- When Ollie the otter was separated from his mom, he was so cold and lonely. But Seal Rescue Ireland helped him get better and taught him everything a little otter needs to know. He even made a new friend!

Then again, not meeting his emotional needs is also not good for development. I’m glad they got another cub, that’s ideal.
My favorite thing about otters is that they hold hands when they float together. 💜💜💜🦦🦦

In the past, I've had ferrets as pets and as they are in the same family as otters, there's a lot of similarities as to how they behave. It's the same clicking sounds, love of water, playing, etc. These two are so adorable and hope they stay safe and healthy in the wild.
My sister had one that was named Falcor. Ferrets are also called Cat Snakes.
@@paxhumana2015 Yes, ferrets were kept on ships to kill rats and mice that would eat grain or other food the ship carried to ports.
Instead of people humanizing otters as pets, they could get a ferret then! itd just be a LOT... more work to keep them calm and stuff cause not only are they known for taking random objects and hiding them...

I just love otters. Fun creatures, very entertaining. I love, even more, that Ollie and his girlfriend were raised to eventually go back out into the wild and be otters. I can't imagine having a baby otter, in my care, and not snuggling, cuddling, kissing and loving it to pieces! Great restraint from these rescuers. The otters are better for it in the long run.

pockets--& new tubs every 3 months or so.
