Try taking you do into woods. before your truffle season starts and try the truffle smelling Kong. The do first needs to understand the work you are asking of it. We have got many places where we have not found a truffle. The dog will gain the motivation throw the work. I have never known a dog to lose motivation, just keep the experience positive.
Recall, Stay, Sit, watch. this idea is the dog will always follow your instruction. This become more difficult when we are teach dogs to use their nose in the right way. Thank you for the question
