And if you were the one person that a screen could have been performed to detect cancer and wasn't, I'd also bet you'd think differently. I was about the patient’s age the last time I had a thorough physical like this. It seems that doctors are afraid of touching their patients out of fear of a lawsuit or something. I personally have no problem with doctors having to touch me during examinations or procedures. They are professionals. What the doctor did in this video was no different than what a mechanic would do with a car by lifting the hood and putting it on the hoist to make sure everything is safe and in running condition. If anyone runs into a doctor who’s this thorough during a physical examination; hold onto him. That’s good old fashioned medicine. …and yes the doctor and the patient were really cute.
This does not happen anymore. Doctors rarely touch you. They sit at a computer screen and type as they ask you questions. I have not had a check up like this is many many years. What happened to doctors. They rarely look at your body. The order some blood work and that is suppose tell they everything. A long time ago I had a doctor for many years that did exactly this about once a years with me. He was wonderful and so understanding like a friend yet very professional. Since I moved to western Michigan I have gone through 4 doctors, maybe 5 , they come and. I got a nice guy now but not old school, he types and his as good listener. I have had some issues and he is trying to address them. I hope he stays.
Law suites ! That's partly what happened and greed ! Technically a few years ago we were required to always have a nurse in the room with the patient more as a witness then assistant. This was to protect all involved for exams or procedures. This exam was by no means complete but well done for as far as it went. Bedside manner has gone out the window in today's world too for the most part! Nothing is like it used to be! 🤥

With change, some good some bad.
I did this same head to toe assessment for one of my assignments while working on my bachelors of nursing. I had a friend/coworker as my patient. I was already accustomed to it for the most part since I was working as a nurse at the time. I never used it for our scouts though.

Physicals are still a thing? You have to request an appointment for it, but doctors absolutely still do it if you ask
