- HELLO! sorry i have been away for a while. thought id update this map more for hardware compatibility. also used OG Hyrule field models for building scale/structures. textures have been updated BUT HAVE SOME ISSUES. all will be fixed later on. i had to drastically reduce polygons everywhere and changed the layout again slightly. my aim is to leave this map alone and move on, but i cant help myself, the final version will probably look drastically different to this!

yeah, BotW-esque even. at least it gave me the same vibe as the game's main theme song what with its asian sounding instruments that were mixed in. quite lovely!

Thanks for the complement! I have an amazing Composer who creates perfect tracks for the scenes I’ve made. I’ll post more when I can! I have a large Buddha statue with an original theme which took months to create, inspired by skyward sword. I’ll try to post more of it next. :)
Throw in some grass actors some rocks and random enemies and this field is 10/10
The texture glitch on 0:30 is an easy fix. The texture deforms when it has to repeated over 32 times. To fix subdivide the face into two or scale the texture so it don't reach that limit. All looking great, keep up the good work.

This was randomly suggested to me but I'm glad it was! Really well done, the textures and atmosphere are great and for a second, I even forgot this is N64. The tree at 0:22 initially looked like a water-color-style asset from Skyward Sword. That's so cool! And of course, as others mentioned, the music is great too. This feels legit!
Taking inspiration from The woods in Skyward Sword :) the high vibrant colours are so nice to look at, I have used SS as an inspiration with newer scenes also :)

Honestly, even the bandicam tag on the top of the video gives it a feel of « leaked modded » thing, idk it's weird. It helps in feeling like it's a decade old video lol

thanks to youtube recommending one of your videos suddenly, ive been looking back and what you've uploaded this past year and dang man thats some fine work you've been doing. i hope you dont give up on this project because ive seen far too many RECENT promising OoT romhacks come and go, but in the end you are free to do as you wish.
that aside, the skybox has been turned into a very nice sky dome with an animated cloud layer and you even have swaying for the smaller trees. you mention hardware compatibility, but can stuff like those even work on actual hardware?
im not exactly fluent on the possibilities with N64 Zelda romhacking, much less what it takes to make it compatible with actual hardware. though i much appreciate anybody who goes through making the latter possible even if it is a novelty.
the most i have seen for "new tech" working on actual hardware has pretty much come off as somewhat recycled data usage.
either that or Kaze Emanuar is indeed a wizard with N64 coding(for 2 games. lol.)

I love this, it feels very far eastern inspired and seeing that in Ocarina which was very European inspired makes this feel like an alternate universe.

Hey Ultra, sorry for commenting on this video again just to ask more questions, but can you tell us how the development of the 3rd Quest project is currently?
I hope it’s fine for me to say all this, it’s 4am at the time of typing.
When Going through the 3Q trailers in yearly order, you can see they’re showing different workflow maps- changes to the designs of characters, different music, textures etc and map layouts. this happens. Assets come and go and permission to use stuff is also based on ex-contributors. It’s safe for me to say that putting public released 3Q footage and 3Q screenshots together in order of release, the world has been redesigned a few times- improved in its own way heaps. I guess you could say DHF is what 3Q was supposed to be. Still a perfect game mind you. Please check out the current status of DHF.
I’m not going to state fully what has changed, but these changes are due to members coming and going. DHF has a lot of these previous maps, made by Holonspire and E-gor. You can find some artwork on Holonspire.wordpress

Nice work, your work deserves more insight from the Zelda community, just a suggestion, I think Field would be prettier if they had a house with a plantation on the side, simulating a small farm, I remember in the first video showing an old version on that map there were several houses across the countryside, but I think just one would make it prettier.
I liked the idea of scattered houses in the field but given it was the main sorta landscape, I thought I’d reserve those ideas for a town scene that was kinda more open :)

Thankyou! This scene has been updated, larger layout but same mountain and town position. Now with less tris but more texture detail making it hardware compatible. I did showcase some work in the Hylian Modding discord server. I’ll post a video update soon 😁

I know people have made mods that are playable, but I honestly would love to see a fully fledged game made like MM or OOT using the same engine. Either a fan made sequel or an independent journey. I would seriously love to play what the community has created!
Making a specialised template at the moment which helps those wanting to mod the game easier. With meshes you can use as a base, that’ll help with the design of scenes. Something really beautiful and playable is always a must. I focus heavily on detail because I prefer quality over quantity, that’s why I haven’t released anything. Want to make sure it’s perfect enough for players :)

I'm considering using Zelda engine for mrw game mod.
But i would need to unlock framerate, as i would use smaller areas (with characters total max 1500 polys) with highest texture detail and barely special effects. If day of time would needs to be locked then, i'm willing to do so also. But i know my concept can run 60fps on N64.
So, does this utility allow unlock framerate? Or what should i do?
Please reply. It would not be Zelda game, but use the engine.

I don’t understand Spanish, sorry. The mod will release when it’s done. Showing early progress just spoils the new styles I’ve made and people copy that, so for a while I won’t show development progress until majority is finished.

I’m highkey obsessed that you pulled off that giant tree in these graphics better than Nintendo has ever modeled any actual tree in ANY of their games, they all look like wooden cutouts to me 😂 this is SO amazing! You did a fantastic job with the music too, really leveraged all the awesome sound fonts from that era

Depends if I get help, not many want to help me with it. Demo probably would be nice to do, I have a lot of work to showcase, just haven’t been able to utilise all of my work with my limited time. If that makes sense. It’s just me doing everything other than music

@@jupiterblue3227 yeah, have considered that. My only issue is trust, I’ve entrusted my work with someone in the past and found them re-using my maps and changing layouts etc without consulting me. I have a few helpers, but most of their time has been out to 3Q development.

when you do this, are there any issues with in-game things, like, the bunny hood guy or the poe paths?
I’ll have to test that out, the new field layout is quite populated with walls etc like a valley now. Bunny hood guy can have a new path drawn up, and I think the Poe sisters can be altered :)

I intend on uploading the tracks I have so far, I was going to celebrate reaching 300 subscribers but I’ll put that video off when I reach a reasonable amount. I have plans to show off the woods, town and field :)

I wish Nintendo was smart enough to understand that there’s a market for people who literally just want ocarina of time content. I’d gladly pay $20 every year for a new game using the ocarina of time engine.
I’ve made so many mini scenes that would be so awesome for other people to explore. Some days I just create environments with little stories. Perhaps that would be a cool thing to release instead of waiting for just an initial release of a mod.

i can help you satisfy on this project and at some point releasing it will sure be the option okay the ways:you ask me for maps character story and music ideas 1 idea for now farmland:a field with cubic shaped objects which are wheat farmside:a small lake with an octorok whale island:an island with a maze with a song to learn there with civilization it includes bokooblin castle and giant mushrooms a dead tree in the field some cherry trees in the field mushrooms in the field flowers in the field bushes in the field even giant mushrooms dodongos having 4 legs great guay(twilight princess style)deku bats turfos crocfos carbolas(snake crocodile with wings with kinda long fire breath)big boxeshaving skull drawn on them a lake with a loon a swan and a giant seahorse which needs a lullaby to call near the bridge and with hookshot you have to climb it to reach whale's island through the vortex which push you back and the seahorse goes back saying goodbye and only in that lake you can call that seahorse the farmside is near that lake there is a path between them at night there are loon calls and at some areas the fire temple chanting without music(at the last parts of night)(found on youtube)a desert with dead trees and cactus a foggy road with water all around with a dead tree facing down near the edge which goes over the road with the ice cavern theme playing there is a whale statue in the autumn side a cabin as well as in the green forest there is a small cubic house with a spiky skulltulla which spreads poison clouds requiring hookshot to be killed
