It still wrecks, a lot of the new talismans work with it. Including the one that makes Magma attacks stronger by 15 percent. stack that with alexander's shard and you got 30 percent. haven't got it all figured out but 30 percent is a nice starting point.

its still really good, id say a top choice with the crazy staggering you do to smaller bosses, you can easily kill all of the smaller or humanoid dlc bosses because of the staggering and the weapon breaks poise against the bigger bosses in 3-5 casts.
i was going to furiously type how they could do this to one of my fav weapons, thanks for the info. though i am still gonna miss knocking people around with it haha

I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner, blasphemous blade basically makes the game easy mode. Does a shit ton of poise damage, knocks down enemies, heals you, and the ash of war has way more range than it should. And on top of that it's in one of the best weapon categories.
As a blasphemous blade user, it kind of sucks on higher NG+ runs because the heal isn't nearly worth the time it takes to charge. And the fact that the heal isn't even enough to tank another hit most of the time.
@@t33h33studio Them being busy does not make sense because it is literally just a toggle that decides if you can ride Torrent in an area or not. So there must have been some other consideration that made them wait to decide on it. Most likely a lore reason since you are fighting Elden Beast in some crazy special space.
Bloodhounds fang is still really good, as is Mohg’s spear, and the claymore. And the dlc weapons are awesome too! There’s plenty of stuff out there worth using, I believe in you!
So you can speed run his fight to get to new game plus faster for the dlc. Think about it, with torrent now he wont be able to teleport and or run away bc you can just summon torrent and catch up to him super quick. Before that hed teleport, or fly, end up half way across the big ass arena and spam you with holy incantations from a mile away. Now you can take that whole playing catch up game away and effectively make his fight way way shorter now
The day after I spent 10 f****** hours fighting that elden b**** running all the way across the arena dying over and over again and now they add the horse fml
Killed Fire Giant yesterday with Moonveil, 40 Dex, 50 Int, Warrior Jar Shard, Millicent's Prosthesis, Magic Scorpion, Dragon Greatshield Talisman, Golden Vow Aow, Magic and consecutive attacks tears. Aaaand it's still good, not what it was in 1.1, but still great
I love that katana. Makes a mockery of invasions whi think you are just gonna calmly slash at them from a distance until you run at them for a combo hit

I think its fairly good I would guess that they don’t want us to stagger like crazy the DLC bosses with those weapons but I don’t know why they nerfed the dragon remembrance weapon it was already pretty bad
L FromSoft for nerfing blasphemous blade. That nerf is unnecessary ASF and only nerfed it so people use different weapons. Bouta learn how make mods just so I can revert the weapon back to what it was in its glory days
Only ever used Blasphemous Blade for the healing so I could get more cerulean flasks for incantations and it still does that lol. It's still a nice fallback weapon for when things get in your face too. Not a terrible nerf tbh.

I used the blasphemous blade just last night and beat the lion in 6-7 tries. Even if it doesn’t cause knock downs, it does insane damage still and heals so I mean I find it still amazing
To be fair, in dark souls, staggering enemies wasn't about knocking them down for ripostes but rather actually learning how to parry. So perhaps the game devs are telling those who use the blasphemous blade to get good

Blasphemous blade still extremely OP. Beat the final DLC boss solely with that. No summons. Just me , my blasphemous blade, fire scorpion charm, shard of Alexander , Godfrey icon, and dragon crest great shield + flame grant me strength and golden vow+ flame shrouding cracked tear and green burst crystal tear in mixed physick. That got it done. The heals when you hit him with the weapon art is just too OP. Takes a big chunk of their health and adds health to you . Just too good

Blasphemous blade getting two nerfs is crazy, moonviel doing more damage normally but getting less poise attack from the ash of war makes it worse for blasphemous blade, on top of reducing ailment procs on top of the last nerf (which since then haven't seen a single bleed proc unless it was done to me by a npc) almost kills using different weapons
using the talisman of dread and alexander's jar shard the blasphemous blades charge can still chunk bosses though. watched my younger brother destroy radagon and the elden beast on his second try
Literally the next boss I need to defeat is the Elden beast but I'm using the Blasphemous blade. It's ok tho the regen on it's skill and the damage on the actual weapon is good though.
Torrent in elden beast fight is so good. Finally u can reliably dodge the elden stars.

You can use the Great Ruins sword for a knockdown, but obviously it will not have the healing effect.

Was looking at some of the patch notes. Man they really hate us staggering enemies. 90% of the patch notes are about poise being reduced on weapons

The knockback wasn't removed, you just can't do chain knockback as before, now you need to wait some time to knockback the enemies with the ash of war

It’s still more than usable, I’ve been cruising through the dlc with it
