pretty great, And you are very right, I have heard that these cars drain batteries like crazy.
Good luck bro,im sure you will get it going.check the radio wiring for any resistors,if you see one its a good chance they installed it because the radio was dimming the dome light or something and they might have used the wrong one.just a though.
If you're not getting any power or lights nothing. take your battery to Advance Auto or some parts store have them see if the battery is working or can keep a charge. If it can keep a charge and there are no dead cells then I would say the next step would be check all the normal fuses in your fuse box they're located next to the engine bay and they are with the fuse relays as well. Look for a fuse that is affiliated with the ignition or the DME and also the starter good luck.
Just an update. I just seen your prior video to this one and I do believe if you get rid of the stereo power wires that are connect it to the battery your problem could be solved. it could be draining it.
Mine is a 1985 I know the radio has been changed and it has a factory alarm I'm almost thinking it's along those lines has your radio also been changed and does yours have a factory alarm most of them have a little key hole behind the Driver door
@@seanwright3700 I do NOT think mine has an alarm, but my Dad took one look at all of the stuff attached to the battery and said that looks like the issue, I will look for a key place by the door when I am out there.
