Thanks! I love the way his images are more like slides (with backlighting) and they display beautifully on my ipad. Really, this presentation is much better than prints. They become alive.
❤ Your curating skills are superb. That is also a very fine artistic skill that frequently goes unnoticed when well done. Truly, you brought him to life.
The jazz selection was perfect and only enhanced the pictures even more. I wanted to be there!

Hi David, thank you so much for your support, it means a lot to me! I'm also glad that the videos look nice on your iPad.
I appreciate your kind words about the image selection, I really enjoy picking out the best from these great photographers.
I'm happy that you also like jazz! Personally, it's one of my favorite genres, along with blues.
      Thanks again for your support!

I have a little book with photos of Brassai... In it he explains how he decided exposure for the night shots... He smoked cigarettes... One kind for a certain amount of light... And another kind of cigarette if the light was lower...

@@Joel_Ulises it's a very small book edited by Contrasto here in Italy, I believe the original is French...

Lovely video I saw a few pictures here that I've never seen before and the others were like old friends. Choice of music was perfect for this bygone era . Thanks a lot for your work on this. Jake E.

I suppose Brassai was easier to say than Gyula Halasz, but what an amazing photographer great vision and understanding of people. I was sad that you did not show the photo of Andre and Paulette, Paris 1949. Such and endearing photo of two youngsters who were born during the Occupation. You can only hope have had a happy life. Thanks for showing.

My man i WISH you'd focus more on the newer photographers. Yes these guys laid the foundations but the newer artists are SO MUCH BETTER. These older images are just plain boring vs. the new stuff. More recent photographers woukd be appreciated. Cheers

Hello Tim! Thanks for watching and commenting on your preference for videos about new photographers. I'll try to gradually upload material from the new artists. For now, on this channel, you can check out the videos I've made about contemporary photographers like Gregory Crewdson, Matt Stuart, Allan Schaller, Tatsuo Suzuki, Alec Soth, among other great talents that you can find if you search the playlists on this channel. Cheers!

You know, you could’ve just stated your request to see more recent work without disparaging that of older artists. For the record, many of us don’t consider it “boring” at all.
