- Today I will be taking you with me to the forests of San Miniato outside Pisa in the Tuscany region of Italy. San Miniato is known as the "capital" of the White truffle and with our expert guide, Massimo, and his dog Geo, we hope to find one of these rare treasures!
Truffle hunting has always been a dream of mine and we couldn't have asked for a better guide and host than Massimo.

This was brilliant! My kids loved seeing the process - we had a discussion about scenting things out which led to truffles and your video. @@anthonys5568 I’ve heard folks will rub truffle or truffle oil on dog treats/meat so the dog associated the smell with the treat and hunt for the scent! Haha

Can someone please tell me how to get to this place from South Africa
You can fly to Florence and then take the train to Piza or ask Masimo to give you coordinates. Tuscany is magnificent. You must visit the surrounding areas for not only truffles but wine, cheese,gelato and the beautiful hill towns
Currently I am staying at an apartomento holiday stay and I will visit Arezzo, Cortona, Florence, many more places as well as Venice where I will fly home to Canada. You must visit. Italy is awesome. 😊
