    Decent set up mate. My tuned 07 3.2L is going strong at 340k with very few issues, mostly just general maintenance. The only major tear down I've done is clean the manifold, and it now runs a catch can. I've set up a 1400mm tray with 1200mm canopy, one spare and two jerry cans on the back. 265/75r16s and 2 inch lift. TJM bullbar and jaycar 7 inch spotties. I live rural and spend a bit of time hunting in the state forest. It takes me everywhere I want to go. I've also got a 70kg roof top tent, 300w solar panel, couple of awnings and based on my average fuel consumption I'm getting roughly 580km out of a 75L tank. Overall really happy with my triton.

    Still got mine 3 years on and still going strong. Certainly not the best Ute around but still very good for what it is and it’s cost.

    Had a MN for a while now. went 265/70r16 on the stock steelies and it was good. Had the rear leafs collapse so went WCS 2 inch lift with their tailshaft spacer. fresh unis. uprated clutch as it was worn out. 1.8x1.8 sweep off tray with canvas canopy. Ironman roo bar with some bash plates as id nailed the oem bit of tin. light bar. 3 inch redback exhaust as the stock one fell in half. Uniden 2 way and in cab rollbar. Great 4wd, can do great trails in 2wd and in 4wd low its unreal. Been a great first 4wd for the family.

    Definitely recommend a tune. I had a mn out 150k on it in 2 years with a tune. Huge difference. Have done the same with my current mq with 165k on it.

    Great video and excellent ideas. I borrowed an ML this year to trek around the edge of the Simpson. I was so impressed I just bought myself a low K MN. It's bog standard, perfect blank canvas. I can't wait to get started and your tips are very handy.

    great video Jason ...... in regards to spotlights, my example i use is this, Jason from All 4 Adventure with ALL the money that goes into the A4A rigs uses BCF xtm lights, in one of his videos he said something like "the xtm lights do everything the expensive brands do but without the cost, your $2000 lights aren't $1700 better than my $300 xtm lights" anyway see ya on wednesday night bud ....

      +1 for those XTM lights I've been running them on my cruiser for a few years now and they are surprisingly good.

    A really excellent video. Looks to be a well sorted of vehicle. I agree with your choice of 4WD too. I have a 2017 Dual cab Triton and a 2019 Pajero Sport. They are both excellent. In subbed!

      Did you have to change the top control arms? I spoke to fulcrum suspension and it's $1700 for the suspension and another $825 for top control arms so they droop more and clear the springs with a bigger opening Did you do that too?
      Also, what load rating for the rear did you get for the rear? Because I've got a alloy tray and not much weight on the back, they advised to get the 150kg rears leafs and springs and get the blowup suspension bags to catee for any heavier weight when I need it. She said 350kg load would be a terrible ride day to day.
      So that's $3100 not including installation.
      Bloody expensive.
      Any insight you can give me?

      @cam131313cam 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AHPOutdoors i didnt have to touch the control arms. I did get extended brake lines but not necessarily needed. I went with 300kg constant load in the rear (i have a tub with drawers) and if im not fully loaded it can get a bit rough. When i say i got a 2 inch lift i did have them tweak the springs a bit to give me 5-10mm less just for legality reasons. I'd highly recommend having a chat with them, they have awesome customer service. The used to offer a discount for "new triton" forum members but i not sure if that's still the go. Seems theyve changed their website since i did mine, cant find what exactly i got.

    I wish to get a Triton, 2 door drop side auto. However I haven't won lotto. From what I have read and seen the tests it wins in most catargories. ( spelling)

    Also have triton and my KO2s are just coming up to 100k including trips through VHC, SA, NT and WA still plenty of tread above tread markers, never had a puncture, you might be a bit confused with tyre sizing, the first dimension is width not height. Only thing I don't like with KOs is they can be a bit slippery on wet bitumen, considering Maxxis razr TA next. Good vid, cheers

    Great rig, I have one too but much more factory. Solar panel is a good idea. With your bull bar fitted, surprised not to see a winch. I had been holding back on the winch due to the requirement to have a bull bar i.e. its 5K all up - winch and bull bar. I suppose if you are always with someone you could use a snatch strap.

    Pop a roof light spottie in, heaps of rear lights,
    Hydraulic crane,
    Sufficient water tank and rear winch and you’ll have a good hunting rig

    Modern turbo diesel donot like big diameter driving lights . Earlier Tritons, Isuzu and others have had documented engine issues .

    • @AHPOutdoors
      @AHPOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@flacky93 Not really mate. I might. I did cut the shelf out in the canopy so I could fit the fridge in. Might get a steel Engel down the track. I'll need some new Tyres soon. I think the 2 inch lift is the first priority at this stage so there is no bottoming out on the mudguard and cross member.
      Any things you think I should do? Tips?

      If your going 2" lift mate look into outback amour or the old man emu bp-51 for smooth ride i have the old man emu nitro chargers in mine as there brilliant great ride had one replaced as it leaked fron left one soo ended up getting them both replaced
      Maybe if your keen look into
      Safari snorkel
      Arb scrub bars and steps
      Steinbuer power chip module for more power
      Bash plates and recovery points for them more serious trips 😃
      Fridge slide

    I recently bought a 2013 MN Triton mid this year and I've been wanting a bullbar and seeing yours and tell us you're still on factory suspension is relieving cause I wasn't 100% if I need a lift or suspension upgrade for the ute and see yours and you haven't mention any issues just helps and also is it possible to get another update of your ute for the past 3 years?

    I bet you're using more fuel with the bigger tyres too.

    • @AHPOutdoors
      @AHPOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah man. About 550-570km standard tank. It was way worse when I had the bigger full sized canopy. It was like 515km when the fuel light comes on.
      That's another reason why I went a smaller canopy as it was a huge wind catcher.

      @AHP Outdoors I have a Triton MN GLX-R and I have gave Dobinson suspension a call and was quoted $4600 for a 2-inch lift which includes UCA and labour.

    • @AHPOutdoors
      @AHPOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sticksnstones5407 Thanks for the heads up. Apparently the UCA is mandatory. But some don't do it and it causes premature wear.

    • @sticksnstones5407
      @sticksnstones5407 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AHP Outdoors with the UCA it adjust camber so the tyres don't wear out.
      Also I was at ARB today and got a quote for a 1 inch lift which doesn't require UCA and the price for that is $3487. Either way it's an expensive mod to do.

      @@AHPOutdoors WCS was like $1300 with assembled struts, did it at home in an arvo and took it 200kms for a wheel alignment at the local shop. if you get heavier rear leafs rather than stock you may need longer brake lines but the kit I used has been sweet for the last 60k
