I love that you showed off the other vendors! You’re so awesome for sharing their businesses. I love talking to other vendors too, Ive made so many great connections that way. I love your positive attitude!
@@CatCakeCrochet yes I agree thank you so much! I think I’m going to make it an actual segment in my market break downs! It so important to show these other small businesses and lift each other up! I absolutely love this community and I love helping in any way I can! ☺️🤍

OMG I'm so glad to have come across your video!! I hadn't seen anybody selling crochet in markets in NYC on youtube!! I am having my first market next weekend in Astoria and I'm doing so much prep so you were extremely helpful! Also yay super glad you had a successful market!!
@@kefknits omg yayyy! And yes finding crocheter that sell at markets is pretty rare (in New York) in my opinion. I always love meeting other artists when I can! Good luck with your first market!!
@@kefknits I usually go on instagram and type in something like “craft markets nyc” or “markets in nyc” and there will be a bunch of posts that come up. I do want to say just make sure you are looking up these markets. I’ve been seeing a lot of people get scammed when looking and paying for booths so just be careful when you find these markets. You can look them up on google or even go through their posts and tagged posts to make sure they are legit. I hope that helps🤍
I might try out some of the patterns you linked. I did my first market last week and my best seller was an octo. It was the only amigurumi item that I made for the market. It’s making me reconsider my niche/products 😅
Haha I keep watching your videos now. Youre killing it out there and that is so awesome. I'm wondering if you take custom orders at all? (like a pattern you already have in your online store, but with special color requests?) love your work! Unrelated to my above questions, but I noticed you sell on both etsy and your own store. which platform have you been liking more?
@@reconcilecraftco thank you so much! I don’t normally take customs since I work with a pretty limited color options but you can email me and see if we can make something work! 😊 And as for which platform I prefer more, I do like Etsy for beginners since they pretty much set up everything for you but the fees are kind of steep once you start getting more popular. I honestly prefer selling on my own website when it comes to physical products. Theres a lot more freedom, I pay $40 a month and shipping costs but other than that I get to have creative freedom. So as an artist that means a lot to me☺️. I hope I was able to answer your question!🤍
It's a shame I don't live in New York because I would love to come see your booth in action! Your channel is super inspiring to me, I'm also just starting out (have done two small markets so far).
People and their comments...🤦♀️ Smile and say thank you! I don't market, but am thinking about it since I discovered I love crochet. Gotta find a way to pay for yarn. 😁 I am much older which means my mouth might get me in trouble. 😂
$400 for a weekend is not a lot. Generally, my fees for markets is anywhere from $85-$450. The higher ticket markets generally have high foot traffic and lower cost ones are slower foot traffic. With holiday season the foot traffic is normally high
