Sweet dude. Awesome video. Ive been wondering what the motion sensor could do. I’m a new bee. Just got my caseta bundle and have to 4 pole install this week. Little nervous. Wonder if there are forums for Lurton people. I think I’m hooked.

I have a situation. My front door coach lights already come on at 25% brightness at dusk and off at dawn at with caseta decora switch. I want to use a motion sensor outside to ramp them up to 100% then drop back to 25% without affecting the on/off times. In other words, I like the soft light on my front patio but would like it brighter for amazon deliveries, coming home, etc, but then stay on soft the rest of the night automatically. Will these do that?

Great video! Ty . I have a question, does this require the Lutron bridge?

Ya at 11:30 i pair without a hub.. you gain sunset/sunrise feature and 1 minute timeout (for laundry rooms) features with the hub.. but otherwise yes it works without a hub just fine

Hi what type of light bulb do I need to get to work with this motion sensor? Thank You! :)

See lutron led bulb approved list.. fyi.. You need at least to things however, the sensor and a in wall switch and/or a lamp outlet (to control the light)
      A hub is optional

I have an issue: it detects and turn on the light ( i have the same set up with a caseta plus in switch) but the lights will stay on when there is nobody in the room?? Why is that?? It suppose to shi off by it self after 15 misn can you help?

Check your unit. Some are "only on" or "occupancy" sensors. The others are "occupancy AND vacancy" sensors. Maybe you got occupancy only.

Also make sure its programmed correctly.. are you using a hub? If so, is the switch and sensor both connected you should be able to see them in app and program them
If not using hub? Maybe try factory resetting both the switch and sensor and reconnect/program them together again as well as any other devices

Is it possible to set this motion sensor to only turn on lights during certain times of the day?

Good question, I dont believe so but i can play around with it tomorrow and get back to you on that...

So i had a chance to look at this and i do not see any way to do this as of now.. i think it would be really easy for them if they wanted to however, they could add it under timeclocks and instead of setting up the lights it would be great if they would add disable/enable feature for the motion sensor.. seems like an easy fix they probably will never give us unless theres enough demand
I think thats why they updated us to 75 devices..
With that said i learned the home assistant hub and app can receive commands from pico remotes and you can set triggers for other stuff, really opens up the IFTTT technology, was talking to someone that said they have the pico turn on/off the tv and use the raise lower as volume buttons
Looks kind of complicated for the average person tho but maybe something to look into because it should do the same thing for the occupancy sensor id imagine.. which means you could probably set up a more sophisticated IFTTT such as what your asking for with timers

Just an update, There was an update i think January 11th.. they have added this feature now you can customize the hours for when the auto off and auto on work. They can be programmed for different times as well

Does that sensor integrate with Apple Home Kit?

    • @reviewdailylife3490
      @reviewdailylife3490  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I haven’t really used homekit, i need to get a apple hub.. without a hub i only see switches.. however i know that if you get a apple hub you can use Eve with homekit and the picos will appear (to program) so i could only imagine the motion sensor would too..
It wont be anytime soon but i will come back and try to answer this question better in the future.
