He uses skin like everyone else as part of the tournament rules to get people to buy those skins. Faker only uses the alter old skins of champs with simple animations or chromas. So he kind of do and don't at the same time. He did explain why he uses only default skins because he is trained to recognised the look and animation of the characters he uses so he never loose track of where his champ is especially if it's in a team fight which in the pro league can change in lightning speeds, plus add his screen flicks can add difficulty.

I think the most underrated thing about Faker's play is his movement on the map and the fact that he dodges skillshots and attacks so well, there are moments where he does slight movements to dodge abilities and it blows my mind. It's kind of like Kobe Bryant and the fact that he's a master with his footwork. GOATS
