I've tried the King Author Kipper snacks. The herring has a salty, smokey flavor. I like that you cooked some eggs 🍳🍳🍳🍳 and made it your breakfast meal. I would eat them with some rice 🍚 and eggs 🍳🍳.
@@SardineExpeditionThe simplest food can be delicious. The over easy eggs 🍳🍳🍳🍳 with the kipper snacks and rice 🍚 would be a delicious combination. I like to eat over easy eggs with rice because of the runny egg yolk. I like that you pointed out the kipper snacks taste similar to bacon since they're both salty and smokey. These kipper snacks are a healthier alternative to bacon 🥓. I'm going to eat this for breakfast when I get a chance to pickup these kipper snacks at my local grocery store. Thanks Heather for the review and it's always great to see Winston enjoy the food as well.

nice! there's a malaysian-indonesian sandwich that Sandwiches of History got me interested a couple days ago, called roti sardin goreng--conventionally made with no-herb/etc tomato pilchards, cooked omelette-y in with chilies and herbs and stuff, then between bread + battered and fried. from there i found hundreds of amazing-looking small variations with just the bread and breading. something tells me tomato+tin broth-marinated kippers might be something worth trying with it for something different, if i do end up loving and getting comfortable with the standard model. thanks for the vids.

@@erager73 Thank you!! The coffee was so good with it!! I haven’t seen the beach cliff one yet. Might try it just for the heck of it if I come across it! 😁😁
That looks delicious ! I will definitly be trying that soon ! Polar smoked herring fillets with peppers in brine are excellent if you can find them ! Thanks for sharing the recipe with eggs !
You’re welcome!! I’ll keep an eye out for those! That sounds right up my alley!
Great video. I am definitely going to give this a try .
Woohooo! Thanks, Michael!
Your channel popping up verifies my laptop cam is watching me eat. Lol. I love King Oscar Sardines but would be scared to try Kipper snacks, ha. You got me to go buy 5 different types of Sardines last night that I always refused to try. So far the Chicken of the Sea Mediterranean are really good just like you said. Ty!
My dad is 89 and I think he got a couple of us kids into Sardines back in the day.
Hahaha watching you eat!! It’s wild what our phones and laptops know!! Why are you afraid to try kipper snacks? They are super mild with a decent amount of smoky taste! I think you should give one a try! I’m happy you are trying some new sardines and hats off to your dad!!! ☺️☺️☺️
I never thought of these as a breakfast food, but yea it sounds good!
I hope you give it a try soon!!!😊😊😊
I like your style.
Thank you, Bert!
Only tried kipper sandwiches 😢
I'm having some for breakfast tomorrow. 😋
Winston is eyeing your plate at the end😂
Heck yeah!! Let me know if you like it!
Bacon takes a backseat to nothing. There's no greater reward for effort put out then a plate of hot crispy bacon. It's magical stuff.
Amen!
Im a bacon fan too 😁😁😁 This was just really good and easy. 😊
@@SardineExpedition Hmmm, scrambled eggs with peppers, onions & tinned fish?
@@revolvermaster4939 I think that sounds good, although I haven’t tried it yet!
@ me neither
Great review as always! I appreciate your showing the ingredients. I love the Polar Kippur Snacks, German fish at its finest. They are excellent, and they have no weird chemical additives (I love King Oscar, but no one needs sodium phosphate, etc., completely unnecessary and unhealthy). Also, I love your background music! In all the years I have been eating kippur snacks, I have never heated them, and never had them with eggs. On my to-do list! Love your channel. 💖🐟
Awesome, John!! I’m excited for you to try it!!! Yeah-what’s with the sodium phosphate?? I’m glad you like the music!!! Trying to go with a chill, relaxing-ish vibe 😁😁🤩🤩
Crown Prince Kipper Snacks are awesome! Gotta try this brand.
I believe I have a can to try! Glad to hear they are good!
That was my father's Saturday morning breakfast. Kippers, eggs, fried peppers and tomato.
Fried peppers with it would’ve been epic!!!
I've tried the King Author Kipper snacks. The herring has a salty, smokey flavor. I like that you cooked some eggs 🍳🍳🍳🍳 and made it your breakfast meal. I would eat them with some rice 🍚 and eggs 🍳🍳.
Your meals always sound so good!!! I love most anything with a good smoke! It’s the way to my heart lol. Thanks again for watching, Nejo!😊😊😊
@nejo4664 I’m with you on the runny eggs!! I over cooked mine a bit-not used to trying to take video so it had me off my game haha. The runny egg with the rice would be so good. With some hot sauce!!!😁😁
@@SardineExpeditionI understand it can be hard recording with one hand and cooking with your other hand. Depending how I feel, I either get my eggs scrambled, as an omelette or over easy, when eating breakfast.
@ I’ll get better with practice!! 😁😁
I love kipper snacks, but I never tried to fry them. I'll give it a try!
@@weekenddistractions Awesome! Let me know if you like them fried!!!😁😁😁
Ace Rimmer approves this breakfast.
King oscar and polar brands are my favorites
It’s good stuff! Thanks, Mark!
I like KO kippers but never heated them. I quite often scramble eggs with a can of mackerel filets. Looking forward to kippers and eggs. I’m enjoying your channel.
Thanks, Indy! I’ve always been lazy and just eat them out of the can cold, but this opened up a whole new world! I hope you try them warm! 😊
That looks and sounds awesome. Just woke up and I know what I'm having for Breakfast..After all it's Winston approved.
Hahaha his stamp of approval!!! Have an awesome breakfast, Joe!!😊😊😋

wow and yeah boston dynamics also use steel parts maybe from recycled sardines can beside robofish
Well, thank you for that! Tomorrow's breakfast!
Thanks, Edward! I hope you love it too!! 😊😊
I love kipper snacks. I eat them as a sandwich a lot for lunch. I love the polar herring and hot tomato sauce too. I like to eat it with mashed potatoes. I love canned herring in general I suppose. I've never had it fresh though. I think I'll make some "Fish Bacon" for breakfast. I will have to try out the King Oscar sometime, I've always had the polar. 😋
All the ways you eat it sounds really good! Let me know if you try the “bacon” or the KO! Thanks so much for watching!!😊😊
I've only had Polar.Been eating them for years.Usually with scrambled eggs or in an omelet with tomatoes and onion. Doesn't give you kissing breath but it's worth it!😉
Haha 😆 I do want to try with scrambled eggs too!! Eggs are basically my 2nd favorite food!
nice! there's a malaysian-indonesian sandwich that Sandwiches of History got me interested a couple days ago, called roti sardin goreng--conventionally made with no-herb/etc tomato pilchards, cooked omelette-y in with chilies and herbs and stuff, then between bread + battered and fried. from there i found hundreds of amazing-looking small variations with just the bread and breading. something tells me tomato+tin broth-marinated kippers might be something worth trying with it for something different, if i do end up loving and getting comfortable with the standard model. thanks for the vids.
@@sweeterthananything that sandwich of history channel popped up for me recently! I’ll have to check it out! Chilies herbs battered fried? Sign me up 🤩

Sardines in mustard with nacho cheese Doritos. Best!
Holy crap that sounds really really good!!!
I don't like sardines only because of the bones. But I always have 8 or more cans of kippered herring in my pantry. I love them. And I keep a couple of cans of anchovies around, too.
Nice!!! Do you like boneless skinless sardines or nah? 😃
@@SardineExpedition Never had them. I'm sure I would like them, because the bones are the turn off for me. Skin is fine.
@morrismonet3554 most boneless skinless taste similar to tuna.
You made me hungry....!!.....I do the same with 5 eggs + the "MW Polar Smoked Herring in Vegetable Flavored Oil".......Those herrings are the best for $34.00/12 pack....6.7 oz each can.......The best of all are "Ruegenfisch Smoked Herring Fillets, 6.7-Ounce Tins"............Stay warm.......😘😍
I’ll have to look that one up! I got hungry again editing it 😆😆😆 So Reugenfisch is the brand?
@@SardineExpedition Just copy & paste the following name: "MW Polar Smoked Herring in Vegetable Flavored Oil, 6.7 Ounce (Pack of 12)".....The original brand is Ruegenfisch, once a while AMZ has them but a lot more expensive........Just a little trade secret: the above Polar are made by Ruegenfisch, in the same packing plant, just under the label "Polar"....I did compare both at the same time, they are the same, just a different label...........Made in Germany, with herrings from the Baltic Sea and the North Sea......😘😍
@Pielededrac found it!! And interesting info! I wish I could try a single can!
King Oscar remains king overall in terms of quality, amount, and flavor, just a tad on the more expensive side but many times worth it.
It was only about 0.50 more than the polars. I’d do either but I really loved the KO!
For the price, you cant go wrong with Polar kippers. You should review Beach Cliff kipper snacks in a future video.
I don’t that I’ve seen that! It’s on my list now though! 😊😊Thanks for watching!
The first kipper tin I ever tried was from Brunswick. They were just too salty for me. I switched to the KO which I liked much more. 👍
I’ve never tried heating them. I usually head for my tinned fish when I don’t feel like cooking. Looked very good though.
I agree that they aren’t salty! You’ve got to fry one up. It really did bring out the flavor. I loved it!
OK, I haven’t tried oysters in a can yet but I’m definitely gonna try the King Arthur and egg combo that looks soo good. Great video.✌🏻

Fun video! 🤗 I was just thinking of you because I needed to order something non-food related on Amazon and I needed to get my cart total up to $35 to qualify for free shipping so I ordered some sardines to try! Based on one of your previous video recommendations I got:
Brunswick Wild Caught Gourmet Brisling Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive
Brunswick Wild Caught Gourmet Brisling Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Mediterranean Style
and also
Brunswick Golden Smoked Herring Fillets
King Oscar Mackerel in Olive Oil Skinless & Boneless, Wild Caught
Hi John!!! Thank you so much!! Those are great choices!! I have the Mediterranean one to review. You should save it and eat it with me! 😁😁 Appreciate you watching and hope you love them! It’s nice the Brunswick has single cans on Amazon instead of a 12 pack. 😁

I used those instant espresso grounds in the video and I add vanilla syrup and a splash of heavy cream😁. How do you usually make your eggs with sardines?
@@SardineExpedition I pour some of the olive oil from the can into a warm frying pan, then I mash up the Sardines in some scrambled eggs and fry it it up in the pan. Sometimes I sauté some onions in the pan first, I have heard it called a fishermans breakfast.

Q: Have you tried Wild Planet sardines?
Thank you!!!😊 😊😊. I have reviewed the wild planet, but I have a few more varieties of their sardines to try still!
Wow, that looks mouth watering You're becoming quite the master chef of sardines! You seriously need some sponsors. I'm thinking all sardine manufactures would love to have sardines "marketed" this way. The usual "cold dead headless fish" line doesn't exactly inspire new purchases. 😊
Thanks, Johnny!! I’m trying to branch out and share more! I am not super creative in the kitchen, but it can spark ideas and make sardines more fun. My brain is going 24/7 thinking of ideas and getting inspired by you all. 😊😊😊
May I recommend trying the Appel brand Hering in Eier-Senf-Creme (Herring in Egg-Mustard-Creme)? These are not just good, but so good I'd serve them at a dinner party over a bed of rice. The wondrous world of tinned fish!

You take Eli Terry sized bites! Your choice of condiments is also commendable. Bueno!
😂😂😂. I tell myself to take smaller bites but it just doesn’t happen!
I like the King Oscar ones too, but I eat so many that I just can't justify the 33% extra that they cost around here, over the Polar brand. Gonna be eatin' even more of 'em if I don't quit seein' all these interesting things that you're putting on display. LOL
Hahaha sorry about that! 😆😆😆. The polars are great and do the job just fine too! Always paying a bit more for the KOs but they did seem just a little more special in this combo!! 😊😊😊
