    I'm actually farming for Vitalys crystals rn. Well, that and onyx. You need a ton of vitalys for potions, which I tend to think are useless EXCEPT for digging potions. One biome a day has been popping green chests from digging AND you get a second from your buddy. But it takes a lot of potions to find which biome and then take advantage of it, and I'm using up my dreamlight like crazy.
    I'm also trying to build up a stock to make mining potions for building up inventory when we get zircon and alexandrite, thus the onyx.

    So, im keeping my Iron Route. Starting in Glades, then Forest and then Frosted Heights to reach the Respawntimer. With that i"ve always got good results and almost no wasted time. When i transport to Glades i often see the Mining Spots respawn right on time :) And dont forget your mining Buddy! PS. Thanks for taking your time to do this!

      Yeah that's why I'm really lacking rubies and sapphires because I hate mining that vatalis stuff I'm not gonna use - and also the mines give me motion sickness lol. Question for you veterans because I only started playing a month ago: what was Kristoff's stall like before it got nerfed? Could you just buy an infinite amount of anything??

    • @jenmostly8142
      @jenmostly8142 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Nirax3 You could only buy unlimited softwood, sand, snow, coal, fabric, rope, brick and glass. The top row was the same daily with the softwood, sand and coal if I remember right, and the bottom row switched between the other things. We never had iron, gold or other wood, that is new but now everything we used to get unlimited has limits with the addition of the iron, gold etc.

    It's really important to mine every day, even if it's only for an hour or so. I found that out when I finally ran low on iron ore and coal.
    If you run out of coal, you won't be able to cook, which means you can't cook meals. Without meals, you can't have that yellow bar of energy, so you'll move slower.
    I agree about the potions for the pickaxe, fishing rod and watering can. It just takes too long to collect enough materials to make the potions.
    If I could get more materials and NOT gems, I'd care more about the pickaxe potion...lol.

    I honestly thought Forest would come first for Iron, but second isn't bad. Given its high drop rate of coal, that looks like the place to mine, since coal is used for so many things.

    I wish we could move the rocks in each biome. Not to change the biome altogether, just adjust the wall location in each area. It would make decorating easier

    I've been testing it out myself and knew which would probably be the best biomes for mining iron and gold but the spreadsheet was so well made! Great data on the gems and coal which I hardly notice sometimes which biome gives you the most.
    The mines for me are still a constant stop for vitals crystals, the best potion is the digging potion and I go thru that constantly for pebbles to make paths and clay to turn bricks for fences, also snowballs in Frosted heights.
    great video! hope you do get unique items, I've been also having repeats on the pouches/bags

  • @mldesou
    @mldesou ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow, those furniture pouches did you dirty. 😦 I knew Glade of Trust would come out on top for iron! I spend my life in Glade of Trust grinding for iron to make lamp posts to light up my biomes. I feel like the only worthwhile vitalis crafting potion (I've tried them all) is the most expensive one for the shovel. If you apply it to your shovel and have a digging buddy with you on dazzle beach, it rains good amounts of sand and stone to make it easier to make stone path more quickly.
    Thank you so much for all of the hard work it took in organizing this info for us. It will definitely help me save time in getting the resources I need. I know this will be super helpful for people just starting the game about which biomes they'll probably want to unlock first too!

    I don't think the Vitalist Crystals are useless. I use them sometimes to craft potions for digging to get more pebbles and snow (by the way, the only potion I think it's useful). But I have to agree that it's horrible to mine there.

    Thanks so much for your work on this. It is very helpful. My route is the mines, Glade & Forest. I need iron! So Glade & Forest are my go-tos to get it. At this point, I am selling off gold nuggets as it has fairly limited crafting uses. (Have 3 stacks of gold bars in storage in case I need them for something...) The only reason I hit the mines is because I am trying to complete all the Dreamlight tasks. I am down to just needing sapphires to complete all the mining tasks.

    This is interesting as it goes totally against what I've seen in my own game. Which leads me to believe that this is not consistent for everyone. I never get crystals anywhere but the Forgotten Lands and certainly not in the mines. I usually only get one or two crystals from the spots there. In the Mine I get a variety of items including iron. It varies each trip there what I get. Glad of Trust and Forest of Valor have actually been the same for me in terms of Iron. I have actually gotten up to five pieces of iron from one spot in both places.

  • @belara2218

    The best use for the crystals from vitalis mine is to craft the super potions for digging. If you decorate a lot and need a lot of bricks (like I do xD) you will use them quite often to get clay. Best to dig I found is glade of trust, getting about 50 clay with buddy (I have 4 for digging) per potion. Also using them to get snow. Could just dig whole ground, but it's actually faster to get the 25 crystals for one potion and then make some digs.

    Why does topaz (and sapphire in the mines) have such a low drop rate, it is only found in the plaza where all the other gems (except diamonds, rubies and sapphires) are in two biomes. But even FH drops a lot of diamonds compared to topaz.

    I guess for everyone it's different bc frosted heights I always get at least 2 gems with every run. Glade of trust as well. Since I have finished all the quests tbh there are few that I don't get at least 2 gems if not from everyone. I've had to get several chests just to keep all my gems. I get the most stones from Dazzle Beach, plaza, forest and meadows tbh.

      I'm not sure where you are from in the world, but no one where I am from leaves the 'r' in 'iron' silent. Quite the contrary, it's actually pronounced with a pretty hard hitting 'r' sound. Before you correct people, make sure you are educated in the fact that there are other pronunciations around the world based on dialect. For example, even though the RP dialect in the UK refers to the dropped 'r' like you are referencing, most people in other parts of the UK, and world, still pronounce it as a hard 'r''.
