  • Xi'an (simplified Chinese: 西安 ) is the capital city of the Shaanxi province, located in the geographical heart of China. It is one of the oldest places in the country and generally considered to be the cultural and historical capital.
Xi'an therefore attracts many tourists, from overseas and domestically. The prime attractions are the Muslim quarter, where people usually take a stroll and a bite at the end of the day, the ancient city wall, and of course the world famous Terracotta Warriors.
The Terracotta Warriors, or Army (simplified Chinese: 兵马俑) are one of the most stunning archaeological findings of the 20th century. It was discovered in 1974 by a group of farmers digging a water well.
China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang ( 秦始皇 ), decided to build a gigantic army, made of clay, to either protect himself from evil spirits after death, or continue his rule after he would die. The Army consists of horses, soldiers, archers, and infantry, and continues to attract people in large numbers.

Xi'an is very beautiful. We'd like to visit the Terracotta museum and the wall. The temple is old and beautiful.

Having massive Terracotta Warriors made of clay in the tomb is not because the emperor is afraid of spirits after he died. The only reason is the deep bond between his army and official that they decide to meet again in next lives.

Expensive taxi ride from the airport. About ten miles and it cost like 110 RMB.

Those soldiers are the reason why Chin lost his EMPIRE having thousands of men making huge barbie dolls when they should have been building roads and bridges .

No, because he was too strict and too cruel in punishments. Then, the peasant revolts start for they simply can't take it anymore.
And he was expanding his empire alright. Also don't forget the construction of the Great Wall during his time, lots and lots of peasants were deployed to build it.

The Terracotta Army and Mausoleum certainly diverted a lot of state resources and manpower that could have gone elsewhere, but this is only one contributing factor to the downfall of the Qin Dynasty. Their oppressive Legalist governing philosophy enraged all classes of men with its harsh system of punishments and stiff rewards for merit and service. That's why the subsequent Han Dynasty used syncretic Daoism and Confucianism as their guides to governance, reforming the penal code to lessen the severity of punishments, especially when it came to outlawing most forms of capital punishment. This legal reform was pretty forward-looking for the time period.

You call Qin(first founder is HAN Gaozu/ Last emperor of Qin is Huhai) empire is the same with Hun(HAN) Emperor (first founder is Ogouz HAN/ Last emperor of West Hun emp. is Huhanie). Later, West Hun empire were assimilated by South of chinese. so in chinese history Qin empire=in Turkey history HUN/West HUN Empire. They are army of West Hun empire. stronger and bigger like ottoman and seljuks Turkic people.
