    Steve you have always been a hard worker and good explaining and showing how a back yard mechanic can do things. It don’t got to be pretty it’s just got to work. Your welder isn’t that bad and if your not welding everyday you don’t need a pro professional one. Keep up the content and keep the bucks rolling in so we have something to watch thanks

    I just found your channel and am seriously invested. I just have to ask, would you hesitate putting this lift solution on a daily driver? Obviously aftermarket lift kits are much more expensive than steel square/rect tubing and I’d love to minimize lift costs while also planning to add coilovers, upgrading sway bars, etc. I have a shop interested in helping out just to see the end result on my ‘09, so just curious if you would feel comfortable/if you would go this same route on a slightly more “valuable” starting vehicle. Love your stuff!

    If those blocks are 2 inches your probably closer to a 3inch lift because of the suspension geometry it’s not the same as with lift blocks for leaf springs. But hey who can complain about and extra inch

    Mount the winch right in the back of the subie. Then just pop the hatch and throw the cable to yer buddy who’s already standing in the mud. And I never get tired of hearing you say. “Let’s get some jack stands under it”. Which means let’s put a hydraulic jack under it and pump it right to the brink of falling over.

    Looks good Steve

  • @nurselittleskills
    @nurselittleskills 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's looking good, love the wheel color man.. strut spacers are not 1:1 lift to spacer height. A 2 inch strut spacer will give 3 or 4 inch's of lift. From camera it looks like the rear got about 4 inches of lift and the front got at least 2 but the car had a really steep rake before you started. I'm curious to see how that holds up wheeling. I bought a spacer lift for my tundra, lifted the front and it leveled out nicely so I didn't even put the rear lift on

  • @anthonysourdiff1835

    What if you put your winch mount in the trunk then just open the hatch when you need it. It won't mess with your departure angle then.

  • @robertallen1662
    @robertallen1662 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Halfway through the video watching the car teetering on that jack, Wow...just wow. Didnt you have a truck fall off the jackstands awhile back? Thought you would have learned your lesson then.
    Get a railroad tie and cut it into square blocks, that would probably be the most solid stable thing under the cars for that gravel driveway.

    Btw Steve you should do some tool reviews too. I've noticed you use the living shit out of that Milwaukee impact wrench and battery ratchet. I'm thinking of picking up the second gen Fuel impact wrench and it'd be great to hear about someone that uses these things day in and day out. It'd give you content and also help someone looking for an opinion on then, what you like, don't like, would like to see. Doesn't have to be comparative to other tools of the same type, but an in real world type of use.
