Oh my gosh! I need to find a venue like this! I just had my first two craft markets and I just got the "It's cute, but I don't have any grandkids to buy this for" response. I just wanted to be like, "Cute plushies aren't just for kids!" Congrats on the successful market!
@@CrochetingWithMaia haha yesss I get that a lot! A ton of people point my booth out as the “baby toy” booth🙃 I always have to remind them it’s not just for kids!😂
Well done my dear. Your toys etc, were lovely and everything was beautifully set out. I used to have a stall every month when I lived in Tasmania. I sold knitted toys and greeting cards. The most I ever made was $250 as the market only ran for the day. There was a big one in Deloraine (Tasmania) which went on for 4 days. They ran buses to the different venues and if you wanted a stall you had to book a couple of years in advance.
Love that you did so good. I've got a holiday market the 23rd this month so I'm getting inventory prepped for that. 🤞 it's a good one. My last market was over the summer, I made around $300 for the 1 day, 6hr event. I'd love to do a 2 or 3 day market but they're rare in my area.
Congrats on the great market! That highland cow was absolutely adorable!! Thank you for sharing the pattern for it! I have to ask though, what pattern did you use for the white reindeer with the blue accents I saw in one of your baskets?
Thank you! I used this pattern and went on her insta to follow the winter color scheme from a post she had that I liked! www.etsy.com/listing/1459788191/digital-pattern-deer-crochet-plushie?ref=yr_purchases
@@reigningcharmz that's amazing! I love that pattern Winnie the Dragon. They do well for me at my larger markets too! But nothing like that in terms of how many sell at one market! 😍😍
Yay, congratulations! That was an awesome turnout! Did u sell any Halter tops? It didn't look like you did. They were colorful & pretty hanging, but i was wondering because no one could touch them, or if they were too season specific, maybe.
I sold one! These are actually old stock that I'm trying to get rid of. People who were interested in them definitely asked to see them, but I don't have a variety of sizes/colors left since it's the last of the stock, so that was the main issue. They liked the tops, but didn't have the size or color they wanted

I have a question what did you usually put in your mystery box’s? Also where did you get the boxes? You did an amazing job. You also made a lot of inventory so don’t feel like you didn’t make enough.
This was the first time I did mystery boxes! I searched foreverrr for patterns I wanted to put in them. I have two market prep videos out before this one where I talk about those patterns and this one has most of them th-cam.com/video/2nLAyhRq2-I/w-d-xo.html ☺ I got the boxes off amazon, and the link to it is in the description of this video☺
Just a little FYI another crochet artists " made by manda mal" just encountered a customer disputed a charge and thankfully it was only $30 but still $30 to a small business owner is HUGE. Anywho the customer disputed the charge and was able to be fully refunded by MANDA and paypal could offer NO help as the issue was a card that contained a chip was SWIPED instead of using a device designed for an actual card reader. She WAS using the same square device as you. Might want to purchase the updated version of Square or reach out to her for further clarification. She made a video on it .....
I saw that!! I would like to get the new hardware now that I can afford it. However, I don't show in the video, but anytime I have a card charge it pulls up for them to sign with their signature so I don't have a single order by card that wasn't signed for by the customer. I think that might help incase they try to dispute it since it's been signed for, but I also would like the new equipment😂
@@reigningcharmz Do you have the highlands available online somewhere? I do not have the skills that would make one so cute so the pattern link is beyond me!🤣
This was a reallyyyyy big market that I had my eyes on for 3 years before I finally jumped in and did it! Would you do a market like this?☺️
Yes! ❤❤❤
How do you find your markets? Really curious because I want to sell my crochet items
Yes!
@@cookiegaming2883 I find most of mine on Facebook groups or from google searching markets in my area ☺️
I would even though your chonky dino is the cleanest plushie I’ve made so far!
