    Really happy I found your channel. I passed my CCNA in December but haven't labbed as much as I liked. Going to do a CCNA refresher then dive into ccnp encor. Keep up the great work

    Came across this video today. I'm currently working on the Encor. Love INE, but can't afford the $800 lump sum they want. Doing Pluralsight, Orhan Ergun videos. Of course Boson simulator, etc.

    Thanks for sharing your experience. Very helpful. I'm prepping to recertify from the old CCNP. I dread automation

      I feel your pain. The automation portion and SD-Access were both painful for me. So glad to have that over with until next time lol. Best of luck to you in your recertification. You got this!

    Great video. I am thinking about studying for my CCNP. I am hoping to just do one Network Simulator. Since you used all three, is there one that might be enough? Would Boson Netsim be enough or would I need one of those emulators that I think GNS3 and EVE are?

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Boson is great from emulation because they don’t require any additional images and comes with prebuilt labs. GNS3 and EVE-NG requires additional images that you must previously own. I recently passed my CCNP exam about a month ago and used both Boson and made my own labs in eve-ng. Honestly it’s tough to say because I feel like the labs I built helped me pass more however the boson labs provide a huge depth of material to learn so it’s really a tough decision. You could technically find images to build your own lab but most of those aren’t as stable.

    I get the same way about cbt ccnp. I started a little of it before feeling burnt out but I needed structure. I would like slide and classroom style so I can turn into flashcards.

    Thanks for sharing Chad and congrats! I'm about to take the ENCOR in 14 days, I'm using the Boson exam and NetSim for the first time. As far as practicing exam questions besides studying and really grasping the concepts, do you have any other recommendations on exam practice websites or you think the Boson with all of its built-in over 300 questions should suffice?

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bosons practice questions were pretty fair. I would say it lacked with SD-Access and would recommend you find alternatives to that in the form of white papers but don’t get supper deep into them. Good luck on your exam!

    • @ChadEmery

      It was an instant pass or fail for me but I have heard of others saying pending where they had to wait.

  • @lett1974

    Chad, Thank you for that information. I think I am going go with Boson since it is an all in one. With the video series, I know you had good things to say about INE. I have used CBT nuggets in the past. If you were to recommend just one for CCNP core exam 350-401, which one would you recommend?

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s tough. I really enjoyed the ENARSI. See my latest video on that. I went over the ENSLD stuff and found it to be “bland”.

      I’ve been a full time network engineer since 2018. So I would say a good bit although at work my focus is all over the place since I manage servers and a lot of other stuff. I’ll make a video soon about how I got started in IT that will go over this in full detail. Thanks for watching!

      Absolutely, anything is possible to those who believe. If you put in the time you will eventually pass. It’s a tough exam for sure but with the right effort you can do it. If you need anything or any help feel free to reach out.

    But i have a Question about another issue, how it is possible, only with 76 subscribes the video has a YoutuBe advertising?
    I knew for YoutuBe advertising needs 10000 subscribes.

    Will the 31 days before ccnp encor and cbt nuggets help me to pass the examination?

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While CBTnuggets was a huge part in my success it alone wouldn’t be enough. I can’t say for adding the book because I didn’t use that one particularly. I can say if you really crack down on it anything is possible. Have faith in your ability and get it done. Wishing you the best in your success!

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The book really hits the areas good except SDA and the automation sections. I’d definitely use INE for those.

    • @a.s.4916
      @a.s.4916 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks,@@ChadEmery I also realized that some other contents go lighter on the book as well. Not all the exams are the same and people have different experiences. Definitely, I have to go deeper not just trust the books. By the way, a lot of errors in the "Official Certification Book".

    • @ChadEmery
      @ChadEmery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried to look past the errors. The book still does a good job of leading you down the right path for the exam. The questions from the book are no where near practical in terms of the real exam.
