Just found your video surfing the Tube. Finding a campfire still smoking is so upsetting anywhere. We find them a lot. Put your damn fire out. Great video by the way
Grumpy, another great video. Thanks for taking us up to the woods yet again. I really needed to mentally get away and you did all the work. No scenic views at this site but it looked cozy with the creek. I can’t believe the fire was still smoldering when you arrived. And with all that water just steps away. Looking forward to your next trip. And get some sun on those pale legs brother! Take care, Noah. -JOSH
It’s always a good day when I wake up to a YT notification saying there’s a new GG video out!! Beautiful spot! I’m eternally envious at having endless pick-your-own camping spots in some of the most spectacular scenery imaginable. For me around here, it’s pay $60 a night to be squashed in between a 100 RVs… Btw love that Dometic. It’s the best. One thing that I found incredibly helpful was adding a 3’ silicone tube to it to give me a bit more usability with the faucet. If it helps, the 1/4” /6mm ID silicone tube is the correct size. I got it on Amazon and it’s vastly improved the usability of it. Love the video as always Noah!!!
I am certainly lucky to live here Tom, I feel for you brother having no good place to go that's close. Great idea about the tubing, I just ordered some.
@@TheGrumpyGobbler I suppose busy provincial parks are better than nothing. Just means I need to do at least one good road trip a year. 😊 Good call on the tubing.makes a big difference. Cheers!🍻
Another wonderful and soothing video Noah. The campsite looked amazing to me especially with the water stream around. Yes, got myself the Dometic with faucet from REI sale too. I always wondered how you do the prep work before you head out for the camping. Might be interesting to watch. Plus how to find good campsites will help for newbies. Looking forward to your next video soon.
Was certainly a good deal from REI. Not a bad idea showing how I prep. Because my 4Runner is not my daily driver, I actually try to keep most things in it at all times to keep prep time low.
Nice video! You seem to be getting more comfortable speaking to the audience which is more engaging. We landed in a spot in Pike NF for a 1-nighter this weekend and saw your rig at the Snowpack on Sunday. Great pizza and suds (a good bourbon selection, too) Keep em coming! 🎥
Glad you liked it. I always feel strange talking to the camera as I just ramble and don't make too much sense sometimes, but thanks for noticing that I am getting more comfortable. Hope you had a nice spot in Pike. Yes, love Snowpack...maybe a little too much. If you ever see me there, feel free to come and say hi. Were you in a built up Lexus by chance?
@@TheGrumpyGobbler will do! Negative on the Lexus. Left the dusty 4R at home in favor of the acceleration of the Tesla needed to turn left out of KV and left out of Snowpack on a summer Sunday.
Noah, The Grumpy Gobbler and Smokey The Bear. It's so disturbing and difficult to understand how the campers before you could leave a hot fire pit when there was a creek only twenty feet away. People... Nice video and thanks for sharing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Noah! Great video. I was just up there last weekend, up at the top area. Wonderful place but getting popular. Very peaceful and i don't think life gets any better. I can't believe someone left the fire smoldering! Especially right next to the creek! Thankfully you came along. Take care and thanks!
Hey Darren, glad you liked the video. I am concerned that it's getting more popular up there, I see more and more people every time I go. Hopefully it doesn't get like Geneva. I think I'm going up tomorrow (Friday). I might even stay Saturday as well. Take care and happy camping
Thanks for the video my friend! Next weekend I’m checking out the Pueblo Reservoir and a dispersed camping area nearby. First I have to change out my 4Runner lower control arms that are shot. I love my 4Runner for sure.
@@TheGrumpyGobbler all part of owning an off-road vehicle my friend. We might not do rock-crawling, but the roads and trails we enjoy eventually take a toll. I should be up and running this week with my new heavy duty Freedom Off-road lower control arms.
Jim - I just bought a sheet of vinyl and cut it myself. Didn't do such a great job and have to redo it. Think I might do more coverage and do a color next time.
This comment is coming from Illinois aka Commie-Nois, that view is pretty darn great! Great video, love the 4Runner, and thanks for sharing your trips with us.

Thanks, glad you liked the video. Drives me nuts finding a still smoldering fire. One of the reasons I always carry plenty of water.

great vid! question....safe to keep refrig in car during bear season? let me know curious, thank you!
Probably not. I’ve never had an issue, but I always have a weapon with me just in case

Pretty peaceful looking spot. Thanks again for another good one.
Kind of glad I couldn't get to my originally planned spot, this was a good find. Thanks Dennis.

Grumpy, just noticed you have a 'patch' on the hood scoop - which one did you buy? I have a white 4R and know it would help a lot.

What was that fire starter torch you used to start the fire? Link to it if possible?
