Mickey Flanagan and Kevin Bridges are the best British stand ups going about currently. They say as it is and bring out some hilarious observations, like Kevin's house rice skit. Lee Evans would be the best, but he's sadly retired. But Mickey and Kevin are definitely the front runners for me

@@AfterWorkReactions adding to that, UK alcohol sales licenses are typically either "on license", where you can sell alcohol to people who can also then drink it "on" the premises (like a pub), or it will be "off license", where you can sell alcohol but it is illegal for customers to then drink it on the premises, making it an "off" license (like a local shop).

Guys can I just clarify that like myself Micky is from East London (what we call Cockney's).. The Only Way is Essex lot are NOT Londoners, Essex is a county outside of London but because we sound slightly similar in our accents, people that aren't from the UK often think that we're the same when we're absolutely not x

I used to think many of the UK accents were the same until I started watching all these different comedians and shows. I can clearly hear the difference now. I might not know where a particular person is from but I can tell they sound different.

I think that people in the UK see the Cockney East London accent in the same way some Americans see the New York Brooklyn accent - we're very similar - same working class immigrant dockyard backgrounds and posh people hate our accents hahaha

Re: the 'dickhead with a moped on a provisional' bit, over here you can apply to get your provisional driving licence a few months before your 16th birthday, allowing you to ride a moped up to 50cc in capacity on the proviso that you complete a days training (called a CBT- Certificate of Basic Training) this certificate lasts for 2 years, after which you can do another CBT course and start the 2 years all over again.
You must display an L plate on front and rear of the vehicle to signify that you are a 'learner' (basically that you have restrictions attached to your licence), you are also not allowed to carry a passenger or go on a motorway.
That same provisional licence allows you to start to drive a car from the day to turn 17 under the supervision of a person who has held a full licence for 3 years or more until you go for a theory test and then a practical test in order to get your full driving licence
