Countries Where People Live the Longest (1950-2100)

  • The video shows the timelapse of life expectancies at birth of each country from 1950 to 2100. Life expectancy is a statistical measure of the average time a human is expected to live, based on the year of its birth, its current age, and other demographic factors like sex. The most commonly used measure is life expectancy at birth. The age measured is rounded down, so an age of 35.9 is rounded to 35.
Note: the data corresponds to current regions. For example, the data of Russia during the Soviet Union corresponds to only the Russian region of the USSR.

It was discovered recently that the average human can live up to 150 years but due to many differents factors (stress, hunger, war, work ) humans barely can reach 100 years old.

The problem is with how life expectancy is counted.
You can have a society where 9 out of 10 children die before they turn 5 but those who survive live up to 100 years.
You can have a different society where almost all children survive their childhood but people who live longer than 80 years are very rare.
So, in the first example average life expectancy will be much lower than in the second one, but it will be commonly perceived as people living longer (if attention is paid only to those who survived their childhood)

If we have the same standard of living as Westerners, because the same 40-year-old Westerners usually look older, so I I think the average life expectancy of Chinese will soon surpass that of Western countries

Usually when there are more old people in a country this statisticaly shows that people have longer life expectancy, when there are more young people in the country the country has lower expectancy. For example in most african countries the life expectancy is aroud 40 or 50 years, but this doesn't mean people there live shorter, this means that they give birth to many children and most of the population hasn't reached old age yet.
