yes i totally agree! i have her skin type basically with the dryness and acne and even fine lines (my 16 year old self goes through a loooooot of stress haha) and like in this video even i can see that her skin isn't perfect but she still looks beautiful! it makes me feel more confident in myself and on days when i feel like my makeup looks like shit because of my skin i remember her and feel better. sam, thank you so much for making your videos and owning your skin; it's so inspiring to a lot of us!! keep doing what you're doing love

I agree. When it first goes on, it looks nice, but the flakes & racoon eyes ruin it for me. It literally flakes off completely & looks like I have nothing on my lashes. Also, there's a Stila mascara in a gold tube which is pretty much the same like better than sex, so avoid that one, too.

THANK YOU for mentioning that you don't need a HEAVY amount of concealer under your eyes. I literally cringe when I see makeup artists do that, and I hated Better Than Sex too I don't understand why girls love it.
Laura Millán do you use a serum before you moisturize? I started using one a few months ago and it seems to be really helping my texture (I have texture on my cheeks and chin. Yuck) Might be helpful for you too if you haven't tried one already!
I don't have texture, but I use a Vitamin C serum (it has other benefits) and it made my skin even smoother. Also, a lot of the reviews said that it helped with texture.

Sam Ryder it's a brilliant concealer- however I don't understand why all the beauty gurus do the huge triangles under their eyes. All you need is a couple of dots underneath your eyes to get full coverage :))
I tried to resist and did for quite some time. Now that I have it I wished I wouldn't have been so stubborn. It. is. fabulous. Sam is right as are the others, I barely use any and it covers the pits of darkness I call dark circles perfectly. Don't wait girl.

Honestly to me the Modern Renaissance palette is incredible. I thought it was over hyped like every other palette I got lured into purchasing until I actually got it. I have never ever created such beautifully blended eyeshadow looks with any other shadows. Idk it just makes me look as if I got skills. Lol I have other high end palettes I like but none have blended out like my ABH. I wish I would have bought her other palettes when they were available.

Your honesty is so refreshing. I've bought a few of these products off the back of beauty gurus raving about them on TH-cam and other social media and have been left very disappointed by the quality of the product, and have even been left questioning my own skills in applying makeup. With being on a limited budget as a student, this has been very helpful. Thank you so much Sam. I found that the Nars Creamy Concealer is very, very similar to the Collection 2000 16 Hour Concealer which is actually under £5; which I would highly recommend to anyone reading this looking for a dupe for the Nars concealer.

I agree. And all the crappy holiday launches they have. I am just over the gimmick of the scents, packaging, and stuff like that. Its a nightmare for people irritated by fragrance and just a selling point that isn't necessary or contributes to the actual quality of the product. I know having "textured" skin can be a burden because I too still suffer from terrible acne as an adult. I feel like every beauty guru I watch has perfect flawless skin and could not possibly understand the dilemmas I face. The whole reason I initially got interested in makeup was because I was embarrassed & ashamed of my skin. I find it so refreshing to finally see videos by someone who not only understands what I go through but embraces it. You are truly beautiful, amazingly talented and inspiring. I will definitely continue to watch your channel.
I agree with almost all of these except for the ABH MR.. it IS as good as everyone says. My most favourite shadows and colour selection of all time. I'll always repurchase and have one on hand. Also BTS Mascara I got in a Holiday collection once and remember really loving it.

I totally agree with how over-hyped liquid lipsticks are. Honestly I feel like I have so much more control with a normal lipstick. Plus my liquid lipsticks always end up balling up through out the day & I don't roll like that.

For the quality of shadows and how many shadows are in a palette it is worth the money. I don't care about similar colors and what not. It's still cheaper to buy them instead of making your own palette anywhere else.
Jessaleigh Yeah they are good for the price but I find they fade a lot on me! Like I'll do a really orange look using the 35O and within 20 minutes the pigment fades and it looks like I've just used warm browns so for me it's good for the money but not good enough to wow me on it's own!
OliviaMakesUpStyle, I don't have problems with them fading and I've never tried their goat hair brushed. I mean Morphe isn't my favorite shadow wise. I love their brushes I have. But if you are on a budget and can't afford High end it's the road to take.

Honestly to me the Modern Renaissance palette is incredible. I thought it was over hyped like every other palette I got lured into purchasing until I actually got it. I have never ever created such beautifully blended eyeshadow looks with any other shadows. Idk it just makes me look as if I got skills. Lol I have other high end palettes I like but none have blended out like my ABH. I wish I would have bought her other palettes when they were available.
BeautyxAvonRep Im Agreeing with her that it isn't overhyped. Trust me you will enjoy it. I kid you not when I say they blend themselves. I have never been able to get that blown out blended look until I used this palette.

Your honesty is so refreshing. I've bought a few of these products off the back of beauty gurus raving about them on TH-cam and other social media and have been left very disappointed by the quality of the product, and have even been left questioning my own skills in applying makeup. With being on a limited budget as a student, this has been very helpful. Thank you so much Sam. I found that the Nars Creamy Concealer is very, very similar to the Collection 2000 16 Hour Concealer which is actually under £5; which I would highly recommend to anyone reading this looking for a dupe for the Nars concealer.

I agree. And all the crappy holiday launches they have. I am just over the gimmick of the scents, packaging, and stuff like that. Its a nightmare for people irritated by fragrance and just a selling point that isn't necessary or contributes to the actual quality of the product. I know having "textured" skin can be a burden because I too still suffer from terrible acne as an adult. I feel like every beauty guru I watch has perfect flawless skin and could not possibly understand the dilemmas I face. The whole reason I initially got interested in makeup was because I was embarrassed & ashamed of my skin. I find it so refreshing to finally see videos by someone who not only understands what I go through but embraces it. You are truly beautiful, amazingly talented and inspiring. I will definitely continue to watch your channel.

I agree with almost all of these except for the ABH MR.. it IS as good as everyone says. My most favourite shadows and colour selection of all time. I'll always repurchase and have one on hand. Also BTS Mascara I got in a Holiday collection once and remember really loving it.

I totally agree with how over-hyped liquid lipsticks are. Honestly I feel like I have so much more control with a normal lipstick. Plus my liquid lipsticks always end up balling up through out the day & I don't roll like that.

For the quality of shadows and how many shadows are in a palette it is worth the money. I don't care about similar colors and what not. It's still cheaper to buy them instead of making your own palette anywhere else.
Jessaleigh Yeah they are good for the price but I find they fade a lot on me! Like I'll do a really orange look using the 35O and within 20 minutes the pigment fades and it looks like I've just used warm browns so for me it's good for the money but not good enough to wow me on it's own!

OliviaMakesUpStyle, I don't have problems with them fading and I've never tried their goat hair brushed. I mean Morphe isn't my favorite shadow wise. I love their brushes I have. But if you are on a budget and can't afford High end it's the road to take.
