You're wrong about Teenage Kix. It wasn't completely removed from the series. It was mentioned even in the first season that A-train and Popclaw were from Teenage Kix (and S4 mentioned that Sage was as well). The team was probably disbanded sometime after the original members moved on.
Don't have amazon and didn't find energy to torrent the series but what I've seen on clips online characters in the amazon series seems to have more dimensions. Homelander/black noir twist in comic was a letdown for me and felt rushed. Also I felt same rushed ending in Preacher comic by Garth Ennis. It had a solid start but then the story just dragged on went completely off the rails by the end. That's how I felt anyway. Same happened with the boys in my opinion.

You're wrong about Teenage Kix. It wasn't completely removed from the series. It was mentioned even in the first season that A-train and Popclaw were from Teenage Kix (and S4 mentioned that Sage was as well). The team was probably disbanded sometime after the original members moved on.
If I remember correctly Starlight mentioned that she was part of teenage kicks with Super Sonic or what ever his name was
teenage kicks is mentioned in season 4
So homelander is once son of soldier boy and bangs stormfront and then is son of stormfront and bangs soldier boy

Don't have amazon and didn't find energy to torrent the series but what I've seen on clips online characters in the amazon series seems to have more dimensions. Homelander/black noir twist in comic was a letdown for me and felt rushed.
Also I felt same rushed ending in Preacher comic by Garth Ennis. It had a solid start but then the story just dragged on went completely off the rails by the end. That's how I felt anyway. Same happened with the boys in my opinion.

Teenage kix does exist in the show and i believe A-Train was a part of them at one point bc he says something about them in season 4 when looking for more members
