That's a great start. After 7 years of Dreamcatcher I personally still put Piri in their top 3 songs. You can't go wrong with them, though they do many genres of songs so the ballads will catch you off guard if you're expecting this.
Ohh can’t wait to dig in to the ballads
@@jungkutz Deja Vu is a VERY popular rock ballad that has the most iconic line among Insomnia (from Handong, the one on the right you were liking besides Dami). Heart of Sunflower is a straight ballad; no mv but it should have a video with a live band from the online concerts you looked at. In between rock/metal and ballads they also do plenty of mid tempo vibe songs. July 7th is a great one with an mv. Leader of the group JiU wrote a few like All Day Long.
@@jungkutz Oh and there are no raps in any of the songs I mentioned. Dami sings in every one of them, so there's that 😉.
Appreciate all the wonderful information on Dreamcatcher, I’m fairly new to the world of K-pop and doing reactions, can’t wait to dive deeper into them😊

Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher! Dreamcatcher were dubbed "the Face of Rock in K-Pop" by Rolling Stone India and they've earned that distinction because they always incorporate various rock and metal genres in their title tracks. Don't let that fool you though, Dreamcatcher are one of the most musically diverse groups I've ever come across with their b-sides spanning dozens of genres and sub-genres including Rock, Metal, EDM, Jazz, Pop, Trap, Reggae, Funk, and much more.
As others have stated, Piri is part of their Nightmare Series. If you want to go back to their debut, that song would be Chase Me, released in 2017. This song is the beginning of the Nightmare Series and the order of releases is as follows:
Chase Me - Debut
Good Night - Direct sequel to Chase Me
Fly High - Prequel to the Nightmare storyline
You & I
What
Piri
Breaking Out - Final chapter of the Nightmare series and their first Japanese release.
The rest of their titles and special releases are a mix of self-contained projects and trilogies, or in the case of their most recent comeback, a duology.
- Dystopia Trilogy -
Scream
Boca (mouth in spanish)
Odd Eye
- Apocalypse Trilogy -
Maison (home in french)
Vision
Bonvoyage
- Versus Duology -
OOTD
Part 2 is unreleased but will probably drop in the next few months.
- Stand-alone songs -
Deja Vu - Collaboration with the mobile game Kings Raid
R.o.S.E. Blue - Collaboration with the mobile game Girl, Cafe, Gun
Endless Night - Japanese release
Eclipse - Collaboration with Kings Raid for their anime. This was the season 2 opening for the show.
BEcause - Dreamcatcher's take on a summer song. Takes a lot of visual influence from Jordan Peele's movie 'Us'
They have a fantastic discography and are constantly putting out content. They just wrapped up a European tour with two stops in Asia (Taiwan & Hong Kong). I suspect they'll be touring the America's later this year with, hopefully, a few additional stops in pacific countries.
Yes great information ty can’t wait to dive into more dreamcatcher💜
3:25 That Sir, is the Piri.
"Piri" was, along with "Scream", my first listen to this wonderful group. Dreamcatcher actually changed my musical world view. Until today and forever.
I agree 🫰🏼
They've been around since 2017 (or 2014 depending on how we define it) so the members are more mature than most other girl groups in kpop. 2 of the members will be 30 this year while the youngest just turned 25 not long ago.
I 💜them, their sound is so unique and addictive. Thanks for the great words 😊
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉
"Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉
Oh wow that is so dope I can’t wait to dive in to more of their music🫰🏼
Since it hasn’t been mentioned yet
“Wake Up” by them has STRONG punk pop / rock vibes. Probably be right up your alley and a b side
Omg adding that to the list ty, Pop punk is my fave 😊
You can't find a more complete group to DC, all 7 member all bias materials. All talented. Dreamcatcher is the best group literally. People just chase for groups from big companies and ignore real talents... You should keep reacting to DC, they have too many great songs and Piri is great but can't even be in my top 20 of their great songs. They are that great.
I totally appreciate them, all these great comments got me wanting to do more videos reacting to them. Their style is so good. I’m glad I been introduced to them. 💜
dreamcatcher \:D/
piri is the final part of their nightmare series(chase me, good night, fly high, you and I, what, and finally piri). they like to release most of their title tracks in a themed series so they also have two other completed trilogies - dystopia(scream, boca, odd eye) and apocalypse(maison, vision, bon voyage). they are known for using a lot of rock/metal influence but their discography spans across all genres so they will have a song for you ;)
Omg that so cool, I can’t wait
to see more of their work 😊 thanks you for the comment 🫰🏼
Thank you for reacting to Dreamcatcher, they debuted in 2017 as Dreamcatcher but some of the members debuted already before as another group during 2014. They are considered the face of rock in K-pop. Seeing how you enjoy their rock sound , you will love them for sure ^^. Their title tracks are mostly Rock but incorporated with other genre as well such as metal, edm and pop . Their age ranges from 25 to 29. If you want to hear more of rock from their songs , I recommend Chase Me, Goodnight and Reason (fan song). You can also try some of fan favorites such as Scream, BEcause and Bonvoyage.
Aww thank you for the insight, wow they been around that long good to know, can’t wait to react to some of the songs you mentioned 🫰🏼thank you 😊
welcome to InSomnia (dreamcatcher fan base) a world of wonderfull things await for you sir!
5 seconds in: "that guitar riff caught me off guard"
Buckle up 😂
🎸😂
Can you react to the curse of the Spider 2024 concert mv?? ❤ Badass ❤
Yes I can’t wait to check out that MV will definitely get a reaction for it🫰🏼
The face of rock 😎
I must add that there are seven songs in the Nightmare story arc, the final one being Breaking Out. Breaking Out was a Japanese release so kind of fell through the cracks, since Koreans didn't see the MV. It's still illegal to broadcast Japanese language content in South Korea. If you do watch all seven songs then you can decide for yourself. Seven members, seven songs. Dreamcatcher's songs are all stories of one kind or another and they're the only Kpop girl group who have a rock based sound.
I love it appreciate the great info 🫰🏼
Congrats, you just landed on the best girl group 😅
I 💜them
If you love emo pop punk you will LOVE Dreamcatcher!!!
Totally love that genre
