My New 3DS system's top screen messed up badly and I'm in need of transferring all of my data to a new (or rather pre-owned) system. So, based on what I've seen with your video, when the data is done being taken out of the old system, I can just use the same micro SD card from my old system, put it in the replacement system, and it'll be okay? I don't have to buy a new micro SD card?
If you do want to move everything over to a new microSD card, make sure you have a PC, and if there is no SD card reader, make sure to buy an SD/microSD reader adapter What you will do then is copy the data from your old SD card to your computer, and then insert the new microSD card you will be using and copy the data over

It definitely seems shorter, especially when the device is closed, with StreetPass tech on. In this situation, where the XL's larger screens aren't factoring in, the battery life gap seems far greater than when the system is in use for gaming.
I have a broken New 3ds xl that only has the bottom screen working and can control to the system settings. If I buy another New 3ds xl, can I still transfer data?

If i call nintendo support and have them do a remote transfer, then later have them do another remote transfer back, will i still have all my data from my original 3ds? (game save files)

The thing is my 20thAP N3ds has a bigger microsd card. should I do the transfer without the cards in both systems and the just place it in the new one? I can't find an answer to this question anywhere.
Other tutorials I've seen/read online don't suggest going to a smaller card. I don't know that it necessarily wouldn't work, or that it necessary will. I would contact Nintendo to make sure it won't corrupt your data or something before attempting.

I would suggest contacting Nintendo Support. Having your current system repaired may be your only option.
Yeah, I'm sorry but I don't know what to tell you. Try looking in your area or on CraigsList for a local repair shop. Sometimes they will take systems and diagnose them for cheap. They'd be able to give you a clearer idea of specifically what's wrong and if a repair will be costly or even possible.
Why am I even watching this video I’m _saving up_ for a new New 3DS XL lol The x button on my 3ds doesn’t work, I lost the stylus and no other stylus fits in the slot and two or three times both of the screens just turned black and then back to normal. And whenever I open 3DS Sound, when I exit out to the home menu my background changes to plain white (background is usually a Pokemon one) and then my downloaded software starts disappearing. Transferring save data from a new 3ds to a new 3ds xl is a lot quicker than Transferring save data from an old 3ds to a new 3ds

Yes just put the old card on your new 3ds after the prompts tells you to turn off both systems.

TheDbG33K It was water damaged but the system can still charge and it's dry, but it won't turn on
