When I started doing street photography as a teen in the late 60s, two artists were kind of my education; I gobbled up every book, every article, that I could find on them. Cartier-Bresson and Riboud. Thank you for reminding me of his brilliant eye.

The thing I enjoy the most is how open the world was when he did photography - he went to China & Iran probably without any issues anyone today might face. Video is well put together and I have to agree with others on your good selection of music.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Comments like yours motivate me to keep creating content that can be useful to everyone who enjoys this beautiful art!
Wonderful selection of photos. Marc Riboud holds a very special place in my appreciation for street and film photography. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Hey there! 🌟 Thanks a bunch for your awesome comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed the selection of Marc Riboud's photos. 📷 He truly has a unique talent that resonates with so many of us who love street and film photography. Your appreciation means a lot to me! 😊
Désolé je ne parle malheureusement pas anglais … Tout photographe qui aspire à améliorer son art se doit d’approfondir sa culture photographique. Vos vidéos en plus d’être d’excellentes qualités sont inspirantes . Merci pour votre magnifique travail Mr Ulises … Salutation du Québec
Riboud, another of my all time greats and inspirations! His images transport me to other times and places like few others. My iconic favorite of his has long been the one in China from the bus, where the scene is framed into segments. Great video!
Thank you for showing me the correct pronunciation. It's very challenging for me to master all the pronunciations of each language, even for artificial intelligence. I know it can be frustrating not to hear the correct pronunciation of your language, whether it's French, German, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, Italian, and so on. Thanks to everyone for your patience, and I'll consider making subtitles to avoid this kind of inconvenience.
I really like your series on the masters of photography.. great to look at and very informative… my only advice would be to pay more attention to the pronunciation of names, places, etc. It would really benefit the program… good luck !!
8:55 he looks like Gary Oldman the English actor. Your video is superb and this photography is sublime 👍🏼 I don’t think you could have chosen better music. The whole thing is very arresting.
I love your site, and am grateful to have such ready access to its materials. So the following comment is not meant to be churlish, no matter how it may sound. Please require your narrator to take the very few minutes necessary to look up the correct pronunciations of French and other foreign language words in this and possibly other videos of yours. The travesty of mispronunciations in this particular video really harms it; among other things, for some viewers these mistakes may call into question the soundness of the genuine erudition you present.
Thanks for commenting and for providing feedback on the pronunciation. Constructive comments are always appreciated and help me keep improving. Cheers!

My pleasure!
I like how all of his work was done with these types of cameras back then. No photoshop, or computers. Very nice. I like his work.
Hello Norma! Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
His eye for composition in selecting his subjects is amazing. More artist than street photographer in my opinion.
Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers!
I don't understand that comment.
Classic Magnum. One of my all-time favorite images in this collection. Great educational series.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks! That was superbly done. Very well curated and edited which is also a type of genius.

This is what inspires me , seeing Life and people living the deeper meaning in every moment ...and there is a poetry in these moments. Human poetry .

Ne vous inquiétez pas si vous ne connaissez pas l'anglais. J'apprécie vos aimables paroles, passez une bonne journée!
Le français est unversel tout comme l'espagnol. On ne s'excuse pas de ne pas parler le "globish".

Enjoyed seeing - yes pronunciation of French (even for an Englishman) distracts - Lyon - Lee-on

Hello Dave! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!
Tip regarding the French city Lyon: it's not pronounced as 'LI-on' (animal) but 'Li-On' (ON the table).
Thank you very much for the observation about the pronunciation, Cheers!

thanks for having a black border/background... too many go with white and it's too bright and annoying
My pleasure! Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
