This is my list of the weakest Sternritter Schrifts in Bleach! It was another tough one, and most of the Schrift are so powerful that this turned out to be a much shorter list than the previous one. I'd love to get your thoughts - am I off base, or do you agree with any of my placements? I'm starting to think I put The Power a little low for example... Let me know - thanks everyone!
I think O the overkill was acctually in the top 5 strongest schrifts before that statement of Kubos because of its limittless powergain. I also think that Q the question could be in the top 5 aswell depending on the interpretation. We just dont have much to work with here but if you can force your enemie to kill themselves by simply talikng you could beat anyone. I think the Schrifts of Sternritters who die relativly quickly are often overlooked, because its hard for many to see its full potential
Putting the iron which was literally able to deflect hashwalth and putting the power (which is likely only weak due to being used by meninas and not cause of the shrift itself) below the question is just weird
I think The Jail is underrated and not as situational as portrayed. IMO, it is a universal, unconditional crowd control ability (arguably the best in Bleach). It can take any one target and indefinitely remove them from the equation. That's useful in a whole lot of combat circumstances, and it's a spectacular ability.
I'd love to hear what changes would have taken these shrifts off the list. Such as the roar deafening its victims who can hear it until it is deactivated.
I always thought The Iron should actually be highly useful considering it would, in theory, allow the user to get around the restriction of Blut; meaning they could use the offensive Blut Arterie at the same time that they defend with The Iron, instead of needing to constantly (and precariously) toggle between Arterie and Vene, like Quilge did. It's a shame that Mr. Kubo never followed through on such an idea and instead just threw Cang Du away.
That’s just the thing. Chang Du just wasted time and talent with his stolen Bankai. Once outplayed, he freaked out as his Schrifts didn’t get the job done
The Jail is broken as a 1v1 ability against any non-Quincy. As stated, even powerhouses like Urahara, Mayuri, Kenpachi, and Yamamomo, it seems like it would have effortlessly just nullified them completely. Heck, it's not obvious that even Aizen would have been able to break out of it. No way that's a "weak" schrift by any definition of the word.
I agree! I think of the Jail not even as a 1v1 power, but as the ultimate crowd control. It can remove ANYONE from a fight, no questions asked. That is incredible.
While i agree mayuri and urahara might not break out, yamamoto would probably break through it considering his bankai erases things from existence and kenpachi has been shown to cut thru space so he might be able to do it too.
@@aayushattri3238It was strong enough to hold up against Ichigo spamming getsuga in his Bankai, and that’s definitely on a level similar to the likes of Kenpachi. I think it’s safe to say everyone including Yamamoto could be confined by it. Though in Yama’s case it would probably require stealing his Bankai, and Ywbach being there to do so.
@xenoemblem7 the power was said to give the user kenpachi level strength in cfyow which is after tybw. Kubo basically just wrote it in but if it was stated meninas had that level of power in tybw liltoto would be dead 😭
i feel like the "you can kill animals" quirk of the overkill is incredibly abusable, just start ant farms and whenever youre about to go into battle wipe out a colony, thousands of ants, thousands of kills
Of the convoluted and the chaotic, I think The Jail is among the most highly praised by The Quincy King. It did exactly what he needed, to great effect.
@@Lu-db1uf I mean exactly what I said. It held Ichigo back to allow Yuha to start the first invasion. It was never meant to stop Ichigo. It was meant to create a needed opening.
All Quincy are created equal, but some are more equal than other lol. Tbf, it technically is equal because Yha etch a word into your souls, whether getting the "Death Dealing" or the "Scream" depend on your luck.
I think the iron is like celestial restriction, he can't use reishi/reiatsu abilities but his physical strenght and defense are increased when his iron is active
The Jail does deserve the mention, since Non-Quincies are the majority of characters in the series. Every single captain, every single hollow and every single fullbringer is completely defenceless, that sounds incredible
@@ironclad-m3qsure , it might stack , but everyone have super-strenght and is generally related to their reiatsu , rather than their ability. So her having super-strenght means little. She is basically F! Chad , ironically only better than him because she have a transformation to power boost her
@@phantasosxgames8488 When a power called super-strength in a world filled with superhuman, you think that means this power just makes the user on par with the others? Who in Bleach lift building with one hand? Not even Chad capable of doing that. Are we gonna brush off her putting Rukia in critical condition with one punch? Or act like Zaraki still jumping around after receiving her punch when all he did is just barely stand up?
I actually like The Question. It basically puts you into an unskippable cutscene but this power only works if Berenice was able to speak and if the opponent is listening to Berenice. I'd like to see how The Question interact with Shinso's Brainwash from BnHA
I originally thought that Schrifts were meant to work in tandem with each other in an emergent sense. Because 26 to match with the Gotei 13 so there would be an equivalent of Captain and Lieutenant So Berenice and Jerome for example would fuse their schrifts and "Roar The Question" because it was kinda weird as is , that they were paired off and they were directy counterproductive being in such close proximity to each other
Adding on to this idea, what could've been cool is they could've formed words with the Schrifts, so maybe it work like Kido Incantations, so the vowels would be weak would be really important and the ones that are not in words much like X or Q would be strong on their own. and it could've worked as a dark mirror to Ichibei's writing ability Modern printing vs ancient calligraphy
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we did not need TWO mind control schrifts. That’s basically what the Love and the Zombie were, despite their fancy names. It just felt like an easy way to make a bunch of characters useless pawns or give an excuse for two allies to fight eachother. It also doesn’t help that both characters using these schrifts are practically impossible to like.
@@PharaohOfTheDamned Fire abilities don’t turn a bunch of characters into puppets just to clear the board and allow more time to focus on just a few characters. It’s a writing cop out that helped compensate for Bleach’s massive cast during the final battles. That’s why Kubo did it twice. There’s a lot of fire type zanpakuto because it’s a known type of zanpakuto, just like Ice-type and water type.
The iron is only lame until you realize you can probably stack blut on it and be super durable, but the underbelly is trash and almost worst But realistically, intrusive thoughts plus thinking of negative things the visionary is easily the worst you can’t sleep you can’t think you always have doubt
Funny how under certain circumstances, Berenice should be able to beat Gremmy. Gremmy would self doubt himself and imagined himself losing like when he almost did against Kenpachi
He needs to hurry cuz gremmy kills people when he gets bored i mean he could’ve insta killed kenpachi but he wanted to see what his strength was like so if u bore him hed kill you like he did with rose and kensei.
Yeah, I don't think the Jail belongs here. It's essentially a oneshot ability, if you're struggling in a 1v1 and feeling cheap, you can trap your opponent and get help, or even just set up a strong attack like one of those Uryu did in Hueco Mundo before disengaging. In an even team fight, you can instantly remove one opponent from equation, potentially snowballing the fight and letting you all team up against the last guy after you killed all their friends. Quilge didn't get to show off things like that because Yhwach deemed his contingency to be more necessary, but imagine if he was in the first invasion, and he got it off against Yamamoto. There's suddenly a lot of dead people on your hands, and plenty of time to prepare to kill Head Captain as well. What if he tries to bankai inside there and hurts himself like Ichigo did? Just wasting energy would be giving an edge to Lloyd/Yhwach.
I feel The Jail should be thought of as this arc's Wonderweiss Margela. It was designed for a very specific purpose of taking out a specific opponent. Even if his whole purpose was to take out Ichigo, it would have taken the number 1 threat from the war. It would be way higher on the list should it be able to take out multiple like Kenpachi and other super threats at the same time.
Honestly, even one is good enough to deserve recognition. The first invasion is the perfect example. The quincies would never have gotten as far as they did if Ichigo was there.
I think The Jail is pretty overpowered. It's simply so absolute in what it does that it's hard to ignore. It's like if Nianzol's The Wind was so absolute that Senjumaru's thread couldn't possibly touch him, or if Nanana's The Underbelly simply worked on anyone immediately. The Jail is taken to another level, and it turns a potentially bad power into an excellent one. The Overkill's weakness I think is a good example of making something more interesting by limiting it. It adds a new layer to Driscol, a character who didn't have layers to begin with. The Question feels like if Rose's Bankai could actually be toned out by earplugs. The fact Kubo didn't rank Meninas #1 in hand to hand combat amongst the Bambies, let alone the Sternritter, says it all about her Schrift.
Let’s be real: the Shrift system in Bleach is a double-edged sword. While some abilities are downright game-changing, others feel like they were tossed in as an afterthought. Take the Raw, for instance. Transforming into a giant beast sounds epic, but what’s the point if it’s just a glorified target? It’s like Kubo had a brilliant idea but forgot to flesh it out. The inconsistency in power levels among the Sternritter is frustrating! I mean, how can you have such a diverse range of abilities and still end up with a few that feel utterly useless? It’s a fascinating world, but it definitely leaves room for improvement!
And let's not forget that he didn't even MAKE proper Schrifts for two of the letters. Like, he could make some really cool powers for X and Z, and even had a power ready for Q, but couldn't do a damn thing for K or N?
Your argument is quite valid. While upset with Meninas being here it does make sense with her "feats". I would honestly love to see numbers 2 and 3 get some sort of amp just so they are less lackluster.
I imagine Jerome could've been much worse to deal with, but circumstance can mess you up more than anything else. He was unfortunate enough to draw the attention of someone who could kill most people in 1 blow if he strikes first.
I feel like meninas has the potential to be the most powerful character physically at least have her be strong like gladiator from marvel almost like a superhuman among superhumans. cang du could potentially awesome as well I would have him use metals in the ground like earth bending but with iron and even a move where he can control the iron in your blood. Cang’s problem was that he just focused on a power he didn’t know shit about .
"The Question" would be more useful if Berenice was smart, strategic and didn't underestimate their opponent. For example, they could give Berenice a microphone or a speaker that would spread their questioning power throughout the battle field. I think Berenice isn't a fighting type or has high physical strength so they should send someone to protect them while they uses their powers. Definitely not Jerome. Maybe Nianzol Weizol? I think he's a good choice if he uses his "The Wind" to create an Aversion Field around himself and Berenice while Berenice uses "The Question".
Ya, I agree with your decision to not put The Jail on the list. The thing about powers is that, yes, some are going to be objectively better than others, but at the end of the day it all comes down to the user and purpose. And yes I do know that the whole point of the list is to separate them from the sternritter and judge the power on its own merits. However, I don't think that metric really applies in this case since the power is so specific and entirely dependent on the competency of its user, which in this case Quilge is very competent so the ability works really well. It accomplished what it's purpose was and caused a massive set back for Ichigo so I think it's a good power.
Definitely The Underbelly and The Question. It takes too long to work and while it did work on Aizen for a short time. The process of using it takes a while. The Question meanwhile is the ability to yap and like with Kenpachi, since he didn't hear Bernice. It was already over.
The Jail: It's a nigh-perfect containment ability, which even survives Quilge's death. One possible factor would be how many cages he could keep going at a time; another would be whether or not he can trap multiple foes at once. Whether in his capacity as the trainer of the Sternritter, or as head of the Jagadarmee, the ability to safely contain Hollows so others could practice/experiment on them could've made him very valuable overall. It also zaps Ichigo when he tries to escape iirc; if he can close the cage, it could be a near-guaranteed insta-kill technique. The Viability/The Stigma: I kinda think that Sklaverei has a similar effect to this (i.e. all Sternritter can power up/heal by rapidly consuming nearby Reishi) at the cost of transforming substantially. If Shaz's power keeps him largely unchanged, or if it has another notable advantage over Sklaverei's healing (or if it actually lacks that healing potential), it could be a substantial upgrade. It may even surpass a Hollow's ability to regenerate. The Overkill: It's theoretically possible that Driscoll could've stayed up all night, or that he could hold on to the power boost by meditating or something, but most likely he'd be fine with building up again. If the numbers are what matter, and not the strength of who/what he kills, then starting anew against more weak Shinigami could be fine with him, especially if his baseline strength is overwhelming as-is. The Underbelly: Analytical powers are strong throughout Bleach, so even its long time requirement doesn't outweight its benefits to me. The Ouken clothing blocking it is also such a specific circumstance that it shouldn't count as a weakness. As for needing to hit, the Quincy are generally pretty accurate, and if he's using it as part of a sneak attack or ambush, it seems effective enough. The Question: If it worked like The Fear, it could be cool; every shot causing those that survive to gradually question reality and lose track of what is real, filling them with paranoia. Instead, off-screen nobody picked the absolute worst match-up and got drowned out by the power of YELLING! The Power and The Iron have the potential advantage of either stacking with the similar Blut, or being active while the other Blut is also going. I'd also say that no, Blut wouldn't let other Sternritter hurl buildings, though because they're primarily ranged it's still an odd fit for any Quincy. The Roar: Yeah, there's really nothing redeeming it within the series. It could deafen people and break down communication, I guess, but getting bigger without an equivalent power boost doesn't seem great. Maybe it did and he would've been alright against anyone other than Kenpachi, but really the Gotei's offensive powers mean any captain could've probably torn him apart
The Jail is interesting. you say it only has a singular purpose, but we see that he can use it to stitch the opening to the Garganta closed. in theory, he should also be able stitch... any opening/portal closed. • Senkaimon Gates opened by Shinigami? ☑ • Discorer opened by Hollows? ☑ • holes/pits dug into the ground? ☑ • etc. if so that would make it pretty damned broken. 15:28 what? i thought it was because Byakuya was just THAT guy. so good, he doesn't even have any holes in his reiatsu. because he's so GOATed. (the perfect Shinigami). 28:16 i also hate that The Iron is seemingly so... well it's pretty underwhelming. because i too really liked Cang Du. i thought he was a cool looking character and i liked how honorable he was. his choice of weapon was also quite unique, especially for a Quincy. a pair of claws. if only his Shrift had a bit more utility. i mean, i could think of some more utility. evidently, as i did for The Jail. but, ugh i dunno. i will say though, one thing i thought of, that many fans have thought of is really quite obvious. his Shrift is indeed quite similar to Blut Vene. but then, the Quincies have access to something else. Blut Arteria. the one downside is that they cannot use both simultaneously. except for Cang Du. where his shrift could function in Blut Vene's place. and he could activate Arteria as well. giving him the ultimate Quincy defence and offence.
The power hasn’t even got the best physical strength feat we’ve seen. Remember that time Shuhei picked up and threw Ayon, who was taller than any of the buildings in Karakura town? He’s definitely heavier than the chunk of building Meninas lifted.
Shazz's is a perfect glass cannon. A great and useful ability yet the weakness in lack of control is too glaring. Still, him wiping out Central 46 and Kira saving the only true reformist among the wolves helped jumpstart the era of reform in Soul Society. The first of it's kind and more so with Shunsui's happy cooperation.
Imagine using "Iron" schrift enhanced by blut vein with volsternding. Mask has the potential to surpass even the strongest captains depending on the no. of cheers he gets. Meninas was also underutilized and her strength surpasses Zaraki without Volsternding in the novels.
I couldn’t imagine the jail landing on this list. I feel like part of the reason Quilge never made it out of Hueco Mundo is because he knew it was broken. Imagine he just trapped Yamamoto in a cage and just stabbed him through the bars or left him there unable to do anything
Tbh I'd almost put the jail on strongest. Imagine playing a game and you have a crowd control that takes out someone on the enemy team indefinitely. That's absolutely bonkers.
@@Psychoveliatonetdo we even know how many he can have active at once? For all we know he can permanently remove who knows how many heavy hitters from the battle entirely.
@@bulbaa2241 that or he’s just stupid/egotistical and thought “my shrift is much to good for these losers” but yeah it’s more likely he just couldn’t spam it
I think it's so weird that we know about the Question and The Roar but we know nothing about N and K, even though their users did more in the arc than Berenice and ape dude
Imagine getting Bernice in a fighting game and the player has to type out full sentence questions on a keyboard in order to activate special abilities.
this channel is eating good. because 1) Bleach is never finished (Hell Arc) 2) Bleach anime is still ongoing 3) Kubo is always revealing new stuff to talk about 4) Bleach anime is going to have new scenes that not even manga readers know about
I still find it funny that Cang Du is one of the best Quincy characters to use in Brave Souls despite his very limited appearance. I always thoght he was underutilised and had potential for more. He has one of my favorite designs. JUst wish more could have been done. Lets wait for him to appear in the console game. Maybe he will be done some justice.
You undersold the hell out of The Jail. It is instant victory against anything other than a fellow Quincy. It wouldn't surprise me if Quilge was Ywach's contingency for Aizen. Likewise, Hashchwalt cut through Tensa Zangetsu in a single swing. Not much would be able to get through The Iron.
Theory: The Sternritter are weaker than both the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo (Post-Aizen), but have a higher scaling potential. By the nature of their creation, the Sternritter can be considered Quasi-Divine. They are created by consuming Yhwach's blood, which then "ties them to his Majesty". Presumably, this means that as Yhwach gets stronger, then so will they. At the very least, the next generation of Sternritter will be stronger. This stands in contrast to the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. Soul Society: The Soul King does not get stronger and the Shinigami can only improve themselves through "Soul Training" and the weaving of reitsu into Kido / Hado. The Zanpakuto were created from the Hollow ikomikidomoe. Hueco Mundo: The Hollows eat each other, having to remain uninjured all the way past the Adjuchas Stage, in order to become a Vasto Lorde. The Arrancar Form is created by the Hogyoku, with the exception of Stark, by reversing the principals that the Shinigami used to create their Zanpakuto. This is possible by the Hogyoku recreating the Hollows and inserting Shinigami Soul Energy into it, creating a hybrid upon re-birth.
I wish Kubo would’ve expanded on Berenice Gabrielli’s Schrift The Question I really wanted to see what it could truly do I hated how Kubo just killed Berenice off so quick
How do you feel about this idea The schift effect the Quincies reishi they collected. Instead of can du making his body iron when he shoot some one with an arrow they became iron
25:24 yes i feel Roar does work in a particular direction. Its like if you break it down into two parts - loud roar + an ability hidden within it that pops heads due to sheer pressure. I feel the "roar" goes around in aoe, but not the head bursting thing(aka the damage dealing property behind it). Why? Because well, for Zaraki yes you can say his reiatsu was simply too strong that it nullified Roar. But what about Berenice? He was also in the vicinity trying to use his schrift. It was infact the loud noise from Roar, that Zaraki did not hear Berenice questioning him..hence rendering Berenice's schrift useless. 1- So either his roar only does "damage" apart from noise, to only non-quincies(probably some clause like The Jail...otherwise Berenice would probably have been injured if not straight up dead by Roar) 2- OR Roar's voice goes around everywhere but the damage is dealt in a straight line 3- OR Berenice's schrift gives him immunity to voice type attacks somehow. No other explanation lol.
The thought of overkill eating a jar of bugs to kill the bugs but not gaining the power because he ate them is silly. The iron sounds like what Greed does in full metal alcamist but like worst?
Kubo should’ve went with “The Unknown” for a U shrift instead of The Underbelly. The Unknown would allow that Quincy to use any other shrift for a couple minutes and then it switches to another shrift making it unknown as to what power the Quincy would gain. What do you guys think about this?
I don't like the Underbelly, but also not a fan of the one you proposed. It wouldn't work in the story because it would end up spoiling the schrifts for Sternritters we haven't met yet lessening the impact of those character's shrifts being revealed and is a little generic in that regard. I do like the idea of "The Unknown" as the name, though. There's a lot of potential with that.
@@sarkaztik3228 True, when I thought about that shrift I was thinking of the character to be an elite guard so in my head it would make sense for them to have a broken power like that and considering the part of the story the elite guard have their respective battles it wouldn’t spoil much since by then all of the shrifts are revealed so this individual would just serve as a combined might of shrifts that were already handled. Maybe as a bonus when he uses the persons shrift it’s double the power but it comes with a cost of a time limit since it automatically jumps to another shrift at random after using one shrift for 5-10 minutes.
@@sarkaztik3228 Another shrift ability idea I have for “The unknown” is the user would have the power to teleport whoever he/she wants to unknown realms, dimensions that are separate from hell, the world of the living hueco mundo, and the soul society. The user would have the terrain advantage as he would know every detail of the new world he transports his target to but they wouldn’t. And in these worlds things don’t function as they do on the main 3 worlds of bleach. Like for example there could be a world in which fire freezes u and ice burns u, or a world where bugs are much larger than other creatures. What do u think about this one?
Tbh "The Question" must be work even the target is can't hear him, if I fix that ability I would like Berenice must heal their ears while he's speaking just to make it more effective or "The Question" must still work even Kenpachi cannot hear him just like Mr. Tommo said is some circumstances Zaraki still hearing him it must be work then even it's a little damage. Another thought on it Kubo must used that ability without flaw on it own because the user is the one monologuing here it should be more effective if he declared to object someone's existence then it should be work I just don't like he placed the nerfing just to make it weak without your sense of hearing is useless actually who knows maybe those FLAWS are unavoidable in his vollstandig. I also complain this to "The Iron" because some of the characters can cut iron if they know it's "iron" just like Zaraki when Gremmy said he imagined himself like impenetrable like an steel then Zaraki immediately adjust his strength to cut him😂. "The Overkill" must not nerf like that Driscoll must keep that strength he gathered from all he killed just like Yammy storing his spiritual energy, Driscoll must storing it too and adjust it whenever he wants I don't really like the way he nerf that schrift eating and sleeping then the strength he gathered from hundred living beings he killed are just fading that way is useless because you must start again just to gained that strength again so funny that Kubo nerfing those schrifts that is almost broken
I interpreted The Question as the ability to make the listener doubt whatever you're 'questioning'. As a vs battle example, Berenice could potentially completely shut down Makima's powers by simply saying 'I am stronger than you, Makima'. From everything I know about The Question and Makima's abilities, there is no reason this should not work. Forcing your opponent to doubt themselves, their abilities, potentially their entire cause, sounds like a great psychological warfare tactic to me. The activation, though, is way too long for a soldier who's fighting on the frontlines. Or at least it seems that way.
How i can make these schrift stonger? 1. The iron : have it also the ability to manipulate metal or magnetism. A lot of magnets are made of iron. Imagine cang du levetating a bunch of swords, rendering most shinigami weaponless and unable to fight except for those who use hakuda. 2. The power: ability to absorb power and release it. So using physical force is rendered useless. Only a sneak attack or poison can win. 3.the glutton: anything she eats can also be puked back. Imagine storing someone in your pocket dimension. 4. The roar: additional ability of sound manipulation 5. The jail: pretty good but situational. So have quilge also use those prison defensively.
The iron is kinda cool but that’s all it does. Idk if you guys have ever watched Ben 10 but there’s a character that can absorb and turn into any material he touches. Idk just iron skin seems lacking compared to everything else even the other “bad” ones
8:52 Thinking about it the Viability really should be called I The Immortal, as it basically makes you immortal as long as there is Reishi in the air, which in the Soul Society where everything is Reishi, yeah he basically can't die.
I don’t think the Schrifts were all that weak. They just leaked a powerful, intelligent and potent holder and are evident to how powerful Yhwach really was. He only needed to give a fraction of his soul and BAM a seemingly op soldier. Looking at other anime there is so much that could be done with explode, fear, thunderbolt, zombie, power, visionary.
In One Piece for example, most of those abilities would be very useful or damn near broken if used properly. We see “Explode” with Gladius and is tactical use of basically the same ability made him very troublesome, Thunderbolt is just a weaker version of Enel’s fruit but even still throwing lightning is all Nami has done post-timeskip and she’s a proper glass cannon, Gecko Moria literally had a zombie army and was both a menace with prep-time on in an active war zone, we have 2 “power” fruits with Mad Monk Uruge being a supernova and Jesus Burgess throwing buildings around, Visionary is a watered down version of Uta’s fruit and Big Mom with her homies was is a demon with a very limited version of it, and Perona proved devil fruits that instill tremendous negative emotions can be very potent.
@@gameinsane4718If we follow this one and twist things depending on the "extent" and "creativity" of the user, the P can be like Belo Betty's power. It can enhance different forms of "power" either physical, mental, or even spiritual energy of the user and the comrades around her.
Something random I was thinking about when you were explaining Yuha sees the Letters of people or the word that represents them.... ...isn't too dissimilar from Ichibei's abilities. Did Ichibei have the power innately over the names of all things or did he steal it from the Soul King when he was split apart?
Bernice power would only on people who are Smarter. Kenpachi is a bad match up, because he couldn’t care, he attacks. Her power would be overpowered or the weakest.
The only way overkill can be use at a lot power all the time is the user destroys an ant colony because depending of species there would be 20,000 to 100,000 ants
Wouldn't Hisagi's Zanpakutõ's ability to restructure his body save him from death if O the Overkill tryed killing him? I mean, he survived a sniper shot from Lille Barro and more. Seemingly Immortal.
@@gilgeaschwithkerk2344 I agree with adult Hitsugaya beating him. What about tybw bankai Hitsugaya? He has better mobility and a wider variety of techniques. His ice can be produced on a greater scale too
If your power is so bad it undermines a power that already is very ahem questionable in how it’s used by making others unable to be affected by it by the activation of your own power, it’s easy to see why the Roar is the worst
I think what you have to think about it that Yhwach has all the schrifts before giving them out so yes some are insanely powerful and some not but if you have the iron, the roar, the power and the jail all in a fight you would be pretty powerful plus the others he has too. So I think that’s why some are broken and some aren’t it’s just they aren’t meant to be powerfully equal on their own and so he gives them out to who he thinks deserves the most powerful ones
I raise a third answer to why Q the Question didn’t work on Kenpachi: If someone rips out your throat because you asked them a question, you have been answered and overcome.
2 of the Sternritter had the same powers as 2 of the Seven Deadly Sins from Full Metal Alchemist. “The Iron”’is almost exactly the same as Greed’s “Ultimate Defense”, and “The Glutton” is essentially identical to Gluttony’s ability to eat and absorb a persons abilities.
Iron could have been so much better if it allowed the user to make weapons out their body. Like those claws he uses, were part of his schrift. When frozen, he creates protruding blades all over his body and shatters the ice, etc etc. Like give him "something". However, it is understandable as these powers were not "given" to them, but rather "awakened" within them. Just like how a shinigami's zanpakuto is a reflection of their own personality and life(i know this is just a massive generalization considering zanpakuto have their own spirits that have their own personalities as well but the point still holds)., similarly a schrift also is a reflection of the quincies personality and ideals. Perhaps, Uryu wished for a power that allows him to convert his weakness into strength. Haschwalth wished to maintain balance. Askin hated death. etc etc. These feelings, emotions, etc just piled up into their schrift. Ones with less lofty ideals and shallow emotions got the shorter end of the stick and the likes of As Nodt who became privy to the concept of Fear to his very core awakened a schrift that was much more dangerous than lets say Bazz B, who just wanted pure power to defeat whatever stands in his way. PS i am not saying Bazz B is one of the few who got the shorter end of the stick. His power is verrrryy strong. What i am saying is, at the later stages of a show like Bleach, hax abilities are frankly the only things that fly well. As nodt's powers feel much more..."conceptual" while bazz b's schrift is straightforward and materialistic.
I think Roar and Question were stopped by their users weakness. Both users were killed before they could even _try_ using it on Kenpachi. If Kenpachi can Tesla you, you are low vice Captain level. So even if the damage is 5 times their normal output, it was unlikely to work.
I figured Cang would be at the top, not considering the offscreened victims of Kenpachi. I think Kirge is correctly left off this list, as his power does exactly what is intended and was just a victim of “bad matchup”. Imagine if Kirge had trapped Aizen?
I definitely think the jail belongs on the list but at the end, it's a strong ability but it's use does nothing for the user itself and it has no other flexable uses outside trapping
Keep up.the amazing content
Bernice be like: "Your Majesty, what is my power?"
Yhwach: "...You YAP...that is it."
This ability will always be a bloody hilarious epic fail. They sure underestimated Kenpachi and he had them in a lifeless heap within moments.

You cannot tell me Berenice wasn't a Redditor before this. Or maybe a chan poster.
Funniest death in Bleach no cap. Zaraki ripping the throat out of the girl with speech powers is hilarious.
I always thought the iron was just absolute control over the metal in their own body
But that still wouldnt be a good schrift since the arrancar basically had that ability as well
Same thought
I don't like the implications of making your skin iron since its language seems to confine the power level of bleach to cutting iron
@@PsychoveliatonetIs it what Ywach used as his surprise attack against Aizen? I always assumed so.
Imagine a power system so broken that having Kenpachi level strength is considered one of the weakest abilities you can receive 😂
Pretty sure The Power actually surpasses Kenpachi's strength, iirc. It's mentioned in supplementary material.
@@sarkaztik3228yeah in terms of raw power (and that alone) I think Meninas is straight-up the strongest in the verse

Imagine just carrying around a giant ant farm just incase you need power at a moments notice HAHAHA
I'm convinced Kubo created the Power just so he can have an excuse to make a Muscle Waifu. 😂
i dont wanna a "casual" hug from that muscle waifu. 😂

Of the convoluted and the chaotic, I think The Jail is among the most highly praised by The Quincy King. It did exactly what he needed, to great effect.
What do you mean? I completely failed to stop Ichigo.
Yeah, Yhwachs goal was to awaken ichigo’s Quincy powers through quilge’s jail
@@Lu-db1uf I mean exactly what I said. It held Ichigo back to allow Yuha to start the first invasion. It was never meant to stop Ichigo. It was meant to create a needed opening.

All Quincy are created equal, but some are more equal than other lol.
Tbf, it technically is equal because Yha etch a word into your souls, whether getting the "Death Dealing" or the "Scream" depend on your luck.
Instead of the Iron, it should be the Immutable or Invincible. For a period of time he has an ultimate defense.
It could have been something along the lines of being immune to any form of damage while staying still.
The TITLE CARD schrift
Best Cang Du has going for him is that he can always use Blut Arterie.
So it's funny he doesn't.
I think Tsukishima could do something about it with his fullbring.
19:08 "The Power " seems useless already simply because it does the exact same thing "Blut Arterie" already does lol
You think both don't stack?
Because 26 to match with the Gotei 13 so there would be an equivalent of Captain and Lieutenant
So Berenice and Jerome for example would fuse their schrifts and "Roar The Question" because it was kinda weird as is , that they were paired off and they were directy counterproductive being in such close proximity to each other
Adding on to this idea, what could've been cool is they could've formed words with the Schrifts, so maybe it work like Kido Incantations, so the vowels would be weak would be really important and the ones that are not in words much like X or Q would be strong on their own.
and it could've worked as a dark mirror to Ichibei's writing ability
Modern printing vs ancient calligraphy
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we did not need TWO mind control schrifts. That’s basically what the Love and the Zombie were, despite their fancy names.
It just felt like an easy way to make a bunch of characters useless pawns or give an excuse for two allies to fight eachother. It also doesn’t help that both characters using these schrifts are practically impossible to like.
Nice Profile Picture
I feel you but at the same time how many fire abilities are in bleach?
@@PharaohOfTheDamned Fire abilities don’t turn a bunch of characters into puppets just to clear the board and allow more time to focus on just a few characters. It’s a writing cop out that helped compensate for Bleach’s massive cast during the final battles. That’s why Kubo did it twice.
There’s a lot of fire type zanpakuto because it’s a known type of zanpakuto, just like Ice-type and water type.
@@CaptainKotetsuthere is only one water type zanpakto that we’ve seen, kaien shiba’s nejibana
@CaptainKotetsu and mind control is a well known ability and a fun one. And turning people into zombies isn't mind control
Imagine Aizen reaching the soul palace and he gets hit with the jail schrift. Lol
Justice for Cang Du!
Facts!
• Discorer opened by Hollows? ☑
• holes/pits dug into the ground? ☑
• etc.
if so that would make it pretty damned broken.
15:28 what? i thought it was because Byakuya was just THAT guy. so good, he doesn't even have any holes in his reiatsu. because he's so GOATed.
I imagine Kenpachi Zaraki would've sliced up "The Iron" since he said he can cut with a force that cuts Steel 😅

2) Bleach anime is still ongoing
3) Kubo is always revealing new stuff to talk about
4) Bleach anime is going to have new scenes that not even manga readers know about
I still find it funny that Cang Du is one of the best Quincy characters to use in Brave Souls despite his very limited appearance. I always thoght he was underutilised and had potential for more. He has one of my favorite designs. JUst wish more could have been done. Lets wait for him to appear in the console game. Maybe he will be done some justice.
I think a cool video idea would be creating a whole alphabet of new schrifts, or even just replacing some of the weaker ones
The iron just seems like a stronger version of an arrancars hierro that needs to activated consciously.
I wish Kubo would’ve expanded on Berenice Gabrielli’s Schrift The Question I really wanted to see what it could truly do I hated how Kubo just killed Berenice off so quick
Dig the video idea! Love this content
How do you feel about this idea
The schift effect the Quincies reishi they collected.
Instead of can du making his body iron when he shoot some one with an arrow they became iron
The Iron reminds me greatly of Greed's ultimate shield in FMA, except in that series a sheet of metal covering your skin is legitimately very good.
1- So either his roar only does "damage" apart from noise, to only non-quincies(probably some clause like The Jail...otherwise Berenice would probably have been injured if not straight up dead by Roar)
2- OR Roar's voice goes around everywhere but the damage is dealt in a straight line
3- OR Berenice's schrift gives him immunity to voice type attacks somehow.
Now do a list of the worst/weakest Soul Reapers, Arrancars, etc
A couple months ago he already did a video about strongest and weakest bainki
I like how YWhach kills his soldiers instantly whenever they fail but Aizen kept Yammy around despite losing every fight
4. The roar: additional ability of sound manipulation
5. The jail: pretty good but situational. So have quilge also use those prison defensively.
Just make the iron have the powers of risotto from jjba golden wind he is surprisingly op
I’m so excited for the rest of TYBW.✋😭
The iron is kinda cool but that’s all it does. Idk if you guys have ever watched Ben 10 but there’s a character that can absorb and turn into any material he touches. Idk just iron skin seems lacking compared to everything else even the other “bad” ones
Kevin Levin
If Cang Du would've combined Blut with his Schrift, he would have been physically invulnerable at least. You'd need a Kenpachi to open that can(g).
Bernice power would work on people like Aizen. Kenpachi speak only in sword.
Reason why, is because Aizen like chatting
You can call Meninas underwhelming all you want but…she still alive so…
Bernice power would only on people who are Smarter.
Kenpachi is a bad match up, because he couldn’t care, he attacks.
Her power would be overpowered or the weakest.
Beautiful beard
Would the roar be stronger if he had a megaphone?
The only way overkill can be use at a lot power all the time is the user destroys an ant colony because depending of species there would be 20,000 to 100,000 ants
Wouldn't Hisagi's Zanpakutõ's ability to restructure his body save him from death if O the Overkill tryed killing him?
I mean, he survived a sniper shot from Lille Barro and more. Seemingly Immortal.
That’s exactly what happened
It's hilarious that the Question basically only existed as a joke to show Kenpachi plowing through multiple sternritters.
The list is great.
Hey wondering if you could make a vid on the apparent leaks that have came out saying cour 3 and 4 production has been a 'disaster'
22:51 Wait but Steel-type moves are super effective against Fairy-, Ice-, and Rock-type.......
Make a video on what would happen if Hitsugaya with bankai vs bazz b 2 happened
Adult Hitsugaya? Since He takes away the ability to use any power Hitsugaya kills bazz b realy easy.
@@gilgeaschwithkerk2344 I agree with adult Hitsugaya beating him. What about tybw bankai Hitsugaya? He has better mobility and a wider variety of techniques. His ice can be produced on a greater scale too
It would be great if Jerome roars were like in Skyrim. Multiple kids of roar like rire Roar, buff Roar, slow roar, ice roar, etc.
Bro bleach is literally around the corner!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know your ability is weak when you can literally go “LALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALALA!” And counter it.
If your power is so bad it undermines a power that already is very ahem questionable in how it’s used by making others unable to be affected by it by the activation of your own power, it’s easy to see why the Roar is the worst
5:40 I didn't know she rolled like that lol
Your letter is I for I guess you will lose pretty quick 😂😂😂
I think what you have to think about it that Yhwach has all the schrifts before giving them out so yes some are insanely powerful and some not but if you have the iron, the roar, the power and the jail all in a fight you would be pretty powerful plus the others he has too. So I think that’s why some are broken and some aren’t it’s just they aren’t meant to be powerfully equal on their own and so he gives them out to who he thinks deserves the most powerful ones
The Iron is just a worse version of The Wind
I raise a third answer to why Q the Question didn’t work on Kenpachi:
If someone rips out your throat because you asked them a question, you have been answered and overcome.
12:13 They look and act similar
So it's ironic and funny Driscoll and Yammy power are the the complete opposite of eachother in how they work
I think Roar and Question were stopped by their users weakness. Both users were killed before they could even _try_ using it on Kenpachi.
If Kenpachi can Tesla you, you are low vice Captain level. So even if the damage is 5 times their normal output, it was unlikely to work.
Could make it so Menias can choose to buff herself or someone else. Makes her being part of a set more threatening.
Well, its tricky, but yeah, good list. The Prison does belong on here.
Iron could of been decent if it was mentioned to be like a passive blut vene so he can focus on blut artiere all the time without drawback.
I figured Cang would be at the top, not considering the offscreened victims of Kenpachi. I think Kirge is correctly left off this list, as his power does exactly what is intended and was just a victim of “bad matchup”. Imagine if Kirge had trapped Aizen?
Did the knowledge get better explained or something? I really expected it to be on this list somewhere?
My boy Berenice coming out on top with this one🔥🔥🔥
An honorable mention of an honorable mention 😅
I definitely think the jail belongs on the list but at the end, it's a strong ability but it's use does nothing for the user itself and it has no other flexable uses outside trapping
