Great podcast. I wish there was more specific tactical stuff, like a role play, and Chris would talk and share more, while Jeremy would listen more. But overall good content.
It seems like Mr. Miner is trying too hard to align his strategy with Chris’s instead of letting things flow naturally. A straightforward interview would have been more valuable and effective.
Agreed. Miner seems more interested in making sure he forces Chris’ ideas into his own view. It seems Miner isn’t really listening to Chris and in just waiting to make his point on Chris’ content. Too bad. Edit: I don’t like or trust Miner. He’s trying too hard to show how smart he is and not following up with his guest. Look at me look at me look at me!!! Not following this guy.
@@danielreid3447First time watching, I got the same impression myself.. it was quite interesting to see the dynamics between the two of them. Well said 😅
Man! The mhmm, yea,ok,mmm, yea,ok between everything he says is RAWAWWWWR..drives me nuts. Dude every now and then is cool but every other word. Gonna watch him on the iced coffee one.
I love Jeremy and get great value from what he teaches… but does anyone else get the sense that he’s trying too hard here to ask contrived questions, which he then abruptly interjects to try and link his methodology to Chris’ expertise rather than actually ask genuine questions and have a conversation. Kinda of the opposite of what he teaches
I see how you feel that way and maybe he did TRY to link his methods with Voss but I’ve studied both of their methodologies and they ARE interlinked. Empathy Tone giving a sense of autonomy word smithing open ended questions etc same shizz..
42:42 into the video. The life insurance example "my aunt just died" Somewhere in the beginning I was hoping you'd ask Chriss a few more questions on objections being a product of fear. But you didn't really get into that. You almost already had your next question and didn't get into what he was about to say
Helping me remember the basics in my sometimes overly complex mind: ❤ We are essentially Humans talking to other Humans ❤ 👂 Be empathetic & disarming, listening to where they’re coming from. 🗣️Repeat it back to them. 👄 Practice & keep learning. Enjoy life !
Jeremy will probably never read this. But if he does. Please have an episode with Jordan Belfort. Don’t care what we need to do to make this happen, but it has to.
Mr Jerry, just let him talk. When women talk, they have to constantly affirm each other with the interrupting with yes, no or, whatever else while the other person is talking. When men talk it's more turn based, I say something you say something and so on. The interrupting to affirm each other comes off more as a distraction
Watching Jeremy in this recent interview felt like an unexpected trip to the shallow end of the talent pool. As the old saying goes, *"When the tide goes out, you see who’s swimming naked."* And boy, did Jeremy look underdressed for a conversation with someone as commanding as Chris Voss. Jeremy came off as a light-class actor trying to hold his own in a heavyweight interview. He seemed out of sync, almost threatened, as if Chris were a competitor from across the pond stealing his thunder. Instead of leaning into the conversation, Jeremy interrupted Chris repeatedly, often for no discernible reason-almost as if he was grasping for a way to stay relevant in the moment. What stood out most, though, was Jeremy’s inability to genuinely connect. His mannerisms felt overly rehearsed, his approach shallow, and his method downright contrived. Where Chris exudes authenticity and mastery, Jeremy seemed like an amateur auditioning for a role he wasn't quite ready to play. It’s tough to take someone seriously when their “method” feels more like manipulation than mastery. Perhaps Jeremy should focus less on his airtime and more on learning how to engage in meaningful dialogue-until then, he’ll remain an understudy in a room full of leading men.
Think I'm gonna love this vid!! I love when Sales/Marketing Guru's interview other Guru's MORE OF THIS PLEASE! How about Jordan Belfort I think you two might differ QUITE a bit :D still wanna see it
Hi, guys in 7th Level. I didn’t see the subtitle for this podcast. English is not my first language, so I have some trouble listening and understanding this episode without subtitles. I noticed that all your other podcasts have subtitles generated automatically by TH-cam. Did you make any specific settings so that TH-cam couldn't automatically generate subtitles for this episode? Thank you for your valuable content, which is really helpful.
With regards to foreign policy, the point stands, in general, about letting the other person "keep their job" as a basis for getting to the negotiating table. But it's false to say that Israel hasn't been given the opportunity to "keep their job" by their opponents. In fact it's much closer to the opposite.
This interview was obnoxious. This guys ego just can’t help but try to fill the room. Dude it’s not about you. He could learn a lot from Chris if he would listen instead trying to show how smart he is.
jeremy is unbelievably defensive!! yet he talks about sales resistance... I have never seen anyone trigger so much sales resistance as jeremy himself!!

Jeremy, We know you’re good at what you do, however, when you have a guest as strong as Chris Voss, you should try to listen and learn instead of trying to talk over him. A mentor of mine one time asked me - “Do you know the toughest part about growth? I replied - I’m not sure? He said- “The toughest part about growing is when you’re the one that needs it! Hope you’re big enough to take the feedback and grow from it… Lol

Good God Jeremy, you have this awesome opportunity with this gold mine of a guy and you’re trying to sell your product and brag about your level of knowledge…how disrespectful and disgusting
Should the interviewer speak much lesser? No offence. If interviewer wants to speak much more, listener will surely listen to your speech or podcasts. But if there is a guest, probably not a bad idea to let the guest speaks much more. Otherwise, I ll be thinking the real purpose of the interview 😅
Definitely dont like or trust Obama. But Definitely like and would trust President Trump. Im glad that people are starting to not be afraid about voicing their support of the Don.
