I was never a Harley guy, until I was. I cannot say enough good things about my fatbob.
Yup, just got a 2021. It's incredible
@@Teknik_OveRride nice ! Congratulations! What color ?
I never cared much about Harley either but those Fat Bobs looks amazing. I will test drive one next month to see if I really like it. Sounds like no regrets from your side
@@christianbentz Got me a Fat Bob last month. Also my first Harley. Perfect for relaxed cruising. Perfect for throwing around. Just a brutal bike that puts a smile on my face everytime I open throttle.
Same hated my dyna street bob never thought I would get another and now I’m in love with my fat bob
Have owned about 40ish bikes and fat bob is in my top 5 as favorites I have had
Low rider s is one of the best platforms ever made by Harley.
Highly recommend it.
1 year 12000 miles 2020 FXLRS owner.
it is the most perfect motorcycle harley ever made. i can't find a bad angle or line on this thing anywhere that will look dated in the next 30 years. it's completely timeless.
@@Mike-jv8bv at 30000 miles now, still kicking, best bike I’ve ever owned.
Got a new street bob 2 months ago. Absolutely love it.
Do you still have it? How has the experience been during these two years?
Picked up a Street Bob a week ago. Partially due to availability (no new Fat Bobs in my area) and partially due to wanting the smaller speedo and tank. It also gave me enough wiggle room to do a Stage 2, cruise, and forwards, while still keeping thousands to do with as needed.
I do have Fat Bob Stage 2 with plenty other upgrades done. But you cant go wrong with any of these.
Lowrider S is the best bike Harley has made in a decade, best bike I've ever owned.
I just got mine. I totally agree. What a bike!!
I agree but I like the dyna low rider s better
What about the street glides and road glides. I’m still shopping.
@@cliftonw1365 their good too but I prefer the Dyna LowRider S because it a badass bike and pretty comfortable to ride long distance
I tried to like this bike but couldn’t. I felt way to big on it and the mid controls put my knees in my face.
I have the 2021 low rider s and 2021 street bob because I took them as payment for labor I did for the owner of my local Harley dealer. Street bob is in my opinion the better buy money wise, look wise, and modding wise. However if you are on the husky side gents, low rider will look badass so my father says since he rides the LRS. I’ve already done performance and comfort builds on the street bob and can say it works really well either way. Street bob all the way for anyone looking to make the bike their own but if you just want to ride and have pretty good off the lot parts than the low rider s is for you
U push me very well to buy a street bob
came off sports naked and now on a low rider s. If you are used to spirited riding the low rider s will serve you better. The dual discs in fornt is a must
Not really. Dual disk isn’t really necessary unless you’re pushing the bike real hard.
@@ProTuner06 this is literally what I said. I already scrapped frame on my fxlrs
New street Bob is perfect ! Best power/weight ratio, blank canvas to make upgrades, cheapest of the soft tails.
The least expensive Softail is the Softail Standard.
What I love about HD is the massive hardware, from the frame to the fork to the handlebars...so solid. Been to the factory and it doesn't;t disappoint....good one mate

Another great review, Bob. I am about to take the plunge for the 2022 FatBob and scouring TH-cam for all the reviews I can find to put my mind at rest for the large investment . Your reviews are definitely helping with that, thanks a stack. Keep ‘em coming!
My pleasure! Enjoy 👍🇺🇸🏍️
Fat Bob for me. No question. First time i saw that bike on youtube i fell in love. Then i saw 1 parked on a sidewalk in the streets of nyc about 2 months ago and now i really know 100% i must own one 1 day.
Hello Bob
Great reviews as always. The most retro looking of the Softails I think is the Slim. It looks more like 40s than 70s or 80s. I've just bought one, trading in my Speedmaster. It has spoke wheels; fat tyres; 19L tank; single front brake disc; "hollywood" bars (bit similar to beach bars like the Speedmaster); footboards; and is designed purely for solo riding with a single seat and no pillion pegs. Comes only with the 107 engine. It has the lowest seat height of all the range at 660mm, a wet weight of 305kg (light for a HD!) and list price is £16,495 in black, colours extra.
I've owned several Harleys in the past, Road King, Electra Glide, Sportsters, Springer Softail but after tasting a lot of other bikes for the last twenty or so years, I've come home. Best handling are the touring models, Softails used to be awful but starting with the 2018 models they redesigned the frame radically. It looks much the same but has way better ground clearance and also saved about 14kgs weight. As an old fart, the tourers are too heavy for me now which is why I went for a Softail.
I was very impressed with the slim. Not my style of bike but I certainly wouldn’t turn it down! Went with the low rider S due to mids and styling, but I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed that slim! Really nice bike!
My LRS with CR 483 cam and TBR Turnout exhaust 117 gets with the program. What a proper HD should look like. I have a '79 Superglide shovelhead, but the LRS blows it away in every category and equals it in looks. Just the sound of it is worth the price of admission. Very satisfied.
I own a Fat Bob, and I’m glad with it every time I’m on it.
I was surprised Harley discontinued the Fat Bob bike looks real nice and all its own style
Lowrider S 🙏🏼😎🔥
Waiting for my bike 4-25-22 now 5-15-22 ordered 4-6-22 enjoyed your presentation
I chose the fab bob..amazing ride quality..all three are pretty nice though!
Lowider S i love it!! Best investment I ever made! 🖤☠️🤘
Great content as usual!👍🏻
Glad to see you doing a Harley video!!
I decided to spend a few grand more and get a Road King Special. Best of both the Softail and Touring lines. Biggest cruiser with hard bags, better suspension, and holds more fuel so you can go further. Plus I’m 6’3” 250lbs and it fits me perfectly. 😎🤘🏻
I think I need to get myself on a proper Harley Tourer at some point! Always looked enticing to me... I think the Street Glide looks like it could be the one.
@@motobob You should definitely get on a Street Glide! I test rode a one when I picked out my bike. Super comfy and looks gorgeous. Especially in that new Snake Venom paint 🐍😎
PS: If you’re on the taller side like me the Road Glide will be a little more comfy since it’s a bit more stretched out😁
I test rode all of them.. The Road King was better than all of the touring models..
I watch a lot of bike videos and this one is fantastic. Well done!
I went for the LRS instead of fatbob only because it felt more like a cruiser specially after moving to forward controls is an amazing bike. Done a 2400miles journey last month and it behaved so well. 👌🏽
Hey Bob, My Rocket 3R Black should be arriving in Fowler’s any day now. You’re welcome to borrow it for a video.
Try it back to back with something like a Harley?
Or you could just enjoy your Rockett 3
@@mikeessary4925 Haha, right? Kinda like a cross fitter who has to make sure that everyone knows that he does crossfit. Can't just do cross fit and enjoy it, nope. 🙄🙄
@@thomass789 Great analogy!! Exactly 💯
I bought a Sport Glide. It looks stunning, has plenty of performance, handles well and is also versatile and comfortable. Of the three bikes you featured, I’d have the LRS.
I agree with you, the Sport Glide is definitely the best choice, it offers more & a great looker so would have loved to see it here MOTOBOB 🙂 soon I hope?
I had to chose between the LRS and the SportGlide, if the SG would've come with a 114 I would have picked that. That said, might trade in my LRS next year for a SG since I know now I want something more cruising-style. A SportGlide or Slim would be perfect I think. The LRS is a bit too uncomfortable for me now.
I knew it! The 1250 custom is the new Sportster and makes over 120hp out of slightly detuned 1250 revolution max but is supposed to make more torque. It will have Brembo brakes and suslension that doesn't need to be swapped right away. I don't think Indian expected there to be real competition for the Scout! I'm excited to see what Harley does with the new Sportster platform and the fact that it seems they finally realized they have to make sportier bikes, with premium suspension/brakes/tech for a lower price. The Pan America is priced competitively and the new Sportster is supposed to be priced in the same area as the Indian FTR/Scout. I am curious to see if they use the new platforms in softails and bagger platforms. The new Revolution max comes in several sizes from 500cc to 1250cc. I can see the 115hp 975cc and 150hp 1250cc motors making some really cool bikes that might save Harley.
It’s not detuned…. It’s tuned for more low end torque and not so much top end speed
Out of these three I’d buy the Fat Bob. Put a round headlight and cowl, mini apes, 22XD cam, S&S air cleaner, dunno what exhaust for that, legend suspension and maybe a seat. Lowrider S is probably a better bike but if I’m getting one of those it’s a Dyna🍻☘️
Love my 21 Lowrider S.
What's the difference with the 2017 low rider s only the 107 to 114?
7:19 correction required, it will definitely smoke any supernaked if you put a stage 4 on any of these. A cam on a Harley is enough to get these bikes right up there with the super nakeds
I love both Motorcycles
But I prefer a Lil' More the Low Rider😎
I recommend the Softail Slim. Aesthetic is more retro but ergonomic package does let you push it, the only other softail that beats its lean angle is the Fat Bob
Harley - Davidson Number 1.🌎🏍🇺🇸🦅
#Freedom.🗽❤
I love the fatbob, hate the price lol.
Agreed👍
This is where I'm at. I want one, but can't stomach the fact I could buy a Honda Civic for the same money.
I love your channel. Really don't get harley at all. Certainly not in the uk. I get it if you live on route 66 and in and out of pool bars but for the uk roads I'm afraid
Me neither. Plus the don’t nod or wave at non-HD bike riders. I wonder if they reserve that for other HD owners?
@@mattwilliams9758 That's b¨ll, I ride a HD and wave at everything that has 2 wheels
@@lapinobel …many bikes out yesterday… all sorts, including a training pool, but as ever the HDs (riding as a 3) ignored my nods of greeting. I’m sure you wave, I’ve just observed over time that HD folks don’t. Ride safe.
It's possible to ride a Harley and any other make of bike, even to drive a car!. Me, I wave at everything, lorry drivers, people walking their dogs, cyclists, even BMW riders.👋👋
Midnight Crimson and that Army Green. I'd replace those drag bars on the Fat Bob with some Z bars and add a large handle bar fairing. It would be great if you could replace the small tank on the Fat Bob with the 5 litre tank off the Low Rider. Mid controls as I'm 5'8.
If you ever feel like your job is futile, remember, there are people who get paid to install factory Harley handle bars.
Midnight Crimson🍻☘️
Lowrider S, that's why I bought one. But it came down to the tank size. But all three are really nice.
Could get a Street Bob and swap a LRS tank onto it will thousands to spare.
Love my 2018 Fat Bob 117 but if the lowrider s was available then I would have went with that
You do know those are Brembo brakes on all three bikes, right? And the Street Bob is much more nimble than the Low Rider S and Fat Bob. And the single disk on the front has plenty of stopping power duals just helps with brake fade.
Any of them are great.. Ig you go with the street Bob vs either of the other.. you’ll have money left over to upgrade the street Bob .. I had one. Loved it.. but traded in for lowrider st…
All would be fun bikes if they didn’t weight and cost so much. Start with $5k-$15k off MSRP (depending on model) just to be considered between other brands, and still buy the other brands.
Their dealers take a big chunk of the price. They should sell through carmax (bikemax).
I felt that way my whole life and all it got me was 30 years of owning bikes that weren’t what I really wanted. I finally splurged and spent the extra money, and I can’t believe I waited my whole life for my dream bike. It’s only money; you have one life. -Oh, and get a Sport Glide!
@@gburcaw I did consider the Fat Bob, but the power/handling wasn’t great and price is ridiculous. For the same price, I’d rather have the Rocket 3 GT.
Nothing like a Harley , I’ve ridden everything. And while yes over priced ….. still the funnest to ride with a group of friends.
All markets (in UE) are growing apart Sweden (-12%) and Bulgaria (-5%) versus the 2020. while Harley-Davidson is collapsing with sales down a huge 27.7% after the already bad 2020. so yes. H-D made a good decision to dump the sportsers and focus on the overpriced models.
Internet experts. HD was up Q1 21 in NA but they couldnt ship bikes assembled in NA to EU due to COVID restrictions its all in the financial reporting. They couldnt ship bikes therfore quoting 2021 EU sales figures is erroneous.
They didn't dump the Sportster (only in Europe for 1 year while they switch platforms) but they did revamp it. They are unveiling it to the public this week (July 13). The 2022 Sportster S is now a 1250cc liquid cooled 120hp weapon that will compete with the Indian FTR/Scout, and comes with legit Brembo brakes and good suspension. The new Revolution Max motors/bikes that are to come might be what saves Harley.
The Sportster came to the end of the line in Europe after being in continuous production since 1957. The new model is Sportster in name only, there is no similarity at all.
On those bikes Brembo still makes the brake calipers and pads they just come to an agreement with Harley that they’re allowed to have the Harley name on it.
Another great comparison vid motobob! Loved it 😁🤙🇦🇺
Low rider S with the revolution engine ❤️
With a massive radiator at the front for water cooling? Nah thanks... I like my 114 👌🏼
Out of the 3, Low Rider S for sure
They are all sweet
I'd buy that Lowrider S in a second if it was available in a finish like the discontinued Superglide. ie... not all blacked out and lots of chrome.
Hey…Watch Kruzi originals about the discussion of twin exterior rear shocks as opposed to mono shocks…
The Dyna type frame and rear shocks are way stiffer and keep the frame from twisting in hard fast turns…doesn’t matter to me… I ride a Triumph… but it’s worth noting…cheers
I have to agree with the peaple that are jumping in saying Fat Bob...
🤮

Out of those three.. which do you say would be a beginner bike? Or do you have another one you can suggest?
Hey there, I know you're very experienced but you know you have made a mistake, the Softail Street Bob 114 has 100.5 horsepower not 86 horsepower. I think you have got confused between the Street Bob 107 and Street Bob 114.
stock they're 86 for the 114 models. my 2020 fat bob 114 didn't break 100 hp until i went oem stage 2.
@@quasigentrified3990 Street Bob 114 has 86 wheel horsepower not crank, Fat Bob has 94 crank horsepower and 82 wheel horsepower
Sushi Edits. Who cares about the number? Put a cam in it and it’s the way it supposed to be.
👍 Lowrider S
I wish we had cool names for money, like “quid.”
A lot of people knock Harleys but you just plain won't find better fit & finish anywhere. Triumph is the closest and pretty comparable these days, but everything else out there just feels so PLASTIC.
Indian has some solid bikes too
@@sachan9081 they do, but not at the same level of fit/finish as Harley or Triumph in my opinion.
Cruise control, dual front brakes and tank size makes this an easy decision.
If you want that old rock&roll , chopper feeling , the feel that you are riding Harley Davidson go for a Street Bob . LRS is too tame, too soft , too predictable , feels like riding generic yamaha naked street bike . It doesn't have a soul . You can always upgrade fxbb if you want to go clubstyle route , fairing, step up seat, t-bars ,stage 2 .. damn you put better suspension on it and you allready outperformed LRS big time .
Fxbb will look good whatever path you choose to go to , clubstyle it will look great , classic bobber- great , beach bars on - great , it will always look good . Put some apes on a LRS and it looks like sh*t . You always have the same looking bike , all you can do is change a fairing..
Very good review. Thank you!
These baffle me. I see (and hear) a lot HDs, travelling in groups through the villages around my way. Never understood the appeal of these bikes in a UK context. Blasting down Route 66 in the California sunshine, just outside of Barstow… totally get that. Threading your way along greasy, cyclist filled, pot-holed B roads in the Mendip drizzle? Just don’t get it. A mate of mine from school always wanted a Trans-Am to drive around the traffic clogged estates of Bristol. I’m clearly missing something key with the whole concept of having a big old slice of pure Americana transposed into country where the roads are on a smaller scale. Still, that’s the glory of motorcycles… there’s one for everyone, whatever your tastes, and long may that last.
I feel exactly the same, but with non Harley bikes. These baffle me, i wouldn't consider anything else than a Harley.
@@MartinS-nq2bm …great isn’t it? There’s such a range of bike types that while you and I are at opposite ends of the spectrum on HD, we can still agree that bikes are the best way to see the world. Ride safe.
The Mendips are halfway between two Harley dealerships which, in normal times, have Cafés for meet-ups so that’s why lots of groups of them can be seen there. They also sell Ducatis for those that prefer Ferraris to Camaros. 😎
@@mattwilliams9758 Amen brother !
Nice review, have you reviewed the fatboy?
Fat Bob, in dark red and with some minimalist slipons . More to sort out the look of the stock cans which to me is the only weak part of this bike.
SPORTGLIDE FLSB FTW
Have a fat bob and street bob and hands down the fat bob wins. Street bob might have a slightly better look in my opinion but the fat bob handled better and rides better
Thanks for the vid! I noticed something on the left side handlebar @7:30, what is this device called?
Actually you should buy the Softail Slim
Single disc for a 300kg bike is just not acceptable!

For me the Heritage 114 is the best softail but for some reason it wasn't on this list.
Nice video dude 👌
Anyone try a Sport Glide? Is the single front brake sufficient for sportier riding? And how far can you lean before the forward pegs scrape?
Front brake is fine, you just need to use more rear brake than you would on a twin disc setup but that's OK, you soon get used to it. On the plus side are a lighter, more simple front end and of course it keeps the price down.
This guy doesn't understand breaks. Twin disc won't stop you any quicker, its designed for heat. Extended periods of heavy breaking.
Street bob 😜
Who can tell me what the cool looking little circle GPS / dash thing is on the left side of the bars at 7:25??
MOTOBOB on a StreetBob. Nice :)
The brake situation… not true that you getting better stopping power.. the street Bob will stop on a dime as well as the others…. It’s just in a heavy braking situation.. you have more ability for heat displacement on the duals
MOTOBOB when he was a kid: Street Bob
MOTOBOB when he'd grown up: Speed Bob
MOTOBOB when he's old: Fat Bob

For what it’s worth, I’m 26, I traded my 2019 Kawasaki ZX-6R for a HD Low Rider S. Couldn’t be happier, I will always have a Harley in my garage now, on paper that ZX-6R was all around the better bike, even the tech blew it out of the water. Don’t get me wrong, going 150 mph can be fun, yet here I am. 🤷🏻♂️
Judging a motorcycle merely by its horsepower is just wrong. These bikes, in my humble opinion, feel very special when compared to metrics. They have something no metric will ever achieve

Isn’t fatboy a Softail too?
Stomp on Rear Brake.... Noo. don't stomp on it
The brakes on the Fat Bob are Brembo.
None. I'll stick with my Triumph Thunderbird.
drawback of low rider is front footrest should be a bit frontal so that legs can be stretched for smoother posture like the one in fatbob ....2nd is I didn't like that 110 mm front tyre I mean common I don't want 150 tyre but atkeast would have put 130 ....that 110 front and 180 rear size i.mean so difference in size so that front tyre looks so skinny like a Guy belonging a country with absolutr food scarcity
As a bigger dude I'm not getting any model with fat in it bc the joke write itself.
