I was in Tywyn last month on holiday with friends and they took me to the local cinema, Its a great experience and lovley people there, I even took photos of the hotel not knowing the John Lennon connection and I'm a massive Beatles fan!. Absolutely blows me away, Thanks LT, another amazing video.
Great video , liked and subscribed great accent I had a dentist who was a native Welsh speaker you sound just like him. Very thorough telling of this episode in the tale of John and Yoko very enjoyable video.
Love the white room, photos of John and Yoko. The Hotel by the sea, it’s a shame it wasn’t restored. Seems like a very nice location. I enjoyed the history about the children and the accident. Very interesting! I enjoyed it. Thank you LT for all your detail.
Great vlog L.T. use to spend holidays in Tywyn many times as it was easy accessible from the West Mids started going in around 1973 onwards. Fond memories . Fantastic facts and shame about the Corbett Arms Hotel. Hopefully it gets preserved for heritage purposes. 👍🏴
I knew about the car crash in Scotland and that Lennon had called in to see one of his aunties in Liverpool on the way there (which was the last time he was ever in Liverpool) but I didn't know that they had been in Wales beforehand. Shame about that hotel. Such a handsome building being left to deteriorate.
I used to go on holidays to Aberdovey , near Tywyn , in the late 50s / early 60s. Fascinating that John and Yoko were there. I knew about John’s connection with Scotland
Very interesting, Ive never heard of this accident before and especially having the car crushed and more or less displayed. Makes me wonder what ever happened to it. Is it still out there somewhere? It would be one cubed car worth a lot of money if its around! It would be cool to find out! Cool video LT!
The military buildings or what is left of them are part of Tonfanau. My father did part of his national service there in the early 1950’s. There was also a honey Ice Cream factory just outside Towyn can remember the actress Pat Phoenix opening the venue very early 1980’s. (Elsie Tanner in Coronation Street )
There's a video of Julian & Cynthia Lennon here on YT talking about that wreck, and how little Julian had said his grandfather (who was dead) protected him in the wreck. Julian had never met him, but said the man spoke to him during that accident. It's a sweet moment and you can see how close he was to his mother.
Hey another great video LT .. out of all the cars John Lennon could of owned or driven in 69..he had a Austin Maxi arguably one of worst British cars ever made... keep up the great videos cheers.
Thank you LT, great content of very little known information about J L time in North Wales I think his ex wife Cyn and son Julian lived in Rhuddlan, not far away, John was probably travelling to get Julian before heading up to Scotland. Ps keep up the good work 😊
John & yoko must have been the worst parents at that time, both not long off Heroin, both drug takers, both selfish attitudes towards children. As much as I love Lennon, I wouldn't let him babysit my kids. Cynthia did a good job bringing up Julian on her own.
great video love to have known why lennon crashed the car drugs maybe when lennon was recording the abbey road album he had ono brought into the studio in her hospital bed
Hi Roy, thanks for watching. Lennon seems to have panicked when he came face to face with another car on a narrow lane and drove into a ditch. That's what i've read but who knows
They were on the scenic road around the Kyle of Tongue, a 10-mile sea inlet today crossed by a causeway and bridge. The road is still the same narrow, twisting single-track with occasional passing places, between which one's only escape from the road is onto rough and rocky moorland or into a ditch. The story is that they met another tourist car head-on between passing places and John swerved into the ditch.
Ciao L.T ❤ un viaggio nel passato tra vecchie rovine, che racchiudono i ricordi di un musicista, poeta e artista immenso. Un pensiero lo dedico alle grande Yoko, che ho sempre considerato una donna degna di John ❤
Baz, Brian Epstein died in 1967. The Beatles were in Bangor at the time of his death . There’s photos of them at the college they stayed at in Bangor with the Maharishi . Last time in Liverpool? RUBBISH ! saw John and Yoko in 75 walking along High Street in Woolton Village South Liverpool his old stomping ground after been the Baths with the lads, it was AUGUST on a very warm day, just nodded and said alright, John just nodded and had a smile on his face, in no rush both of them if I remember right, don't forget everyone had long hair back then so he didn't really stand out.
John Lennon couldn’t even consider leaving the USA until 7 October 1975 when he won his battle against deportation. He didn’t in fact travel overseas until 1976 when he received his Green Card guaranteeing permanent US residency and the freedom to travel. After that he travelled to Japan and South Africa but he never returned to England.
@@IMAC1776 Fella it was nearly 50 yrs ago ! could have been 76, his birthday was in early October by the way, but believe you me it was him and Yoko, lived by Woolton for just on 50yrs, still see the old mates around.... and they still remember it, by the way years and years later met Paul McCartney when he popped in Woolton baths when I was comming out, had a look around Woolton he said on his way to SPEKE AIRPORT, just a day in the life !

Yeah needs at least a few mill spending on it. Wonder if there is not enough holiday maker demand that makes it worth an investors time.
Thanks for watching

Hi, yes it's kind of a gimball camera that i'm using now (DJI Pocket 3)
The wreck inspired Yoko to write the song "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking for Her Hand in the Snow)."

Lennon was notoriously short sighted, probably the reason for the crash.
John & yoko must have been the worst parents at that time, both not long off Heroin, both drug takers, both selfish attitudes towards children. As much as I love Lennon, I wouldn't let him babysit my kids. Cynthia did a good job bringing up Julian on her own.
Sean wasn't born yet and Julian was with Cynthia
Julian was better off with Cynthia. And you're not wrong about John Lennon being an irresponsible parent
I agree, atleast he had money broke addict parents are the only thing worse I can think of
