Sam i just want to say that through the whole tutorial i was asking myself “but how would that look on my skin tone ? Is it worth it? “ and i really appreciate you just touching on some points for deeper skin. It’s so simple to be inclusive and you get the job done every time. Thank you lol
I love how descriptive you are when creating a look. It makes it so approachable and achievable for the viewer at home to recreate the look. For me personally, it's given me the confidence to try a new teqnique and step outside of my standard everyday looks. Sending much love from Toronto! ♥️🇨🇦
My goodness where have you been all my makeup life!? Aka since I became a widow and decided to journey back to myself via makeup! This palette has been sitting unopened in my drawer! You just inspired and grabbed another sub! Love how you broke everything down and came away so natural! I’ll be binge watching your videos! 😍
i‘m actually glad to see „normal“ tutorials! i feel like you do the most wearaable looks nowadays and i love it :). i still enjoy looking at cool looks that are really unique but i wouldn‘t try them at home. your look inspired me to try it out asap ❤️
I feel like no other TH-camr does this close of a close-up shot of their eye make up while they’re actually doing it and I’m not sure why because this is so helpful actually see what you’re doing with the make up so thanks for doing that😂😘❤️❤️❤️ also just wanted to say been here since day one when your channel was just a little baby✨
sara_ I agree! I think others maybe don’t do it because up close and personal, their looks aren’t that great or they’re hiding their real skin behind filters or something. The only others I’ve found that do this close up are An Nook and Angela Bright. Both excellent at eyeshadow tutorials just like Sam.
You are the only makeup artist I have bothered to subscribe to. My daughters and I watch you and love your personality. You make us feel like we are watching family. Never change. God has blessed you with a gift and we are so happy you share it with us.
I love how much audible detail you give when describing how you are applying the makeup. It's inclusive for people who can't see the visual element of the video and helps everyone understand the technique behind applying. Great video! Thank you. :)
I love how you take the time to explain everything you do and give tips along the way. A lot of you tubers will just zoom in a little, say what products they’re using and then time lapse the application process.
I think the number 1 reason you are SO PHENOMENAL at tutorials is your ability to precisely describe what to do. Watching people do makeup is like 1/5 the process- you actually describe the angle, the pressure, WHY you're doing it. I leave your vids feeling not just inspired but self sufficient in being able to recreate these techniques for myself. And I always learn something new. Best teacher award!! Haha.
It’s a breath of fresh air watching your tutorials, I actually learn something that works. I feel like you’re the only TH-camr I watch that doesn’t pick up a shit ton of product and like slap it on aimlessly
Thank you for bringing up that comment about Modern Renaissance being patchy sometimes. I have the exact same issue!! I’m not a trained makeup artist but I’ve been doing makeup for years and I’d say I’m good at blending and can do advanced eyeshadow looks, so I don’t think it’s my skills....it might be the combination of colours and undertones that make it look muddy sometimes. Especially with the berry shades.
I buy my daughter and myself extra spoolies often. I heard that trick awhile back and it's awesome. Thank you for your videos. You're so honest and informative. Keep up the great work!
Like you said, this look isn’t anything new. But it still is so gorgeous! I will never get tired of watching you blend warm neutrals together and seeing what you come up with 💖
Holy crap, Sam, I get mascara on my eye lids almost every single time I apply it, and the tip to remove it with a spoolie after it's dry has just CHANGED MY LIFE.
Your tip to mix colors to create a smoother gradient - genius. “I don’t know, try it.” I most certainly will - I feel like that’s a tip I’ve been missing that will improve my eyeshadow game! Thanks Sam!
You truly couldn't be any more pretty! Your sense of humor just adds to your beauty! Thank you for honest thoughts, the way you express yourself makes you much more relatable! 💓🕉
Thank you Sam for being so detailed and thorough with tutorial steps, I think a lot of beauty TH-camrs forgot how to do a proper tutorial these days, like YES, brush pressure, explaining why you do certain things etc. etc. really matters! :) much love from Poland xx
Samantha, your tutorials are so detailed, so precise, and you are so very relatable. I am a you tube beauty junkie, but I need to tell you that when you post a video I jump right on it. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness!
I love this palette. In a corporate work environment, I don’t really utilize vibrant colors often so this will be dominated by my eyes almost every day! I completely agree with your comments about ABH’s palettes. There’s always at least two shades twist the trend but not too crazy. Thank you for this tutorial!!
I have the Modern Renaissance palette and I noticed they colors would get muddy too. I haven't used it in forever bc of that. I love the Soft Glam! I have been using it non stop and I haven't had any issues with it getting muddy or patchy either. It's one of my FAV ABH Palettes ever! It's truly a BEAUTIFUL palette!
This palette I truly believe is the most stunning I’ve seen abh come out with... I’m so happy it’s not a bunch of crazy warm tones.. I swear I was praying someone would come out with a good neutral cool toned with warm palette, and this is definitely it... absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
If you like lightweight foundations you should try the Bourjois healthy mix serum. Not a great colour range but I myself do enjoy lightweight foundations and I find this one good for helping with redness and making my skin looking dewy and fresh
I totally agree about the muddiness in Modern renaissance ! It's the only issue I have with it. I've noticed it can happen very easily if you're not careful while blending ..
Absolutely loved this look Sam! You've convinced me to pick this up to add to my collection of abh palettes lol. Died at how the autofocus decided to neglect the fact you were in the middle of a tutorial. Fricken hilarious with those little captions
Got on TH-cam to look for a halo eye look because that’s what we just learned in my makeup school I’m going to, and this was the first video that came up! I’m not disappointed! Love this look and I really want that palette!
Finally someone doing realistic makeup tutorials that we all can follow. I recently bought this palette and wanted some inspiration with it. Thank you Sam. You are quickly becoming my new favourite youtuber x
Honestly you could do neutral eye tutorials every single video and I would never get sick of it. I’m 100% OBSESSED with this look and I love watching how you apply your makeup- you make it seem so effortless. The only thing I would change about this video is maybe just throw a quick shot of the pups :) love you Sam!!!
I agree with your points. ABH does do things trendy but differently. I also have some struggles with MR! Especially when I use the dark brown, my looks tend to get muddy. Couldnt figure out how to describe it lol And YES that damn velvet!
Love this tutorial! Thank you for keeping the tutorial spirit alive.... TH-cam has gotten away from actual makeup look tutorials and it's kinda sad to me! I love how you explain what you are doing and WHY you're doing it.... So helpful! Thank you! 😘
I really love your neutral looks! 9 times out of 10 that’s what we’re all going for on the daily anyway! I’d love to see another look using this pallette too❤️
hey sam! i watched your last chit chat grwm and how you spoke openly about being depressed... thankyou so much for being honest with your viewers and showing some real life stuff on youtube! as hard and as hurtful as it would be for you, it sets others free when you use this massive platform to express your issues... you’re brave and strong!! i love watching your vids and you do your make up so well!!! just wanted to say good on you and sending loads of love from the gold coast australia ☀️💛 lana
ughhhhhhh I didn't think I needed this palette but between you and Jkissa putting up these gorgeous tutorials....I need it 🙈 yes more looks!! I miss the 3 looks 1 palette challenge, I tend to get stuck with what I do and don't know what new combos to try..
Your skin looks incredible!! Such a pretty look 😻 everyone goes on about these complex, intricate looks but this would 100% be something I’d go for on a day - day basis or even on a night out if I want something fool proof and flawless 🤷🏻♀️😻xxx
Always love your videos. Your instructions on brushes and why you do what helps beginners and we newbies appreciate that! I am getting this palette because of your review/tutorial. Know that we care about you!
I personally prefer “the same look we’ve seen 5 thousand times”. They are different looks at the end of the day, and I’d actually recreate your looks whereas I’d never recreate something super different and out there.
I just got mine in the mail ! I can’t wait to play with it !! & yep, I totally agree with you. If the palette has transition colors, matte, shimmers & etc then I’m all for it. 💕
Bouncing off of the last video, girl if you didn’t live far away I would love to meet you! I enjoy your channel so much and I always get excited when I see that you’ve uploaded. Thanks for your courageous vulnerability
Sam ur incredibly talented don’t get discouraged! Ur tutorials are honestly amazing I learn so much from u in each video thank u for sharing ur talent with us u truly inspire me !! U truly look so confident in what u do keep up the good job 💖
This look is gorgeous! I always look forward to what you create.I also wanted to thank you for opening up about your depression and anxiety, it’s nice to know I’m not alone and I hope you know you aren’t either 💜 Keep your head up!
Just so you know I appreciate the tips Sam!.I have never been as much into makeup as I am now, 32. I'm just now at point in my life where I have two boys, I don't really care what people think of my appearance but I enjoy makeup, playing with makeup to me is very therapeutic. Lysm!! Keep being amazing. 💓💓💓
i surprisingly do not have a classic neutral palette I have a warm matte one but I've never really been drawn to any particular palette. I would love a three looks on this because I will definitely be picking it up!
This is honestly the palette of my dreams. It’ll be the first ABH palette I’ll own too 😍 aaaaand I love your eye make up so much. definitely saving this for a bridal look
Just a quick tip! I cut the flaps off of the box that these palettes come in and then I use the open box as a cover for the palette that I just slide on and off. Keeps it cleaner than if I just leave it lying around with the rest of my makeup. It may be annoying taking it on and off but looks wayyyy nicer than some of my palettes that I did not do this with!
I figured you'd be bombarded with comments from the last video, but I wanted to say..... As someone who can relate so incredibly much to EVERYTHING you were talking about, your videos are my escape from all of the crippling anxiety & depression. Your videos give me relief from the constant thoughts/feelings of being worthless, a horrible mother, not good enough. Little things like brushing my teeth or taking a shower - literally the easiest stupidest tasks for most people, I struggle with. Your videos bring me peace from the constant chaos..... Thank you for making me laugh and giving me that peace.
Just subbed to your channel. You are an excellent teacher! Some people can be very good at what they do, but not everyone can teach. I don't know why you haven't popped up in my feed before - so glad you did. I am a skincare/makeup junkie and have been one for many years! I look forward to watching your videos. Thanks for the great information! Ginny

Your autofocus is like idc about makeup, I've fallen in love with your ear lololol
originalparafan I kept thinking she has the cutest little freckles on her ear. 😂
Tell me why I put this palette on my eyes and it looks like mud and on you it looks INSANELY PERFECT
Whitney Simmons tell me why I have been to the gym twice and still don’t have abs????
I love this 🙌🏼
Whitney Simmons Whitney!!!! Love your videos!
Practice for Makeup and Exercise and Diet for Abs? Is it?
i love that you two support each other! i love you both!
i‘m actually glad to see „normal“ tutorials! i feel like you do the most wearaable looks nowadays and i love it :). i still enjoy looking at cool looks that are really unique but i wouldn‘t try them at home. your look inspired me to try it out asap ❤️

Tamara Dungan It has a LOT to do with the type of lens and camera.
sara_ Yeah most tutorials are done with them sitting a mile away lol. I do appreciate this very much from Sam.
What's The Story Morning Glory literally a mile😂
It's because their makeup skills are trash compared to Sam
you are the best teacher
You are the only makeup artist I have bothered to subscribe to. My daughters and I watch you and love your personality. You make us feel like we are watching family. Never change. God has blessed you with a gift and we are so happy you share it with us.
I love this look, people can complain all they want about neutral pallets but this is super wearable and still gorgeous
I love how much audible detail you give when describing how you are applying the makeup. It's inclusive for people who can't see the visual element of the video and helps everyone understand the technique behind applying. Great video! Thank you. :)
This eye look is so stunning on you 😍 Love how honest you were in your last video ❤️ xx
I love how you take the time to explain everything you do and give tips along the way. A lot of you tubers will just zoom in a little, say what products they’re using and then time lapse the application process.
I feel like this pallet is for those who didn't want the reds/pinks that were in the Modern Renaissance pallet since a few of the colors are the same.
I think the number 1 reason you are SO PHENOMENAL at tutorials is your ability to precisely describe what to do. Watching people do makeup is like 1/5 the process- you actually describe the angle, the pressure, WHY you're doing it. Absolutely stunning look. Love my ABH palettes out of all.
I’ve been debating this palette because I love modern renaissance and this tutorial has persuaded me to get it - love this look!!
Like you said, this look isn’t anything new. But it still is so gorgeous! I will never get tired of watching you blend warm neutrals together and seeing what you come up with 💖
Fantastic tutorial, doing such a closeup is amazingly helpful, can actually see what you're doing! Thank you!
Holy crap, Sam, I get mascara on my eye lids almost every single time I apply it, and the tip to remove it with a spoolie after it's dry has just CHANGED MY LIFE.

Beautiful look on you. The colors you used compliments you so well.
Thank you Sam for being so detailed and thorough with tutorial steps, I think a lot of beauty TH-camrs forgot how to do a proper tutorial these days, like YES, brush pressure, explaining why you do certain things etc. etc. really matters! :) much love from Poland xx
Comic sans had me in tears
froncifresh I lost it too!!! “Y Autofocus?”😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
it makes me think of my ALL my old teachers papers that they would type hahaha
Samantha, your tutorials are so detailed, so precise, and you are so very relatable. I am a you tube beauty junkie, but I need to tell you that when you post a video I jump right on it. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness!
I love this. Educational, chit chat, hang out, beautiful look, quick review, I am here for this Sam! Keep being you, you're refreshing

Now i need soft glam 😭
Gandhijis you will love it! It's such a fun and beautiful palette.
I like that you show the whole application/blending process of the eyeshadow!
didn't think I needed this palette until you showed me I needed this palette
This palette I truly believe is the most stunning I’ve seen abh come out with... I’m so happy it’s not a bunch of crazy warm tones.. I love how in-depth you go in your videos! They are honestly so helpful! Your looks are so beautiful!
The half lash & the light blending advice just blew my mind thanks sis!
I love this look and really appreciate how you explain each step. It’s so helpful for me! Thank you :)
This look is stunning. If I was still taking clients I would be picking this up, it would be great for brides and prom.
I think this is maybe the most informative and enjoyable eyeshadow tutorial I’ve ever watched
If you like lightweight foundations you should try the Bourjois healthy mix serum. Not a great colour range but I myself do enjoy lightweight foundations and I find this one good for helping with redness and making my skin looking dewy and fresh
I love how you went full on teacher mode in this video! Your tips were so informative and useful, makes me want to pick this palette up now!
I totally agree about the muddiness in Modern renaissance ! It's the only issue I have with it. I've noticed it can happen very easily if you're not careful while blending ..
I love neutral palettes and really pretty eye look. Thank you
I like the velvety packaging and my MR hasn't gotten dirty thus far. This palette looks so beautiful. Thanks for great review.
You give the best in-depth tutorials. So detailed. I find it so helpful. I love it👊🏼
I love this look. You have stunning blue eyes. Great video
Absolutely loved this look Sam! You've convinced me to pick this up to add to my collection of abh palettes lol. Died at how the autofocus decided to neglect the fact you were in the middle of a tutorial. Fricken hilarious with those little captions
this is a super helpful tutorial. like old school youtube beauty videos that actually teach you how to do things! thanks!
Got on TH-cam to look for a halo eye look because that’s what we just learned in my makeup school I’m going to, and this was the first video that came up! I’m not disappointed! Love this look and I really want that palette!
Such a great step to step video! Exactly what I have needed to see :)

You are the absolute BEST, Sam. You also make me spend ALL my money on products you like and I'm not mad about it!

Stunning :) Please create more looks with this palette Sam!! I feel like this is gonna be one that a lot of people are going to purchase.

That pallet colors are amazing for everyday! I love your look😍. It's reminding me of model sun glowing goddess.
I just got mine in the mail ! I can’t wait to play with it !!

I haven't watched one of your videos on a while and omg I forgot how much I love that you zoom in so much! Thank you for doing that!
Your eyes are so insanely blue, so pretty!
The caramely, pinky, warm browns in this make my heart sing and I will probably use this everyday. Neeeed.
i surprisingly do not have a classic neutral palette I have a warm matte one but I've never really been drawn to any particular palette. I would love a three looks on this because I will definitely be picking it up!

Stunning look. Great job Sam, you're gorgeous and talented
Ps I love how much detail you go into to in your tutorial! thank you guiding us to greatness with so much information and knowledge
Sam you so beautiful inside and out. This is by far my fave look out of this palette, its so pretty
Ginny
Oh, btw, i have this palette and I love it. The colors are just beautiful and can go from very soft and neutral to more glam and rich very easily!
You look so radiant and glowly! So beautiful :)
I love your technique so much!! Such a pretty look too
