Kirton House Spiral Kitchen Mixer Tap from Aldi Supermarket costs just £40. How to replace your old kitchen tap with a modern Mixer tap that I bought from Aldi Supermarket
Thank you very much. I just bought this mixer tap :) Edit: i actually checked and i dont have connectors under my sink. I just have that copper pipes going straight to the mixer..
I have a tap that is identical to this but it’s leaking/spraying out from underneath where the metal arm from the spray tap meets the body of the tap. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks for your help
Is it an old tap? the rubber seals might need to be replaced. Rubber seals can be bought at plumbing shops. Do not tighten the seals too hard. Make sure to apply enough PTFE tape between the flexipipe and the pipe works.
@@maintenanceengineeringinsider thanks for the reply! We’ve just moved in so we’re not sure how old it is and I can’t find a way to open the tap up. I thought it might need a new seal or washer inside but can’t figure out how to open it up to check. Looks exactly the same as yours in this video and I can’t find instructions online
@@richy2k1Find the supply line, and close the valve . On the mixer knob of the tap, there is a cover that you need to pull off with a flat screwdriver. Beneath that, you will find a screw , removing that will help you to get to the seal of the mixer knob. Again unscrew the flexipipes to get to the seals under the tap. One for hot and one for cold water.
