    Cruisin’ around the Cabot Trail!
    There’s nothing more classic “Cape Breton Summer” than that. ⁣⁣

    For the next four days we will be hitting as many little shops, mountains, and eateries that we can around this world famous roadway in hopes to convince you that travelling counterclockwise is the best way to do it! We’re up against another team that’s trying to prove the opposite so give us some support if you agree!! (Spoiler - everyone wins of course..)

    Awesome video! You guys really know how to show the beauty of the Island! Thanks for showing some different things too along the Cabot Trail. Now that the Atlantic bubble has opened (we're from NB) we are planning our 3rd Cape Breton trip to explore the trail at the end of September.

    12:05 I'm from Nova Scotia. Born in Annapolis Royal. That's a really nice spot. An ex and I did the trail around thirty years ago and we were at that spot. We weren't getting along at the time, so I left her there.

      @daveyandsky  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Not sure which ones you’ve done so just going to tell you some of our favourites and you can star them on your google maps and once on the island just see which areas have the best fall colours from the road and decide to hike accordingly ☺️
      Salt Mountain, Whycocomagh
      Humes River Falls
      Franey Trail
      Mica Hill
      Tenerife
      Kauzmann
      Wilkies SugarLoaf
      Little Grassy, Meat Cove
      Roberts Mountain, Pleasant Bay
      MacIntosh Brook Falls
      Blueberry Mountain
      Salmon Pools
      Cape Mabou
      Egypt Falls
      Beaulach Ban Falls is gorgeous & you drive right up to it. But the Aspy trail right beside it is one not everyone does but is a stunning hike as well with the first part of the trail being all under these beautiful tree canopies and then at the end of the hike you look back at the mountain faults all dressed in fall colours.

    Cape Breton has so much to offer to locals as well as tourists and every part of the Island has a right to brag about it's beauty. Unfortunately, your video seems to have left out one of the most scenic and beautiful Trails of Cape Breton. I refer to the beautiful drive along the coast of route 19 from the causeway through to Margaree Forks. The awesome views of the ocean, the hills and dales of our Scottish ancestors, the 5 outstanding warm water beaches of Port Hood plus Mabou and of course Inverness beach and world famous golf courses. The museums such as the Chestico Museum in Port Hood, the music and arts festivals that dot this special part of the Island and the sincere welcome to all who travel this route is unmatched. Fishing harbors, deep sea fishing, agriculture land with rolling hills and vales, and the friendliest people in the world. Come visit this special piece of Cape Breton Island.....Your heart will never leave!

      Can't make em all happy eh haha! Check out our other videos.. we obviously love route 19 and actually lived in Judique the past few years, worked in mabou, and still call Inverness County home. Couldn't agree more with your words :) however this video was just on the Cabot Trail adventures we got up to. Thanks for your comment 👍

    Loved the video. Planning on going this summer. Did you use a tour guide for the Franey Moutain hike and sunrise? Thanks

    • @daveyandsky
      @daveyandsky  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you will not need a guide for Franey. Its a very well marked trail 😊

    Do arch cave (skylight cave) in baddeck if you want a challenge. Waterfall inside cave. Cave is about 500meters long in total.

    The video is so good. However, the thing which i didn’t like about it is that you guys didnt mention the names of the places you showed in this video. For e.g hotel 7:40 name and its price? Hotel after that and water fall and views from mountains names etc. i am planning to visit cape breton next week

    • @daveyandsky
      @daveyandsky  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you watch the video we say the names of the hotel and the waterfall. Prices can change its been a few years since this video but you can easily look this up.
