I learned about Arduino (AVR Microcontroller) and VB Net when I was in college. The rest I learn by reading books, I can't recommend the books I read because books use my language (Indonesian language). Besides that I also read from various online forums, such as forum.arduino.cc/, www.vbforums.com/, social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/home?Forum=vbgeneral, stackoverflow.com/ and others.

I have tried this application on more than 2000 rows and this application is fine. In more than 2000 rows this application consumed 15MB of RAM and 11.2% of the CPU (on my computer). From some of the sources that I read, in your case maybe the RAM you have cannot hold more than 1000 rows. You may also look for other sources for more definitive answers.
I think maybe your problem is in the DataGridView. My suggestion is that you have to save data in the DataGridView before it reaches 1000 rows or exactly before the application crashes, then you empty the DataGridView to reload the new data. You can do it automatically or manually.

saya udah 2 kali pakai tutorial abg untuk arduino. yang pertama ok lah saya pakai integer semua nya, dan data di kirim dari aktif. artinya tidak ada kolom yang kosong atau bernilai NULL. sekarang beda lagi, saya pakai integer di kolom 1 dan string di kolom ke 2 nya. dan nilai di kirim per 150 detik. artinya ada nilai NULL pada kolom nilai dan keterangan sebelum dia kirim kirim data di 150 detik pertama. dan akibat nya error saat save ke excel nya. gimana cara ngatasi nya bg. di tunggu balasannya

Until now I have never tried anything like that. But in theory, of course you can, you can use wireless communication with the sender and receiver.

Congrats for your project.
In my simulation, the program presents one error on the Excel subroutine.
On the "Save to MS Excel" button the subroutine has some problems.
When we run the program, in Excel sub routine print:
" System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: ' Invalid Index.
(Exception of HRESULT: 0x8002000B (DISP_E_BADINDEX))' "
This occured in the "xlWokSheet" line, next to lines of xlApp and xlWorkBook variables.

May I know which version of Microsoft Excel Object Library and version of Microsoft Office Object Library are you using? and also which version of Microsoft Office are you using?
@@utehstr Hi Uteh Str. The softs are MS Excel v2202(Microsoft 365) and MS Visual Studio 2022. The libraries versions are Microsoft Excel 16.0 Obj Lib(v1.9) and Microsoft Office 16.0 Obj Lib(v2.8). Thks
@@MrFabiopcardoso Maybe that's the problem, the method of saving to an excel file in VB code, I only tried it on MS Office/Excel 2003/2007. I don't have Microsoft 365 to try it out. Maybe you can ask about this on the VB Net forums. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Arduino uses an ATmega microcontroller. It's the same thing really, but PIC are usually harder to code
@@patrickthomas9022 I don't know much about PIC microcontrollers and I haven't used it either, but in the meantime using serial communication (rs232) it should be able to work with this project.

Have you chosen the right port? Make sure the baud rate in the arduino code is the same as the baud rate in the visual studio application.
@@utehstr ya sir..i already choose the right port..mine is from COM5 Arduino mega and baud rate 9600 same as the arduino..i change the name variable from "LDR_1" to "t" because follow my project requirement using DHT22 to detect temperature,humidity and temp in Fahrenheit unit..output at waiting only shows the "T=" but data from arduino can't display..when i recording also no data and only shows date and time..where should i change sir..i already try many times
