In Colorado some of the fishing rules are confusing too. “You can use live bait on this stretch of river, but not this one. However, you can use live bait on this stretch 6 days after a full moon, or 2 days, 7 hours before a new moon. Or, during leap years you can use live baits on every 31st day of the month as long as the barometric pressure is falling.”
I'm 57 and bait fishing my thing now knee's are toast so a lawn chair or anywhere I can be comfortable fishing at my honey hole is great for me lololol

To catch bait fish, the best thing I found is a tiny hook and just the tiniest piece of a slim jim. Like half of your pinky nail. The oil in the slim jim gets it coming like crazy and it is tough so you can catch multiple on one tiny piece.....

When i was younger, we used to use little black salamanders we called waterdogs,and the largies and striper would murder them. We used to just cast em out, leave a little slack and wouldn't take long for the line to go taught. My pb is on a 5-6in water dog Edit, kfc chicken skin is bluegill kryptonite
