Something so wholesome about watching Americans actually understanding and laughing wholeheartedly at UK comedy. Gonna watch more of these vids 🙂 earned a subscriber.
Yep. As a Brit, I totally agree. So many Americans just dont get the humour, but these guys are great. Actually adds to the enjoyment of watching the clips.
I did an on site apprenticeship with my father as a formwork carpenter. I thought my parents had been call me by the wrong name up to the day I left school, as when working, everyone including my dad just called me “useless cunt”.
I must say your persistence to stick with british humor is impressive. A lot of americans wpupdnt persevere. Shows you have a broad mind! Fair play to ya.
Ta rar means goodbye in our Slang. He was saying that British women say how are you but add “ in yourself” which baffles men as it’s like they have a secret language. 😂😂😂
I love watching you two laughing about our "micky Flanagan" humour.. Was great watching you laughing so happy... Loved it... You're brave.. Our humour is quite different... But you "got him"... & understand... The out out tour is massive hit over here... Absolute awesome... You may want to try "Kevin bridges"... He's Scottish so there is an accent difference But wow... Wow wow... You'll love him... Great to bump into you two tonight... And see proper smiles Take care and kind regards Stay safe Wayne (London England)
My main reason for adding a comment is to say how much I love your reactions to British humour. You're a beautiful couple guys!! I adore how Taylor looks at Josh 😍❤ The look of love for her man. Absolutely adorable. I wish you happiness and good health my friends. It's great watching TV with you both 👍👌💯😊
You guys do this whole reaction thing REALLY well. I hope you do a lot more of these. As a Brit living in North America, I enjoy these on at least two levels: rediscovering funny shows/scenes from back home. And seeing happy people having a laugh.
Great watching you enjoying the Cockney humour. Most wouldn’t understand it. Respect to you and your wife. Mickey is hilarious. Seen him live 3 times. Stay safe and healthy over there 👍👍🇬🇧
If it hasn’t already been pointed out, ‘How are you in yourself?’ Is basically asking someone if they feel fit and healthy and are keeping well in body and mind.
Don't worry I'm from the North of England. Mikey's accent is intentiallt strong East London. The humour is brilliant. Enjoyed your vid. Following u from UK. x
He said 'you gotta take a run-up' if you want to go out on a Friday. Like a 'run up' to doing the long jump. You have to prepare. Not just do a standing jump. So, prepare earlier in the week. And 'how are you in yourself' is typically a British women's saying. It begs a response bigger than that from 'how are you?'. It goes deeper...like 'how are you actually feeling, deep down?' Like... emotionally... mental well-being etc. Love you two. You've been giving me things to smile about this past year. Today you educated me on Patrice O'Neal. Thank you 💜💚🖤
finally found something on TH-cam which doesn't annoy me! The is something priceless in watching your faces as you puzzle over our best comedians. The payback is when you suddenly "get it" and join the rest of us. It's a kind of "Gogglebox" (Google it!) for comedians. There is something really satisfying about seeing someone introduced to, and enjoying, a comedian or sketch that I know and love. Keep it up and keep exploring our bottomless well of comedy talent!!
Just subscribed... you guys are just the cutest couple. And I love that you love our British comedy so much. And also that you can actually understand us 😊
Sooo I found your channel at 1:50AM UK time... it’s now 3.53AM 😂😂 honestly can’t get enough of watching you guys! I love it earned yourself a loyal subscriber ☺️☺️☺️
This is so fun to watch, as Micky is from London and to watch Americans getting his humour is just great! Micky was a friend of my brother in law years ago and he’s the typical London geezer, what you see, is what you get! 😂✊🏼🇬🇧
Love your reactions, great that you are watching uk comics! Here in the uk if you ask 'how are you' it usually means in a physical sense, asking 'how are you in yourself?' is usually asking how you are mentally/emotionally.
Great video guys there's another part on the out out tour where he tells you what happened when he went out on a date with an American girl you should look for that part
The part you didn’t hear was Mickey saying to make sure he has permission to go out on a Saturday night - he needs ‘to take an long runner’, which in this glorious country means you have to play the long game and make sure New plan in advance which you rightly said 😛 Love you guys so much and to heart you laughing at Mickey made my morning xxxxx
what Mickey said was ' you gotta take a long run up'...its a term used in cricket about the bowler who does a short or long run before bowling the ball overarm
A favourite saying women say in the UK is " How are you? In yourself? " usually w hen another woman thinks something is wrong. That's what mickey was referring to. Love you two!
Another fine video, I luv Micky Flanagan. A suggestion for you watch Peter Kay " Guess who's dead ? Live at Bolton Albert Halls" he uses a lot of british especailly northern sayings, not sure if you will understand them all........
"Take a long run-up" is probably a cricket reference. Some bowlers bowl the ball from a shorter run, while others take a long run-up. So it's a longer, more deliberate way of achieving the same thing.
John Oliver was on Colbert's show and said he brought his little kid over to Britain. Was in London and the kid was saying "Hello!" To everyone and some 'extremely refreshed' character said, "He's a cheerful little c#@t, isn't he!" Oliver said was awkward as his kid was about four and repeats everything he hears! That word doesn't go down well in the US...
Check out his "and another fing" tour dvd very funny, saw micky at our local theatre here in northampton england and laughed from the first joke until the last.Brilliant comedian.
That's not the bit where he talks about dating an American girl, he was talking about relationships in the UK, what you need to look out for is the bit where he's taken an American girl out on a date and the confusion with his London accent. After the date has walking her home and asks if he can "come in her house" but in a London accent it comes out as "can I come in your ouse" which sounds like as. Look for it its hilarious....
He said if you want to go to the pub (you need to take a long run up) meaning test the waters early to see what chance you have got of her letting you go so start Monday to get her to let you out Friday
Told you he’s funny 👍🏻😂 East end British comedy at its finest 👍🏻🇬🇧😂 James acaster and Richard ayodye are another two guys u should watch both young... ones very smart the other has the driest sense of humor going lol
The part that you couldn’t understand, a woman asking another woman friend in front of her man, ‘ how are you in yourself?’ Basically it means ‘ how do you feel about yourself, are you ok with how your life is? ‘ the man has no idea what this means and just looks on blankly not knowing what the question was about? 😂😂
Something so wholesome about watching Americans actually understanding and laughing wholeheartedly at UK comedy. Gonna watch more of these vids 🙂 earned a subscriber.
Thanks so much !!
I absolutely love seeing Americans cracking up to British comedy that I like. It's like crack to me. If only they understood ALAN PARTRIDGE.
Yep. As a Brit, I totally agree. So many Americans just dont get the humour, but these guys are great. Actually adds to the enjoyment of watching the clips.
@@paula200 Another channel you might like is Devon Davinci, he seems to have a good grasp of British comedy.
Same here
We use the C word as a term of endearment. Usually accompanied with an appropriate adjective. It's a brit thing. 🤣🤣🤣
Is the C word CUNT
In Ireland too. "That Micky Flanagan lad, he's a funny cunt."
I did an on site apprenticeship with my father as a formwork carpenter. I thought my parents had been call me by the wrong name up to the day I left school, as when working, everyone including my dad just called me “useless cunt”.
@@quirkypurpleSCOTStoo!!
@@nico-lasty And where are we located mate? Britain, the island of Britain.
This is brutal comedy. I think we Brits are happy to really push the boundaries. We take the piss but are also self deprecating. Bloody hilarious.
Taylor’s face as soon as the jar lids were mentioned. Absolutely priceless
I must say your persistence to stick with british humor is impressive.
A lot of americans wpupdnt persevere.

“It’s nice to have another thing to worry about.” Great British sarcasm
I'm married to a Londoner and I get called Facking Cant all the time LMAO
Really starting to enjoy this channel, great to see Americans watching British comedy. Subscribed from the UK
You'll hear women say to each other "how are you in yourself?" Men will look at them like "we don't know what you're talking about"
Ta rar means goodbye in our Slang. He was saying that British women say how are you but add “ in yourself” which baffles men as it’s like they have a secret language. 😂😂😂
Your laugh makes it even funnier. You're one of my favourites on TH-cam. Keep going.

Britain's best and most consistent comedian.

So happy you enjoyed Micky Flanagan, my favourite comedian. He was born in the same area as my dad so all of his stories are honestly so relatable
You two are so cute. Your laugh has been the only thing getting me through this lockdown Josh!!
100% Lee Evan's, he will have you piss your pants with laughter
Micky pisses all over Lee Evans

Oh Micky Flanagan is comedy gold! So happy you watched
Good to see you both laughing, love Mickey ❤️
"how are you in yourself?" is the thing you didn't pick up.
It's a very old school English phrase for how are you feeling
@@annother3350, yeah, I know. I'm telling him what he did. I don't especially tailor it to England, but the whole of Britain.
Excellent thanks I was struggling brotha lol.
@@AfterWorkReactions, I've got your back. Have a good one.

Its a woman asking another woman
Are you well emotionally .
Not physically
Take a look at his, "can I come in your house" sketch and how it can cause trouble saying that in the US in a cockney accent.
Yeh I seen that one, that’s was hilarious🤣
Cockney Red
“...I won’t make a mess”

I love Mickey Flanagan my fellow cockney dont get many blokes like him now these days
i know you didn't get everything, but you did get most ,bless you for trying,
Micky is proper ‘old school, working class’. It is a dying breed to be honest. These people are the backbone of British humour.
2 years later and still my favourite reaction
He said that women ask "how are you in yourself" which is women's way of asking about feelings and shit
Alex Carey And shit. LMAO. My MAN right there 😂
Alex Carey what is women’s feelings? Never heard of it lad
