I’m so sorry I have had several amazing dogs in my life 2 years back I had to put my staffie down due to her liver shutting down, she was my baby girl and I still miss her! In honor of her, I got my Brody boy an American pit bull terrier 6 months after and he has proven to be an exceptional dog and has greatly helped me heal. I don’t know your situation but if you do look at getting another dog to honor him/her I highly suggest an American pit bull terrier, the hype is exactly that all dogs can attack, it’s how they are raised! I got my Brody at 6 months and have showed kindness and he’s grown into the sweetest dog I’ve ever had, he loves my neighbors on both sides of me, who are all seniors and is very gentle and sweet with them, at first they were very nervous now they all adore him! As far as other dogs he was at the dog park yesterday for the first time and played very well with all types of dogs for close to 3 hours with a big smile on his face. I realize this is long and thank you for bearing with me but APBT were used by wicked people who took advantage of their love and great desire to please and fought them. Due to this stigma and very occasionally an attack, which all dogs especially those not trained properly can do, they have grown a bad image and are euthanized at shelters due to overcrowding. If you have a way too exercise them, which they need to be stimulated both physically and mentally, you will not regret it! Mine is the most affectionate cuddle bug I’ve ever had!

I had this on my car player as I took my sweet little Jojo to the vet for the last time. I held him and loved him as he slipped away. Then I played it again on that awful drive back home...alone and crying my heart out. That was 5 months ago and the tears are coming just as I'm typing. I thank God above for blessing me with such a wonderful friend. My mom and sister will care for him until it's our time to be reunited.

I lost my Shih Tzu when I was 21 years old. I had her in my life since I was 8 years old. I am now a 34 years old man and I can tell you that I never cried as much as I did, when she passed away. She fade away on my lap after a whole night driving hundreds of miles, to get her to the nearest veterinarian and yet it wasn't enough to save her. I now have the sweetest Pug I could ever ask for. He's getting old and I can't imagine going through the same process of grieving... The love and loyalty of a dog, can only be compared to a Mother's or Father's love. Humanity doesn't deserve them for the most part.
Their spirits always come back generally in another pet. I have so many stories of this happening and having dreams telling me where to collect them. They may look very different, young or old but love will find the quickest way back to you. A friends sister’s husband came back as a Siamese cat being the only way to get close to her again. Thank you for loving your pets so much and perhaps it was your pet’s last wish to go in the car with you, they all love going in the car. Congratulations Namaste 🙏
Many year ago my mother and I had to have a much loved beagle terrier mix, princess, put to sleep. A good friend worried about me got her husband to come with me. As the Veternary assistant carried her away the sweet little dog looked at me with the saddest look on her face and I cried the fourth Pittsburgh river. I have 4 more that will bless my life, after that I will gladly go with them all.

@@Cj-sg8vs This may sound strange but if you are ever looking for another dog, PLEASE consider a rescue. In most states They are being euthanized in record numbers and it’s terrible. My state NC has pretty much taken away the SNAP program which is a service for lower income individuals to get affordable neutering surgery. I had to pay 450 for my pit bull, who is a teddy bear loves people and other dogs, to get fixed. Which is worth it to me but there are plenty of others who need assistance and taking away that program is a major major problem

I've lost so many dogs through the years, even though some weren't even technically mine, losing them hurt like losing an important member of the family. As I take really good care of them, they've all lived long happy lives, but in the end is sad seeing them getting sick as they age. I used to sing this song out loud for them, but after I lost my last two dogs I haven't been able to even listen to this song since. (that's 2015 BTW) I finally remembered and listened to it again now, and immediately burst into tears. I've always had dogs, & most of them were rescues. I have the cutest most precious Corgi/Border Collie mix ever, & she's smart as a whip too! I was having trouble breathing after I got out of the shower this morning, which turned into a full-blown asthma attack. Koda, being my shadow, heard I was out of the shower & immediately joined me in the master bath. She could see, hear & sense something wasn't right with me, & started her little chatting. As I struggled more to breathe she began to yelp, then bark. When that didn't change anything; she darted out of the bathroom, yelping & barking louder & louder, the next thing I recall is my husband handing me my inhaler & Koda & looking up at me whining as if she was asking me if I was ok. What a little HERO I have! I was nearly unconscious & she ran through the house yelping & barking to wherever my husband was, & wouldn't stop until he came into the bathroom! So smart & so sweet!!! I adopted Koda 4 years ago after she was rescued as a puppy from an abusive situation. Unfortunately, she is still traumatized & occasionally ducks her head (while wagging her tail chasing me to the kitchen) when she greets me at the door & I reach down to pet & kiss her. It breaks my heart every time to think about what she had to have gone through for her to still duck sometimes when I reach to pet her. She's so sweet & loveable, I can't grasp anyone finding a reason to hurt her, or any helpless animal. I'm glad she was rescued from that horrible home & glad I found her. I hope one day she feels my 100%unconditional love for her is the same that she has for me, & she won't feel like she has to duck her precious little head when I come home & reach out to shower her with my love! 💔🐶❤

Always had dogs! The last one was so very special. I never knew how gentle & loving Rottweilers can be, as I was brought up having Jack Russell's & so it was a big leap. 10 years of absolute happiness we had raising him & he was 2 when I took him on myself. This may sound strange but if you are ever looking for another dog, PLEASE consider a rescue. In most states They are being euthanized in record numbers and it’s terrible. My state NC has pretty much taken away the SNAP program which is a service for lower income individuals to get affordable neutering surgery. I had to pay 450 for my pit bull, who is a teddy bear loves people and other dogs, to get fixed. Which is worth it to me but there are plenty of others who need assistance and taking away that program is a major major problem

I've lost so many dogs through the years, even though some weren't even technically mine, losing them hurt like losing an important member of the family. As I take really good care of them, they've all lived long happy lives, but in the end is sad seeing them getting sick as they age.
I used to sing this song out loud for them, but after I lost my last two dogs I haven't been able to even listen to this song since. (that's 2015 BTW)
I finally remembered and listened to it again now, and immediately burst into tears.
I feel sad for having losing them all those years ago, buy I also feel relieved for having not forgotten them. hahah It's hard to explain.

I've always had dogs, & most of them were rescues. I have the cutest most precious Corgi/Border Collie mix ever, & she's smart as a whip too! I was having trouble breathing after I got out of the shower this morning, which turned into a full-blown asthma attack. Koda, being my shadow, heard I was out of the shower & immediately joined me in the master bath. She could see, hear & sense something wasn't right with me, & started her little chatting. As I struggled more to breathe she began to yelp, then bark. When that didn't change anything; she darted out of the bathroom, yelping & barking louder & louder, the next thing I recall is my husband handing me my inhaler & Koda & looking up at me whining as if she was asking me if I was ok. What a little HERO I have! I was nearly unconscious & she ran through the house yelping & barking to wherever my husband was, & wouldn't stop until he came into the bathroom! So smart & so sweet!!!
I adopted Koda 4 years ago after she was rescued as a puppy from an abusive situation. Unfortunately, she is still traumatized & occasionally ducks her head (while wagging her tail chasing me to the kitchen) when she greets me at the door & I reach down to pet & kiss her. It breaks my heart every time to think about what she had to have gone through for her to still duck sometimes when I reach to pet her. She's so sweet & loveable, I can't grasp anyone finding a reason to hurt her, or any helpless animal. I'm glad she was rescued from that horrible home & glad I found her. I hope one day she feels my 100%unconditional love for her is the same that she has for me, & she won't feel like she has to duck her precious little head when I come home & reach out to shower her with my love! 💔🐶❤

Always had dogs! The last one was so very special. I never knew how gentle & loving Rottweilers can be, as I was brought up having Jack Russell's & so it was a big leap. 10 years of absolute happiness we had raising him & he was 2 when I took him on myself. I fixed him & built him up & he was 1 special entity. ❤️✌🏼🌌🌠🌈🌉

Years later and Mum is now in a nursing home living with advanced dementia and a massive stroke which has left her unable to hold a simple conversation. I went to visit her with two of my daughter's and I played this song. Mum started to sing along to it. I'm not able to explain my sobbing.....
