    South Island of New Zealand so beautiful and spacious, so many shades of grey, green, black as in Trees & shadows passing through that over hanging foliage just amazing & gorgeous.

    Nice intro but I would like 2 also add that there is also alot of 4wd clubs in nz and u cant go wrong trying 2 contact 1 of them and ask 4 info and most of the clubs will be more than accommodating if u wanted 2 tag along on a club run just get out ther be tidy and look after what we've got and have fun.

      Thanks Rex, yes your right clubs are a great way to meet like minded people and explore our awesome country.
      Being a tidy kiwi is a must, anyone who thinks they can leave rubbish on the tracks should have their car taken away.

    With free huts in the South Island, is it 1st come, 1st served or you can book them? Thx, enjoy your channel 😊

    What a stunning country. I would love to be able to bring the 76 series across the ditch. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to hire.
    Do you have any links to 4wd hire companies?
    Thanks for sharing

      @4WDNewZealand  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Prado will get you to alot of amazing places. They are one of the more under rated 4WDs for sure

    Hey guys, what rims/tyres have you got on this Hilux?

  • @PatrickBellWebDev
    @PatrickBellWebDev 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey lads, pretty keen to try this track. I see you blasted through pretty easily on a basically stock Hilux. I'm running a stock 96 Surf - would it fair the same generally? I'd take some basic recovery gear but that track doesn't look all that serious.

      Hey mate, its all an how you drive. For the most part tire pressure is the secret. If you haven't yet get yourself an air compressor. If your not sure walk it first.And go and enjoy

    is this real 4x4 adventure?!

  • @willyd-adv
    @willyd-adv 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    From what I've so far seen living in NZ for the past 3 years NZ is the most restrictive and boring 4x4 country I've ever been too out of 64 country's.
    Gravel roads arnt 4x4 tracks. I sold my Lux and bought a Forester which easily did the tracks in this video. Shame as I was expecting way more from such an amazing country.

      Head up the Hopkins valley I think its called, some deep river crossings, up old man range is some good 4wding, lots of mud, can't go up in winter, simply too much snow.

    • @willyd-adv

      @@bumpy155 nice sounds good. I'll look into it right away, thank you

      Wills Overland Adventures great wee hut called red hut, apart from a few deep river crossing not much 4wding into it but great hunting if you get up in the hills. This is hopkins/Huxley can’t quite remember

      @chaquisa1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      agree .Sth island is boring for 4x4 ,but head up the North island and you will find your forester won't make it off the gravel LOL But buggar me dead mate you have done all your overlanding on a bloody bike FF's thats not 4 wheeling .
