F-Zero X had the best soundtrack out of all the games. An absolute beast! Synth with guitars is such an amazing combination!

I know why you are here, to listen to one of the best soundtracks of all time, but also because you are looking for that sound boost power that motivates you. F-Zero is the best racing game of all time.
I was actually coming here because a wonderful video game rom hack (Rockman 4 Minus Infinity) reminded me of this wonderful track. Listening to it now sounds oddly melancholic for me, not in a nostalgic way but it sounds oddly hopeless. I can agree with you on that last remark, nothing will ever top F-Zero in the racing genre.

I can see a violently vibrating F-Zero machine from the raw speed of this track in my head everytime i listen to this song
With dedicated speakers only for engine noise, located on the headrest (Sega did this with Indy 500)
i had big speakers when i heard the soundtrack for the 1st time it was a bangers and made you feel the speed while going anti gravity upside down
I remember at college people were trying to be my lap time chasing my ghost and one of them turned to me and asked me "did you explode?" I did, I did explode crossing the finish line. Because of Boosting so much I had zero energy coming round the last bend and clipped the wall causing my ship (White Cat) to explode as it crossed the finish line, no-one beat that lap time though!

This comment is old, but I want to say that as far as I know there haven't been any new f-zero after GX because they have no new ideas for it and don't want to do basically the same again.

This song's main melody could have been in Golden Sun and I would not have thought anything of it, haha. I know this came first, but the overall feel to it is very Golden Sun-ish. I'm surprised the same composer didn't do this song.

From what I remember, the track was called Silence because the creator couldn't sleep because the track used too be right over the surface of the planet. So he made this track high over the clouds so he could sleep in peace.
