Dream Chaser originates from F-Zero X as the new theme for the Silence track. As far as I'm aware, it's been the theme for Silence ever since.
This version is mostly influenced by the F-Zero Climax version of Dream Chaser, which features a few new parts and arranges the song structure, as well as being in a different key than the original (2 and a half steps higher). The solo from GP Legend is also included, which is actually the same as the original solo, just in that different key I mentioned. So, in a way, all 3 versions get some love here.
It's hard to go wrong with F-Zero. Someday I'll get to that Long Distance of Murder cover I've been wanting to do. xD

If that's actually you, I just want to tell you that Climax's soundtrack is incredible, and I absolutely love your work. Mist Flow and Illusion are both such amazing songs, and your arrangements of the older F-Zero songs were all so wonderfully clever and creative!

You're such a great composer to bad i don't hear people talk about you because the games you composed aren't really note worthy enough to talk about & i even see alot of review's that talk about wario master of disguise say that your soundtrack is medocure which i don't understand at all
Always loved the sad undertone of this song. Keeps the fast paced mood of the rest of the series, but still delivers a tear wrenching song. Almost as if the dream we are chasing, no matter how fast we go, is always just slightly out of reach. But maybe, if you just boost harder or corner faster, you might finally reach it.
This one always motivates me to push the machine to its limits more than any other song in the series. Incredible remix.

It's sad for me that the only two tracks known for non F-zero fans are Mute City and Big Blue when this masterpiece exists. If only F-zero was more popular :')
I played F-Zero on the SNES back in the '90s but for whatever reason I never played X or GX. I got a copy of both a few years ago and when I played through X and heard this song I immediately fell in love with it!
I had only known the original game and it's songs for so long and I wish I could have experienced this back in its prime!

Just saying. That's actually cheaters hacking to make the Golden Fox faster than it actually is.
Golden Fox has the slowest max speed in the game, and should not be winning drag races on straightaways with anyone.
Shoot, in the original FZERO, it's actually near impossible to beat Death Wind1 on Expert with the Golden Fox. I've only ever seen it done TASed, that's how bad it's stats are.
It's not the meta. It's just hacks in the car with the fastest acceleration, so it can take the best turns when you let go of the gas.@@VestedUTuber

Dream Chaser was probably my favorite track from F-Zero X. I started from there, and went straight to GX, but I've never played the original or the gameboy versions. I should finally get on that... They look super cool! Awesome cover as always!
If you don't mind mode 7 style, I'd say go for it! You can easily buy the original and GP Legends on the eShop. Climax wasn't released here, but you can import it and play it without fear of a language barrier since the game mostly in English.

I have an ancient playlist on my computer I use of various tunes I like. I forget when I started it. It migrated between computers along with my mp3 directory structure. Darn thing has grown by accretion to be over 1000 entries long by now. One of the first tracks on it is "Dream Chaser". Love the tune. The guitar, the keyboard, you do it justice.Apparently, the absolute first entry is apparently a remix of Ninja Gaiden 2's "The Parasprinter" (which is also darn awesome) called "Sprinting riffs".

This is the direction F-Zero should have taken after X, instead of that weird and way less awe-inspiring techno stuff from GX. This is literally the perfect sound for F-Zero's music in my opinion. Nailed it. A modern F-Zero with music of this quality would be a dream come true.
