I absolutely am ready!! I like how you said, “They do know what they are supposed to do.” Yes! They totally know when to turn it on and off. With their victims, they drop their pants, but with people that don’t brook their nonsense, or whom they admire and respect (usually bigger, meaner narcissists), suddenly they KNOW how to behave. That’s what makes them so nasty.
They know how to do good, but they consistently choose to do evil.

I've been done with the relationship for a long time he would not leave for nothing , it started getting better when I started watching videos on the narrssisstic person . He was making me feel like killing myself was the only way out the relationship . I even had him listen to them with me, he was violently angry at the Dr.speaking about the narrssisstic person. I'm ready...I was stuck for awhile in the web of confusion, guilt and pity for him. Then I read a post that said even when the narcissist is nice it's abuse because the niceness is manipulation. That was profound for me, because for some reason I kept falling for his kindness & victim act. You have no idea how much your videos have motivated and educated me. Your strength made me stronger...I filed for divorce last week. I have so much respect for what you are doing ... thank you... Pam
It is called future faking every time you're going to leave they promise you the world and then they make you pay for threatening to leave and if you ever do leave and come back then they will make you pay double for leaving in the first place they put you on an emotional roller coaster that leaves you exhausted all the time so that you cannot think clearly by the way leave and don't look back because narcissism only gets worse in time they're delusion their paranoia starts to get worse as old age set in they become extremely violent and aggressive and abusive I know this first-hand it will never get better you will never fix this leave run don't look back

How can you fight back against someone who’s willing to torch your world and sacrifice everything??? Some people just can’t be satisfied and want to see the world burn
It’s super hard but if you can’t go “No contact” with them. Ignore them as much as possible. Don’t let them manipulate you. Do not help them with anything. Even when they have the most sad story as why they need you to do things for them.
Create strong and healthy boundaries, it takes a lot of time, but after a while they will give up. Because you’re not giving them what they want.
I realize that on a bad day a narc feels bad and on a good day a narc feels nothing. Hollow bunny.

Took me 24 years to realize it wasn’t my inadequacies but his narcissism and it all made sense. He was raised by a narcissist. My job is to make sure our 4 kids do not become narcissist too. So difficult to personally comeback from. After 1.5 years separated I’m finally starting the divorce process. So glad I found this support! Looking forward learning more!
It’s true, they are sooo fragile and superficial! They are amazing actors. Sadly my ex couldn’t contain himself enough to keep our 30 year marriage together w/3 children. He’s the one that couldn’t cope with life’s inevitable ups and downs. He’s implementing parental alienation with the 2 kids he aligned to go with him. He thinks he’s punishing me, but he’s really punishing the whole family-there are no winners!

Narc don't self assess as we do, what a Narc calls self-assessment is really self-aggrandizement
no real challenge to be a real empathetic person is possible
Narc's don't want to find themselves doing anything for anyone emotionally, they fear to put their heart on the table of life and they don't trust us to love them.
in this respect, they're lost, people.
That means u could have the disorder but if u being truly honest with yourself u might recognize that's u to.

I live in a rural place in the countryside. When my narc parents came to visit they just couldn't understand why I'd want to live here. I love nature, horse riding, skiing, hiking, swimming, gardening, etc, I love where I live. But now I understand to them, living alone in solitude without endless supply of other people would be torture. I don't need anyone, they do! I'm content staying home alone doing my own thing, I'm an artist and creative person. They are not! They can't be alone, they are never creative, they don't appreciate nature, they would never choose a life of solitude. This is helpful to know because you can identify these sick people from healthy ones.
I'm ready because I cannot handle his abuse any longer. I am in my own place, but it hasn't stopped. If not for the pandemic I could run, instead of being a sitting duck. Thirty-five years with him, since sixteen has just about destroyed me. It feels like death is the only way to escape. He came from a very violent alcoholic home, but he constantly tells me I'm mentally ill, this that and the other. He told my sister he could get rid of a dead body so no one could find it.

I worked for one for 8 1/2 years and it was brutal , When I finally stood up to him he was actually scared of me . The funny thing is I didn’t want to get revenge I just wanted a barrier, I wound up leaving and my work has improved and found out I’m actually pretty good at my job
I had a boss like that to the most abusive boss I ever had in my life I finally quit and I came back with a raise and a bonus and his apology yes the abuse continued but he realized he's not going to find anyone who's going to put up with him let alone do the work also

I remember in the late nineties after I had left my wife...I have was visiting folks and explaining my feelings about transitioning from marriage to being single again. My mother cut me off and was like...' what about MY feelings...' She couldn't even allow me a simple expression of what I was experiencing. She was more important!

Thank you! I have often wondered if it is me as well as my partner who is the narcissist .. I'm aware that some of my thoughts and actions are traits which fall into that category and knowing this has helped me try to catch myself before I speak or allow the thought to progress. Your video explains perfectly that I'm not the hypocrite I sometimes view myself as. My partner (of more than 30 years) is most definitely a narcissist and despite my best efforts (with regard the children) to deal with these toxic ideas, my son (37) has now followed in his fathers footsteps. Interestingly he approached me when he was in his early twenties about concerns that he found himself losing control (temper) and treating people badly (manipulating) .. he told me 'I don't want to be that person mum' ... I am baffled because I thought there was hope for him but in some aspects he is worse than his father.

Oh is that how covert narcs are made? I was wondering....The covert narc in my life (not a partner, but an ex "friend") had a parent who was high up in the military and I am sure they learnt their bullying, manipulative, power hungry (but not accountable) behaviour from them....

My boyfriend told me his parents beat him and he was bullied by neighborhood kids and at school when he was a kid. Said if he failed a test or got a low grade, he would get the shit beat out of him by one or both parents. It is so sad anyone could do this to their child. But he refuses to get any help. I had to walk away. He is obsessive compulsive to say the least. He emotionally abuses, gaslights, love bombs, tries to put guilt trips on me and other family members of his, he punishes with silence, wont talk or call for days, weeks etc. Then calls and acts lie nothing happens. Makes plans and then is a no show. he tried to exploit me which caused a blowout argument between us. He also used sex to punish me by stopping in the middle of intercourse and leaving, that really bewildered me. He yells alot, tries to manipulate and is the most controlling person I've ever known. He tried to exploit me and I refused, which caused a blowout argument. He tried to get me to engage in an illegal activity with him which I also refused. He has major issues with trust & cheats, but I better not cheat on him. I didn't know what a narcissist was prior to this.

What a roller coaster ride. I have recently broken it off after catching him cheating. He tried to deny it and make me feel like I did something wrong.

I cab NEVER BE RID OF THEM as soon as I get one out of my life, I pick up two more of then. coworkers, neighbors, family members ect. I truly am a human magnet. No I'm not a narcissphobe...the enemy uses them to attack my soul. At least I have did my home work, but it's like battling the enemy on the front lines. Exhausting!

The first thing you need to do is....watch out for ANY lies. even one! They are all pathological liars (but not all liars are narcissists, so keep that in mind too) and can't help themselves, they will tell lie after lie. So check the facts and if you find out they are lying then be VERY attentive to their behaviour. If they start to belittle other people or tell stories about them, don't believe them until you have checked the facts.

Might be helpful to have a presentation on narcissistic behavior as it relates to consumer issues (harassment, sales intimidation, financial exploitation, etc.) and the proper response to it. These relationships are often short-term, but they can still be damaging.

The narcissist who was in my life expected me to get in other people's faces when they offended her. Hearing an "I'm sorry..." was never good enough.
I didn't know what to say to most of the people who she decided to be offended by.
I felt like I wasn't paying attention enough to what was happening to her.

As many know, too, most Narcissists don't acknowledge the authority or qualifications of therapists, and don't go to therapy, so... that means probably a good part of those who are actually NPD qualifiers have never been diagnosed or treated, so...that's a lot. My own feeling is it can be closer to 1/3 of the human population has some unhealthy degree of narcissism, but that's my own feeling.
