Excellent well done, just proves if you take care of your nitro vehicles you can always get them running again, even after a couple years :). Congrats on 50k :)
lol, beating the hell out of them while having fun running them, isn't the same thing as being abusive to them, YES he uses them to the maximum of destruction... that however has nothing to do with not taking care of them, if you watch... he beats them up, then he takes them apart and takes the time to clean them and rebuild properly, which Is what my statement was pointing to.. on Nitro Rc if you beat them up..u can still put them away in proper stored condition... using after run oils, cleaning...etc.. allows you to pull them out years later and they will run like the day they were new

I miss my old nitro Savage, of all the RC stuff I've owned in 20 years that I've been in the hobby that was the most fun by far.
Aren’t you supposed to drain all the fuel out of nitros after every use to prevent this.

Dont feel bad about parts for savages Kevin, they are just as hard to come by in the states here to. I know ripmax bought out hpi but that was a while ago already. you would have thought they had enough time to get everything sorted out by now and started getting more parts to suppliers.

I have the cotter pin tank, Easy to remove and I rinse with Denatured alcohol. Prop cap and air dry.

One easy way to fix a gummed up engine is to take about the glow plug, and spray some wd40 in the mouth of the carb and in the glow plug hole!

Very seldom will you need to take your carb apart. In fact, the only time I've ever had to take any of mine apart (and I own over 60 of them) is when there is an issue with a part that needs to be replaced (slide valve scored or something)
Next, man, your engine was flooded AF. You just didn't know it. ha ha. Especially after blowing the fuel in there I could also tell by the way the roto-start was turning: *flooded* mate. :-) Enjoyed the vid though...good stuff
Nice, though whenever you start a nitro engine, make sure to pull out the glow plug heater, as to not burn out the element.

Hey mate, just subscribed to your Channel, very entertaining.
I have a savage Xl k5.9 and it's not run properly since I bought it. I put it down to a factory defect in the engine and I think I'm going to get an LRP zr3w (maybe an X).
I only need it to perform as it should with the k5.9 only much more reliable.
I was wondering about the tank you're using, what it's called and how I make it fit?
Also are there any other tips?
I don't need to go crazy upgrading shocks, gearbox etc, I just want it to run and perhaps have a decent sized tank. :)
Cool vid kev, you could do with 17 Mm nuts tho get rid of them tiny stock ones. Rc8t ones work on my flux with extended axels.

You want to be using 20% fuel more of a race brand Less oil ,
You should flush out all of the old fuel before putting it on the back burner ,
And a few drips of after run oil .
Kev you should try a different fuel ratio
Hi, I wouldn't use 16% nitro because in an 28-Motor a 25% nitro will run much better and the engine would have more power

You should try to make an RC car gas powered and electric so if you want to run it on gas then you can and same thing with electric.

I have a question about my nitro rc I had an old on I got started after years of not using and it idled fine for a min but the second I gave it any throttle it went full throttle and I made sure everything was tuned right so when I disconnected the fuel line it stopped but when I started it agian it was at full throttle and not going anywhere and I could see at the connection to the motor starting to get hot and smoking... got any ideas??

My nitro wouldn't start because of a small air leak. That usually the first thing I check.

Use 25% nitro bro not 16% you’ll get more speed and it will be better for that engine cuz of how big it is
